Great service, clean place. I thought it was a smidge overpriced for what you get. I didn’t care for the sauce on the burger. The shake, however, was amazing. Thanks!

Passing through and stopped here for dinner with the fam. We haven’t had burgers like these in a very long time! Big juicy flavorful burgers. Must try this place if you’re in town.

I love coming to this place for milkshakes. I even love coming for the peppermint milkshakes they are sooo tasty. I had one this weekend and let me tell you ALL the memories of going there came back. Its never hit or miss and the best hole in the wall spot in union gap. I always get it for the road, this time i waited to eat it after my food and it was still GREAT. thanks for adding a great little spin to my weekend. YUMMMY. if your passing through check it out… RIGHT off the freeway too…

Their burgers are alway the same, very delicious! They also get 4 stars for presentation. The guy who made my burger last night did a nice job at making my order look pretty! The place is clean and you never cringe entering the restroom. Very friendly staff too! What more can you ask for…

Quintessential American drive in: huge burgers cooked to order, shakes so thick you need a spoon. What’s not to love? Can’t believe we didn’t know about this place the first two times we visited Yakima. We’ll be back for sure.

If you’re looking for a place for your friends and family to have some tasty old fashion burgers with classic décor give pepp’rmint stick a try. What many old fashion nostalgia type of restaurants lack nowadays is variety. Pepp’rmint stick features a wide variety of burgers some that are a nod to 50’s style of ingredients and presentation while other burgers are out of the norm with pretzel buns, Jamaican relish, ghost chili sauce, and pork belly filled patties which are only a few of the options that this fine restaurant has to offer. The service has been great each time I have gone. Condiments are placed on top of your fries, drinks served quickly, and free refills. Also prices here are fair. A deluxe burger with fries and drink is only about $ 7 while ½ pound burger meals can be $ 12+ which is a great deal considering size and quality. If you ever roll through union gap or have never visited pepp’rmint stick I highly recommend it and will be going regularly from now on

One of my favorite places to eat in Yakima/Union Gap. I know everyone knows and is big on Miner’s when they come to town but Pepp’rmint Stick is a local secret in my opinion. Their burgers are great(and huge! so worth the price). I always get the Jr. burger and really like the secret sauce they have on it. However, my favorite things are the milkshakes(I always get peanut butter which isn’t always the easiest to find in Seattle). They’re very thick, tasty and definitely quality. My other favorite thing is their fries! They’re beer battered so they have that extra flavor and crispiness, combined with their original fry sauce … perfect! Definitely try this place out if you’re coming through town. It’s a local treat, authentic and the 50s vibe can’t be beat!

Second time I have been there. Ok service. I had a ordered burger and fries. I thought they were kind of skimpy on the fries and they did not give me the fry sauce I ordered. If I can make a suggestion… It would be be nice if you had some condiments on the counters for your customers. My boyfriend had to go back in line to ask for the fry sauce . The burger was actually pretty good with lots of onions but the skimpy fries were a little under done.

My grandmother lives in Union Gap and we always pass by this place. After 30 years, we finally stopped and had some lunch. It was very tasty and the service was real friendly. The only downside was the frozen patties.

Great burgers(cooked to order). Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Husband and I stopped here on our way back to Seattle after spending 3 days in wine country. We will definitely be back.

Wow — been meaning to try this place for a while and it was awesome. you will wait for your burger to be cooked — so be patient. Its worth it. The fries were cooked perfectly, crisp, not greasy — The place is small but clean. Well worth the trip.

Have been coming to the Peppermint Stick since I was a little kid, and it never gets old!!! Great burgers and awesome ice cream. Yeah, the atmosphere is a little drab, so just get your order to go.

I was really not impressed. The milkshakes are pretty good. The service was decent, and quick. I ordered a burger, it had lots of fresh toppings, and was pretty good aside from the fact that the patty was clearly pre-frozen, and overcooked, tasted rubbery to me. I ordered their new sweet potato fries, and they were not cooked right at all; many were burnt, and some were underdone. I spent $ 15 on a mediocre meal, I won’t be going out of my way to go there again, it was really not worth it.

A great place to go. They have gigantic shakes and large amounts of food. Last time I went, however, they only had two people working. And, even though there wasn’t anybody else In the store but my family, it took too long to get our food. I still love it though.

Delicious — Burgers were juicy and fries were crispy! They even have fry sauce. We had a chocolate malt and a peppermint shake, both very thick and creamy. Had to wait about 15 minutes for food, but it’s cooked to order and well worth the wait. You’re able to call ahead to place your order. Friendly service. Next time we pass thru Yakima we will definitely stop here again!

This is a straight up dive/drive-in slash I don’t know what. I am not going to lie it’s not too pricey and it’s a greasy spoon but sometimes you see the people back there cooking and you wonder if they are smoking meth on breaks. But as long as they are not putting it in your food then we should all be cool. The milk shakes are hand made and SUPER thick plus very good. You feel like you just drank a 5,000 calorie shake when your down, but its worth it.

Pepp’rmint stick is an old-school soda-fountain type place. Not quite as good as I remember from 30 years ago, but still a good solid burger, fries, and malt. They have a pretty diverse menu, almost sure to please everyone in the family. The service was great and I will certainly return next time I am in the area. I believe what made them so special to me 30 years ago was the ketchup of all things. It had a unique flavor to it. Now it seems to be the standard fare ketchup.
