Ok so we went into Mr. Pickles Turlock on Valentines Day right after they opened. I was very specific about what I wanted on all 3 Pastrami sandwiches and she kept asking me what number I wanted… So maybe that is why they got so royally screwed up. Whatever the reason the sandwiches were completely dry with meat, cheese and kraut. So if you like to get home with a completely wrong order, and you like salty attitudes and you like spending around $ 30 bucks on fast food HEADONOVER!!! I was so disappointed and then my poor mom took her sandwich in yesterday for a replacement, mind you I dumped mine and my grandaughters in the Garbage, and they told her no they could only replace what they could see… ok I won’t be going back.

They get my order wrong 9 out of 10 times. I am done with this establishment for good. You have broke my heart for the last time Mr. Pickles… lol! No really I’m just tired of wasting my time having to go back and get my order remade… ain’t nobody got time for that! How hard it is to make a sand which, really?

Excellent sandwich, had the #7, bread was fresh and warm, the turkey was moist and flavorful, and the price was reasonable. Will be back.

Three stars for Great sandwiches, but HORRIBLE customer service… and it was the Manager that was helping us. When you walk in she doesn’t look up, no greeting, awkward silence until she walks aways and gets someone else to help you. This happened on more than one occasion and I spoke to the owner and he didn’t seem concerned. In addition to the bad customer service, we wanted to eat inside, but since it was 30 mins until closing they wrapped our sandwiches to go and said we couldn’t eat there! Bad customer service means customers will not return!(80%of your business comes from the same 20% of return customers, so when you lose 20%, you lose your business)

Pretty good sandwiches I must say! I got the Fast Eddy on the dutch crunch bread and it was a good combination of ingredients [mine had everything on it]. I would definitely come here again if i were ever in the area.

My favorite sandwich shop in town! Way better than Subway, the only downside is that it isn’t open as late as other places. I always get the BLAT(Bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) on Dutch Crunch. Seriously so yummy and filling, and they give you a free chocolate chip cookie with your order!

Two words: FOODPOISONING. What HAPPENED to this place?! 1) the sandwich my husband brought home for me was a mess. It was slopped together carelessly. 2) you’re paying the same price, and getting less produce, worse quality, no more cookies and my boys kids meal came with a juice box. What happened to the cookie, treat, applesauce and toy? Getting rid of that is one thing, but charging the same price and getting less is unacceptable. 3) please clean. My husband said he wasn’t too surprised I got sick because the counter was disgusting. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned. 4) yes, food poisoning. Within 15 minutes of eating my food I started feeling ill. I spent the next 12 hours non stop vomiting. I got sick. Bummer. What INFURIATES me is my poor 4 year old crying that his tummy hurts so bad. He can’t can’t keep his bowels controlled and is vomiting. Take MORECARE of what you’re serving people. I will never be back.

Love the dutch crunch bread with turkey. This place is a great alternative to subway which gets boring. Once I get the free cookie its a perfect match.

Tuna Tuna on wheat is my go to sand which there! It’s incredible, great staff, great sandwich and they give discounts to CSU Stanislaus students haha If I had more money I’d come here every day but I still go maybe once a week. The sandwiches are shorter than subways but they are stacked high and every bite has the best combo of flavors! I’m about to go get one now haha, I’m getting hungry xD

One star for freshness, one star for cleanliness. Customer service is so lacking at this location. I asked if she could throw my sub in the microwave after it was done. Her response, «Oh, we don’t do that.» Umm. OK. Didn’t realize I was asking for something out of the ordinary. After dealing with her sassy attitude I also asked for light mayo. When I got home, mayonnaise was practically pouring out of the sub. Never coming back.

Came here last week for the 1st time. I had the Manhattan? I think. Pastrami with swiss on Wheat bread. Also when you order the whole sandwich meal you get your sandwich, drink, bag of chips & fresh baked chocolate-chip cookie. Nice little spot with a few tables. Place was busy the whole time I was there. The pastrami sandwich with swiss on wheat bread was tasty. Girls who worked the counter are friendly. Big selection of sandwiches to choose from. Can’t wait to try out the rest of the Mr. Pickles sandwiches. Oh and if you have any leftovers you wanna take home. Dont ask for a box. The girls will wrap it for you to take home. Just tell them you need it wrapped up. Will come by again to try other variety of sandwiches.

MMMMMMM I had the BIGJAKE on wheat bread with Turkey, Avocado, Cream Cheese. To drink they had Hubert’s Peach Tea. SO yummy! The best part you get a chocolate chip cookie with it. The staff was very helpful since it was me and my Bestie’s first time. It was totally worth the $ 7 the bread was warm and fresh and the produce they used was fresh as well. I will definitely be back!

I came to Mr. Pickles for lunch. Instead of going for an unhealthy pastrami, I decided to go with the healthier tuna tuna(#15) on sourdough. The server asked me if I wanted everything on it. I asked what that meant. She pointed to the sign behind her, and I asked for some things to be left out. I paid for my meal as she was finishing off my sandwich. It was made to order, nothing that I didn’t ask for was in there. The sourdough bread was really good. I would have preferred San Francisco sourdough, but that’s hard to get in the Valley. My sandwich was packed with tuna. As I was eating it, it started to devolve into an ooey gooey mess. But it tasted wonderful! As others have said, prices are little on the high side. But today it was worth it.

LOVELOVELOVEIT!!! always busy. and the staff is always friendly. My favorite sandwich is the hang loose!!! LOVEIT better then subway. My 3 year old LOVES the sandwich in the kids meal, every time he takes a bite he always goes«mmmmm yum» EVERY time, that’s the only meal he does that for. and the sandwich is a decent size in the kids meal, easily serving two small children. AND the cookies! YESSS please. love them, love the square chocolates in them.

(Warning: This is the effect of living in a small town and working in an even smaller one. Things get blow out of proportion due to utter lack of anything better to do with free time.) Although I have only eaten here once, it used to add the mystery that my summer thrived on. Years ago, when I was working in Ceres, I would drive by the corner of Hawkeye and Geer and there he was, the dancing pickle man. I saw him, every single day, legitimately dancing. Great musculature. Always moving. Who was this staff member? I thought that, even though I only knew what his arms and legs looked like, I would know him when I saw him. Well, I never saw him. He disappeared at some point and the best part of that daily drive faded with the seasons. Mr. Pickles stuck in my mind though, always shaming his sub-par replacements(who could live up to that?). As a result, quite a while later, I ate a sandwich there. The staff were very fun and the sandwich was a solid«meh.» The mystery of that summer will always linger in the air around that corner, far more memorable than the sandwich I had bought to investigate. In his memory, whoever he was, they have earned a solid 4. It would have been a 5, but I ate the sandwich so that was a major mark against them in my book.
