Sooooooooooo slow… also couldn’t get order right. Ordered Jasmine green tea and got matcha milk tea… overall food was mediocre, not very good. Won’t be back.

ALERT! The overall 4 star rating and positive reviews you see for this restaurant refers to the Jenjon that was run by its previous owners! I’ve eaten at Jenjon’s for a few years and neglected to post a review but if I had, it would have been at least 3 stars(3.5 if the system allowed). However, after a long hiatus, I recently stopped by for lunch and was shocked at how different the experience was. Their once popular salmon pineapple fried rice tasted so bland that I knew something was up. Then something funny happened right in front of me… this kid orders a regular hamburger… and all he got was the bun, lettuce and tomato! No meat patty! He comes in and tells the guy behind the counter, who simply replied«yeah that’s how it comes». The kid walks away with a confused look but I felt I had to step in and help, so I said«No that’s not how it comes. A hamburger comes with the meat patty.» The employee looked really clueless and said that was how his boss instructed him and the cook on duty. So I asked if it was a new owner and if I could speak to him/her. He confirmed that it was indeed a new owner and that he was not around. I continued to speak in defense of the kid, and the employee relented and added a meat patty to his order. To clarify, the employee was nice, but clueless. And based on this experience, my impression is that the new owner is clueless as well, on top of being stingy and lacking in management skill(most new owners would be more hands on to ensure the smooth running of the store until it stabilizes). I’m bummed that Jenjon changed owners and is now a terrible joint. To be fair, I’ll update the review if they can somehow turn this around.

I went there today and ordered two sandwiches and one PLAIN cheeseburger to go. I was very specific that I only want bread, beef patty and cheese and NOTHING else. It is for my son and he would not have it any other way. Well, when we got home, it had lettuce, tomato, avocado and all the other fixings. I tried to remove them but the onions are stuck to the cheese. In addition, the mayo is soaked into the bread. Needless to say, I just took the patty and put it in a new bread so he can eat something. Very disappointed. I was very explicit that I repeated myself twice that I wanted it plain. The lady taking the order said, yes, I understand and seemed annoyed that I had to say it twice.

We will never come here again! We’ve had better phở and bahn mi elsewhere. Just like another Unilocaler mentioned they use MSG!!!

Ordered the grilled pork over vermicelli with egg rolls and a mango smoothie with boba. Both are the best I’ve ever had! Service was average but the cashier was very nice. Not really a dine in type of place hence the name café, but it is a quaint place for one or two, would much rather order to go! The menu is so versatile, from phở to burgers and fries! Although, vermicelli is my absolute favorite I will come back one day to try their phở. I always come here now just for the mango smoothie with boba! I definitely suggest anyone to try what I ordered!

Service was awful. Lady was friendly but messed up my order. Food was pretty good. Price was reasonable.

I didn’t know what to expect walking into this restaurant. It’s small, hidden in the back of a plaza, and was pretty empty the entire time I was there. I’ve tried the BBQ pork banh mi, mushroom burger, with a side of phở broth. I was pleasantly surprised by the banh mi. It’s one of the better ones I’ve had in this area. The bread is soft, yet is crunchy on the outside. The BBQ pork is flavorful and juicy. However, I wish there was a little bit more veggies in the sandwich. But overall, it’s a decent size for the price($ 4) The hamburger was nothing special. The patty was fairly bland, so I probably won’t be ordering this again. The side of phở broth was rich in flavor and had mushroom and onions, amongst many other veggies. When I come back, I’ll probably just stick with the banh mi.

I have been looking into coming here and I’m glad I did. There is another nearby phở place across the street and I think I will be switching to go here from now on due to pricing. I have not tried their phở yet, but I did try the pineapple fried rice combo and it was really tasty. I also tried the shrimp noodle and was tasty as well. I do like the fact that they are sandwiches and it’s much cheaper then the ones that I normally go to. The lady working here is really nice and super nice to my 3 year old kid. I will definitely be coming back to try other menu. They do accept Visa, Master and Discovery cards that I remember.

I’ve had better. The grilled chicken banh mi I ordered today tasted like it was reheated meat and the roll was very squishy and not crispy like I prefer my banh mi bread to be. The vegetables were good, but I had to add my own sriracha. The spring rolls were really good and big with yummy peanut dipping sauce. My coworker ordered the pineapple rice and gave it a thumbs up. Maybe I’ll stick to different menu items if I try then again.

I’ve been coming here for 6 yrs. and have gone to other vietnamese sandwich shops, but this is my favorite out of all of them. Their bread is crispy but not hard on the outside, very soft on the inside, and it has a nice flavor to it. I love the fact that they add avocado to the sandwich and the amount of the meat and vegetables are perfect. I usually order the lemongrass chicken because it’s SO good. Customer service is ok. I miss Jen the original owner. She knew my name after the first visit and was really sweet. I would always give her a tip, but she would never accept it from me because she knew I was a broke college student. Lol. The sweetness of the place disappeared when she left.

The chicken bahn mi was not great. There was tons on mayo and the meat was mostly fat. Not enough veggies either. However, I liked the spring rolls. Cute, small place. Milk tea was also yummy.

Funny enough, I decided to give this place a chance to redeem themselves. I think that decision might have been one of the biggest mistake I have ever made. I ordered a grill beef sandwich for togo yesterday and well, brace yourselves because I found a cockroach in my sandwich. I’m not going to post a picture because i literally threw up on my sandwich the moment I saw that thing sticking out. I was already 1⁄3 of the way through the damn thing. They passed the health inspection? Really? How??? NEGATIVE100.

Went there to grab takeout tonight. On my second bite of the lemongrass chicken, I bit down in something hard, which ended up being a shard of broken plastic. We threw everything out. Tried to call and complain, but no one answers the phone and there was no chance I’d make it back before they closed. I’m pretty pissed about the waste of money and contaminated food, so I’ll never be going here again. They obviously need better quality control and to answer their phone during open hours.

True story: When God made phở, he was hungover. Came here hungover after polishing off a bottle of Hennessy with my friends the night before. Got the combination phở. It was a bare bones no frills bowl of phở with some beef balls some brisket and a few pieces of rare steak. Everything was grey and white so it didn’t look that appealing when it got to my table. However the beef broth was pretty tasty and overall a good bowl of phở.

Listen. I’m a hole-in-the-wall fanatic. And as such, I compromise, 1. Service, 2. Comfort, for 3. Food. This place has none of these. I am Vietnamese. My friend is Vietnamese. Paid using my credit card with my Vietnamese name. Yet this went unnoticed by them as they proceeded to talk smack in Vietnamese about my friend and me, thinking they were safe. And really unusual smack like«they must be constipated… look at them… who do they think they are?» We sat silently eating to listen as to how far they would go. Very entertaining when we already know we will be speaking Vietnamese to them on departing to see them speechless with idiot faces… When you hear their Vietnamese, trust me, they are talking smack about you and your party. Cramped eating space is suffocating. Salmon and pineapple fried rice. Salty, fatty, greasy, zero pineapple taste. Keep it up Jenjon, and you will be fed a delicious plate of Karma.

Will have to try the food next time. Ordered the Vietnamese coffee and taro milk tea without pearls. Coffee was iced, strong and effective. The taro milk tea tasted like fruity pebbles and wasn’t a real purple flavor but more kinda brownish mauve color. Little hidden spot that serves your typical Vietnamese food; phở, bahn mi, coffee/teas, smoothies, rolls, and vegetarian options. Food prices range from $ 3 – 7 bucks.

I bookmarked this place somewhere around a year ago and have always pointed and squealed at the little sign every time I passed by. I finally visited last month and have been putting this review off due to boredom. Service — attentive but bland with lack of direction. Seemed all over the place 2 out 5 Banh mi– grilled pork. Not enough fish pâté compared to what my banh mi eating life has taught me. Bread was flakey on the outer most later and then totally forgettable everywhere else. I can’t even remember the rest of the sand which. Lack of any yum factor for me that day. 1 out of 5 stars Cheese burger — pretty good actually. Over priced and then you have to buy over priced fries because it doesn’t come together. 4 out of 5 for good mouth feels there. Curly fries — frozen from a bag. I ain’t complaining! I love all types of frozen goods. Every single one of our fries were over cooked. Like a one way ticket to super crunch town. Threw it out so 0 out of 5. Lychee slush with boba– sweet and artificial. I liked the flavor. It just ended up flat. I’ll be back again at some point as many times you are at the mercy of the employee at the moment. I want some good from here. This restaurant is too cute to be this bad.

This place is tucked in the corner of the Safeway/Dollar Tree/Rite Aid shopping center. It is across from Break Your Fast. Not the best sandwiches I’ve had but they are pretty decent. My favorite here has to be the salmon over pineapple fried rice. Very tiny café there’s not much space to sit down inside. Maybe about 5 small 2 tables inside?
