Mountain Mike’s Pizza

So unhappy with their delivery. Ordered online. Said 1 hour to deliver 1 mile away. On a Thursday. Took 1 hour 25 minutes to get my pizza. It was only 1 pizza and some garlic bread… When I called to find out where it was. I was told the driver had 2 other deliveries so I needed to be patient. 25 minutes past the hour you already told me. I was being patient. Get your stuff together. Quit making your customers wait so long. Then try and make us feel like it was something we did wrong…

Best pizza so far in my vicinity, but I still like Rico’s, but that is too far to drive.
I targeted their pizza buffet, but doh! got off of work at 2pm. Just missed it, no destiny.
The problem I have with this pizza, is that they use little pepperonis. I like the big pepperonis.
Everything else was good. I think this’ll be my pizza place in my area. I will try domino’s and pizza factory, but this is the best closest to me so far.
Small, pepperoni and mushroom with parmesan cheese to soak up the oil.

The staff here is great. Always helpful and friendly. Service was prompt and accurate. The food was great. When I want pizza this is where I go.

I work at a rival pizza place and my entire work staff agreed to order from mountain mikes because it is so amazing!
Honestly, I would give my first born son to be able to have Mountain Mikes Pizza every day because it’s so Damn Amazing!

Great pie with lotsa toppings. Cooked perfectly with no burnt crust. Good service to the end.

I was skeptical about the place but the pizza was good and ours came out fast. The guy at the counter was very helpful and courteous. Only 4 stars because the place looks like it needs to be cleaned.

Went in about a week ago and the pizza was decent but was overpriced. The customer service is the main reason why I made a review. When I walked in the kid who was at the counter had a very bad attitude and acted like he didn’t want to be there. Then right behind him an oversized gentlemen was bending over to grab something and you could see EVERYTHING in the back region. I felt very put off and disgusted. The pizza and the employees combined does not make me want to go back to Mountain Mikes anytime soon.

Best costumer service!!! Manager Brianna remade our pizzas in the thin crust form after when we realized the regular crust was a little thicker then we like. No problem. Thank you

Pizza’s pretty decent for a chain restaurant, but the service is terrible. The first time I went, I waited about 40 minutes for 1 medium pizza when there were only a couple other customers in the place. The second time, I called for carryout, and because I arrived a little early, I was waiting next to someone and overheard that they’d messed up her order. The young man at the register just laughed and said they’d have to put her pizza in right then – no apology, no offer to comp it, not even a coupon or anything for her trouble. I just went again tonight and I waited about 35 minutes for 1 large pizza. Three of the tables in the main area were empty with dirty plates everywhere and weren’t bussed the entire time I was there (at least 50 minutes).
Maybe hire some more people? Better people? I don’t know, but I don’t ever want to go back.

Went in about 20 minutes before closing time, ordered for take out and received great service from Alex. The Mt. Everest was good like always. Always one of my favorite combination pizzas.

If I could give no stars I would! I literally just made a Unilocal account to write a review for this shitty place! Called for a delivery and spoke to a man named Alex, the RUDEST man EVER. When I asked to speak to the manager he chuckled and snapped back saying his name is Alex and he’ll explain the situation to him himself and put me on hold right away without waiting for my response. The manager, Brandon, came on the phone and apologized and seemed uninterested in the matter and seemed to have the snappy attitude himself. I obviously did not place the order nor ever will.
As I scrolled the Unilocal reviews for this place I noticed that another user had also reviewed about Alex 5 MONTHS AGO! Why is he still working? Clearly he doesn’t love his job and has no sense of customer service or respect in that matter. He needs to work as a janitor or something away from customers since they are obviously unwilling to fire him.

I must say, the pizza here is phenomenal and so are the garlic breadsticks. SOOOOO GOOD! We ordered the Hawaiian pizza and it wasn’t greasy at all. The bread was just crispy enough on the bottom and so fluffy on top, it’s an art really. We also ordered hot wings. Now, I am so bottomless when it comes to hot wings but I’m usually picky about them. The hot wings at this place are so delicious! Not too soggy and flavorful… Although I would’ve liked them to be a little spicier. The pizza venue itself is very dated and I don’t mean a good ol’ mountain feel dated… it’s just –really– dated.
One thing I would like to add is the customer service. Everyone, except for the one guy trying to rationalize these idiot young people’s actions, is right about how unprofessional they are. We walked in to see a not-​so-​pleasant girl at the register. No smile, no pep, no… Anything. She looked like she just found out she was gonna lose a limb. SPEAKING OF WHICH… When we sat down and were served, 3 employees sat down to watch tv and eat. Normal behavior, a little break, maybe they don’t have a break room. Not a big deal to me. What bothered me was the conversation coming from these people. One kid brought up the fact that someone he knew didn’t have a leg or something to that affect and the girl was lecturing him loudly about how he shouldn’t be so judgmental because he has a baby as that baby might lose a leg, who knows!!! They went on and on and it went on for about 10 minutes. I didn’t feel personally offended but what if someone who actually didn’t have a limb were there listening to that? I don’t care if they’re young… What type of crappy management is running this facility? The boy in question was one of the guys in the back making pizza. He had his shorts around his ass… he looked dirty (and I don’t mean normal pizza cook dirty), and he looked uninterested in the job itself. Just a hot hot mess of a place.
However, as stated, the food was to die for.

Pizza was hard not fresh as well as the bread. We went for the lunch special but they would not make any other type of pizza.

Had the worst delivery experience here tonight. A guy named Alex was extremely rude kept asking me my address then saying are you sure you don’t have an Apartment number… um buddy I know my address .then when an hour passes and no delivery I call back and he answers v with a um hello. & I’m like yah just wondering if you are lost with my pizza then he says well I tried to call u like 10 times all sarcastic. I’m like nope my phones right next to me. Then he’s like oh its on its way… rude, sarcastic, never had bad service like that before. especially from a place that I usually love. Then the pizza was not at temp. didn’t taste like mountain Mikes standards at all .just a bad experience all the way around …

I’ve been going to this store for years. The pizza is always excellent, the service is friendly and courteous, and the prices are fine for gourmet pizza. If you want quality, you’re going to pay for it. For the people complaining about the staff: cut the workers a break, huh? They are usually young kids that are working hard for minimum pay and dealing with customers that can be quite rude at times. I’ve never had a problem with the management in ten years of ordering from this place. Great food.

First off, I LOVE the pizza here. There is something about it that sits well in my stomach and tickles my taste buds.
However, the staff, dining area and price are terrible.
Staff — The staff is rude and disinterested. Oddly enough, the female staff seems more rude than the male staff. They do not offer you anything by way of cheese or pepper, you have to ask for every little thing you get.
The conversations I have overheard from the staff are also inappropriate for a place that kids eat. I assume that the ownership pays them poorly and therefor they don’t give a crap about the place, so it maybe both side of the coin on this issue.
Dine-​In — The dining area is horrible. The furniture is uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Wooden booths??? What the hell were they thinking? Good luck sitting in them if you have a gut too.
Also, as other reviewers have mentioned. The way they penny pinch the salad/​pizza bar is ridiculous! They put out 2 personal size pizzas at a time and wait till there is only 1 slice left before refreshing it. The salad bar is questionable too. The veggies look far from fresh and the dressings look like they sit out at room temperature. I actually chucked a salad once because the ranch smelled rotten.
Price — With so many other pizza places dropping prices and having take out deals, you would think that Mountain Mike’s would want to try and compete, but it seems like they don’t care. I know you pay for what you get and a pizza from Little Cesar’s vs. Mountain Mike’s is no competition, but at least try to cut us a deal. I routinely walk away from Mountain Mike’s questioning why I’m willing to spend the money on their pizza.
Bottom line, the pizza is good. That’s the ONLY reason I go back.

I have always had great pizza when eating here. Pizza is always good. The only problem I have had here is the limited amount of pizza in the lunch buffet. When we arrived it was about 12:30 and there was only one combination pizza sitting out with four slices left. I asked if more pizza was coming out and the girl behind the counter gave me an annoyed look. Finally, one cheese pizza came out and like three families ran up there to get pizza and it was gone. I guess you have to get there and the right time. I prefer to just get a take out order.

To clarify, Round Table is the best pizza in Turlock. However, Mountain Mike’s does have the best quality to price ratio. They have online coupons you can use in their online ordering site, which means you don’t have to print them. I never understood why most pizza places insist you print their coupons. Their lil pepperoni cups eat though!

I usually enjoy Mt. Mikes, but the Turlock CA franchise is flat terrible.
I ask for a Canadian Bacon and Peperoncini medium pizza. Young gal says «let me ask if we can do that». Comes back and tells me «we can’t put peperoncinis on a pizza». I said, just take them out of the salad bar and put them on my pizza. She claims «my manager says we are not allowed to do that». Great call retard manager! Make rules to make your customers unhappy.
I told the young gal I was in a hotel room, so could she please remind the driver that I needed the setup… plates, napkins, red peppers and cheese. Driver shows up with nothing and then asked if I needed my change back. Yes, I do. And I hope you are looking for work soon because this branch goes broke.
