In-N-Out Burger

Always a good idea :) But ALWAYS BUSY! I like the double double protein style (wrapped in lettuce, no bun). My fries well done so they come extra crispy! Vanilla shake on the side !!

I love In-​N-​Out, but honestly none of them seem to know how to cook a burger well done. I do not prefer to see pink when biting into a fast food burger. In-​N-​Out is great though, and I’m sure if I were in the building they would be more than happy to redo my order.

Place was really busy at noon. Ordered and everyone was very polite and accommodating. Waited 15 minutes for our order but the food is amazing every time. You can’t go wrong with In and Out for lunch.

Like a beloved Queen being paraded through the Tustin In-​n-​Out drive-​thru, palm trees greet her with cheers and applause. They are ecstatic for her visits are seldom, but they embrace her presence with an exuberant warm welcome.
At her kind request, delighted hosts willingly prepare her feast of cheeseburger lavished in melted cheese, special sauce, lacy lettuce, and white gold rings of onions. Carefully enveloped in royal parchment, and placed within a sacred bronze box aside edible golden strings.
A cup-​bearer presents her with sparkling 7-​up, as a tradition to toast amongst the company during festivities. Then follows the box of treasured delicacy. Exchanges of admiration and gratitude conclude the presentation ceremony. And the regal fare begins.

The cost to flavor ratio of these burgers can not be beat. Yes sometimes you have to wait for your fresh food cooked properly after you order it when everyone is packing the place in but that is inevitable. The employees are always great. The burger is the best drive thru burger for under $ 4 I have ever had. The shakes are good and the fries make most people happy if not all. Fresh fries cooked healthy are missing some of the flavor that unhealthy fries possess. But the never frozen burger is lacking nothing. If you want to sit down with a shake while eating and then fill your cup with soda to take to go they never discourage you.
Good food takes time to cook. Stop docking the star.

Finally tried what the hype was about. Really!!! Even when we were living in the South Pacific, our Pastor compared, get this… the animal style fries and burger to the afterlife. Yep. He said you don’t know how good it can be unless you get the burger animal style. A burger is a burger but animal style elevates the experience. Well honestly, comparing food to the other side, had me intrigued and hungry and of course my son asked when we could check this place out. Fast forward a few more years and on Christmas Eve Day we found ourselves buying gift wrapping at Target and lo and behold, the heavens opened and we spied an In and Out Burger across the and down the street. Yep we walked with our bags and our Box O Wine across the street and thru the parking lot to In and Out Burger we go. There was NO place to sit inside. I did not look outside and wish I had because it was a decent day to sit outside, but I had already called our driver to come get us and we were on our way back to the hotel ready to make carpet picnic of a bunch of different burgers and fries. No Shake this time, just forgot really.
So back to the ordering, I stood there like an idiot not seeing the animal style on the menu. The young nice girl saw how In and Out Burger ignorant I was and was really very helpful. I was very impressed. It was her Christmas Eve too, there was a line ordering and waiting and she was being so nice to a MOM ordering her first few burgers and fries. So off we go with double double animal style and a burger with grilled onions. 2 fries, 1 animal style and 1 Sweet tea. The total came to like 10 dollars and change. Is that crazy!!! The wait was not too long about 5 — 7 minutes which gave us a time to people watch. You can get the animal style sauce and yellow peppers in a container to go. The drink station was clean. When your food is ready they call your number. The gentleman was very nice to help me make sure everything was there. Again, it was HIS Christmas Eve too, and he was as nice as could be. Very impressed at this In and Out Burger. The burgers were good, with or without the animal style. I would stay without and get the peppers and grilled onions. Fries were great, but really FRIES. Unless they are cold or soggy, how do you go wrong. Great fast food experience and good food cheap.

So abcdeffff-​ing good. Value, taste, originality, nostalgia… this burger offers it all. And it’s great for the New Years resolution diet, although I may just be unreasonably optimistic in that department.

So usually when I come here it’s fast, even if there’s a line, it’s quick.
Don’t know what happened today! I came at about 11:20, and man, I’m still in line and it’s almost noon. I’m struck in drive through have no choice now! Crazy. I don’t think they were prepared this morning or maybe short on staff. Awful wait, if I could’ve gotten out of line I would’ve.
Other than that, everyone is usually nice and courteous.

The drive thru line might look long but it moves pretty fast! It gets really packed here but the service is efficient and restaurant clean.
Love my fries well done and mustard grilled with chiles + onion. Root beer floats!!! Moved to California from NY and I’m so excited I can have this whenever I want now. Yummmmy.

I haven’t been to an In-​N-​Out burger in years! So I decided to go back and I was very surprised. These burgers and establishment are a class act. They have a great burger and offer a great value.
I think I am finally sold on this place. I will be coming back for seconds.

Every in n out has great customer service! I love how energetic they are and if you ask for extra sauces, pepperchinis, (etc), they give it you without hesitation unlike other fast food chains. I really wish in n out would expand all over the country.
I always usually get a double double with sliced onion. Soooo delicious!
It’s great for a late night bite, and I’m always usually in a mood for in n out!
Their shakes are good, however I feel like it’s more like slightly melted ice cream rather than a real actual shake. That’s the only downside.
I love this place because even though their menu is so incredibly tiny, you never get sick of the same thing you’re getting!
It sounds bad but I’m not a fan of their fries either. I know it’s «healthier» but I prefer the crispy McDonalds fries over in n out. I find in n out fries to be quite bland.

In-​N-​Out, that’s what a hamburger’s all about!
Hopefully in the future, I’ll see an In-​N-​Out on the East Coast. In the meantime though, I have no problem going to Cali to get my In-​N-​Out fix. Out of all the fast food burger chains, In-​N-​Out is without a doubt my favorite. They’ve been around since the late 40s and developed a cult following.
100% beef chuck ground in their grinding facilities. Delivered fresh every single day. It’s never frozen, and that makes a huge difference compared to other chains. The bun-​to-​meat-​to-​condiment ratio is perfect, with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, hot pickled chilies, and a Thousand Island-​esque spread. Love their toasted soft rolls that hold and absorb the sauce without falling apart like some burgers (AHEM, Five Guys). The cheese is gooey, toppings are fresh, and they’ve got their own special awesome sauce. And two more words: Animal Style.
For quality, freshness, consistency, customer service, and value, In-​N-​Out wins hands down. You’re going to get the best customer service at In-​N-​Out versus other fast food burger chains. They treat their staff really well too; it’s very employee-​centered and that’s a rarity these days in fast food chains.
If Anthony Bourdain, Thomas Keller, Gordon Ramsay, Julia Child, and Mario Batali are all fans of In-​N-​Out, that says something. In-​N-​Out is definitely what a hamburger should be all about.

Call me crazy, but am I the only person on earth that doesn’t «get it» when it comes to In-​N-​Out??? I must be. So I needed to reconfirm it to myself that I was weird, so the minute I see one in The District, I made sure to try it again (had it only one other time in LA). I went into this place WANTING to like it. I WANT to fit in. I wanted the full effect of a sit down, fresh experience. This time I went for the «animal style».
Ugh! I don’t understand what is so special. Yes it is OK to good, but to call it the best burger? I would argue with anyone anytime. The meat is so bland, it tastes dry like a McDonalds. I won’t compare this to a Five Guys because that is really insulting to Five Guys.

Score for speed: 2.5
Seriously. There’s hardly a full lobby but the drive they line has cost us all of 25 minutes.
Were INO fans for life; just NOT this location.

In N Out is In N Out can not get any better! this location is really close to my apt so i am here alot, always get a double double with cheese and a the fries!
in n out is my go to meal if im not sure what i am in the mood for

This location is located in the District (might I add, the worst constructed plaza ever!!). The good thing is this location is quick during the lunch hour and parking typically is parked. Expect to spend about 10 – 15 minutes (or actually more) in the drive thru lane around noon (at least they have an expediter). FYI, the drivethru lane is next to the farmer merchant bank. I’ve seen some people get confused with the chic fil-​a drive thru.
The quality and presentation isn’t as good as other in and outs tho. They are too generous on the spread sometimes. End up throwing away the bun because it’s drenched in spread.

It is In-​N-​Out, there is no reason to give a long review about this place.
The layout is like the West Torrance one with covered outdoor seating.

In-​n-​Out Burgers are the best!
I order my burger «protein style» with no salt. (basically a lettuce wrap).
Back in my younger days, I would order a Double Double Animal Style (two meat patties and two slices of cheese… with extra sauce).
The fries are fresh cut too!
I have only been to this location a few times; each time was a good experience. The employees are fast, friendly, and make sure that the wait line doesn’t get to long.

I have only been to two In-​N-​Out Burger joints in my life. The other one was in SF on the Wharf and was not as nice, although the food was good. This store also in CA is in the city of Tustin’s may drag, just outside of Irvine where I was assisting a swim meet.
The parking lot was so full the first time I left. but I managed to locate a spot on other times. Excellent lighting and the surrounding area was clean. The exterior of the business was in great shape and trash cans debris was kept within it’s boundaries.
I really like the proximity of the restaurant to my hotel and ate here a few times. I guess everyone else liked the location too… it was packed. The whole place was overrun with swimmers from US Nationals in Irvine, which was actually pretty cool. So if you know names like Tyler Clary, Micah Lawarence and Jessica Hardy you would have been in impressed that these elite athletes also choose In-​N-​Out Burger too.
For as nuts as it was the staff kept it pretty orderly and the line to order. It was intimidating to see a line wrapped around the dining room, but I definitely wanted a burger from here. Dining room was not perfect, but there was staff around trying to clean. Ketchup ran out on first visit and was refilled within minutes.
Service was outstanding at the counter both times by the young staff that were working hard! Completely smooth transaction and cheeseburger w/​fries ordered on first trip, and a cheeseburger animal style order the second time… thank you Robert F. for the tip. Both meals were delicious and I only wish there was a location near my home.
A star deduction for my second visit and really slow service and a shake not coming up until around 20 min after my food order. It caused the eat in time to be over an hour. I’m trying not to be too harsh since it was insane and according to staff the shake machine went down.
