Winter is no bueno for this island baby. For the past week, my hands literally have felt like the skin would just slide off and crumble in tiny ash pieces all over the floor. I had purchased a hand cream that Oprah listed as one of her favorite things but it did nothing for me no matter how many times I reapplied. It was time to pull in the big guns. I stopped by the Space NK Apothecary pop up inside Bloomingdale’s to see if they carried the Molton Brown skin line. They did not but the sales person Julia was quick to offer her personal recommendations. I tried an Eve Lom hand cream and was instantly hooked by it’s non greasy and light texture. It sinked immediately into my skin and seven hours later, I have the hands of a newborn infant. No re-application necessary. Oprah may have steered me wrong but Space NK did not! Julia went above and beyond the call of duty by telling me the history of the company, gifting me with with free samples, and letting me know about the complimentary mini facials they were giving in a few weeks. Before I knew it, I had blown almost $ 100 on hand cream and candles! Now THATS a sales person. I definitely recommend Space NK for those looking for a carefully curated line of cosmetics and skin care items and individualized attention.
