Been twice, both times getting the Philly Cheese Steak. The first time was better than the second, which seems strange for the exact same thing being ordered. We noticed the first time that the guy making our sandwich cooked the steak from a raw form and it took about 9 mins before it was set before us. We were impressed by that. The sub was so loooooong, so we were glad to have shared it. Unless you enter hot dog eating contests or binge/vomit, do not get a whole one for yourself. It will become crow food. Second time we grabbed a PCS it was on our table in 4 minutes… how did they do that? Well, the steak this time tasted as though it were precooked and reheated. I didn’t enjoy that at all. If meats cooked fresh, I can taste that. We let them know afterward and were assured it was indeed grilled fresh from a raw state. But I can’t help thinking I know what reheated meat tastes like, being a picky cook myself and hating when I have to reheat a hamburger for a late family member, etc. I’d have felt better if they would have said something like«yeah, for a lunch rush hour, we grill the steak in advance»…because I just can’t reconcile how they got me that sandwich as quick when there were a few people waiting for their sandwiches when I placed the order. Next time I go, I’ll be sure to watch that they begin with raw steak.

Heeeeeyyyyy Miikkkiiiiieeeeee!!! Soooo. This is a hard one to crack. On one hand, the subs are overall pretty good. I get the steak and cheese giant size with everything. For a sub the size of my thigh, pretty good price. Downside is there is something weird with the cheese. Just don’t taste right. Becomes waxy at the end and totally throws off my taste buds and ruins my food coma. Not sure, BUT I keep going back thinking its me. Tried a different sandwich with same cheese and got the same result. Portion size was fine, taste was good, just the cheese issue again! Awesome location in the plaza, quick service too. Good place to go if you want to destroy a sandwich and not move for an hour.

Once I stopped getting toasted subs from these guys, I truly started to enjoy their sandwiches. Something about their bread just does NOT hold up well to being toasted in the oven. It get’s softened and chewy, not a good combination. Their cold subs on the other hand are top notch. Excellently baked breads, and the produce and meats they use are top quality. I’m particularly a sucker for the italian. The costs can add up quick, and I can’t really fathom how I end up spending over $ 15 for a sandwhich drink and chips sometimes, but that won’t stop me from emptying my wallet and filling my tummy here.

This is probably the best sandwich place I have been to in UP. Employee’s are great and fast. The restaurant is really clean and the food quality is excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great sandwich. As far as people saying it is overpriced, I typically pay under $ 30 for a family of 3. That does not seem overpriced in my opinion.

Because I am always in search of a good sub sandwich, I decided to give Jersey Mike’s Sub in University Place a try for the 1st time. I will start off by saying the staff behind the counter was very nice, I decided to try the cold sub, the original Italian sandwich, I purchased the giant(which was 14″) because I figured I could eat half and have the other half for lunch the next day, well I watched them make the sandwich and she put 3VERY thin slivers of each of the meat on the bread(the slivers of meat were about as thick as the side of a quarter), then she put on lots of shredded lettuce and a few tomato slices, the sandwich was then cut into 4 pieces, then the sandwich was passed on to a guy behind the counter and he asked me if I wanted«the juice» on it(or something like that), he explained what it was and I said OK, OMG, he squirted alot of «juice» on it. In the 10 minutes it took me to drive home, the sandwich was a soggy, disgusting mess. And what made it so bad on top of that was that this sandwich was waaaaay overpriced for the amount of meat they put on it. In their stock photo they show the guy making the sandwich with the meat piled up, but this is deceiving because in actuality they just put on 3 paper thin slivers of meat, so the sandwich was $ 14 and some change worth of bread and lettuce. Because I was a 1st time customer I was told I could select a free cookie, I tried the sugar cookie and it was terrible, it was undercooked where the edges were done and the center and the majority of the cookie was still wet and doughy and sickening sweet. I took a bite and tossed it. I was REALLY disappointed in the quality of their sandwich and I thought«Wow, as much as that sandwich cost, if you bought 2 of them for you and someone else, you would e paying almost $ 30 for 2 sandwich». Which would be ridiculous since you can buy groceries for that much and make you own. I would NOT recommend Jersey Mike’s to anybody. If you want a good deli sub for a reasonable price, try MSM Deli on 6th Ave.

Okay, I came here once and never went back. It could of been the sandwich I ordered but I wasn’t happy with the amount of food I got for the price. Now I understand if something tastes spectacular, it will justify for higher prices. Meaning better quality ingredients, etc. etc. However, I got a chicken sandwich here and paid almost $ 9 for like a 6″ inch sub. I was like«wtf»? Just a regular sandwich with nothing special about it? The reviewers on here that quoted«overpriced» is point on with their thoughts. I am pretty sure you can find a better place for the amount of money spent here.

If you want a sub… this is the place. Jimmy Johns and Subway are mediocre compared to Jersey Mikes. I love love this place. I wish it was in a better location because parking is tough with the construction. Overall, my favorite sub place in this area!

Man, I love getting sandwiches from this place. However, the prompting for tips indicate your sandwich artists are only getting compensated for minimum wage. Every time I have visited the University Place establishment, I’ve been pleased with the product and customer service. Please consider paying them more.

It’s good, but I always felt like jersey mikes is overpriced for their sandwiches. When whole foods sandwiches cost less than yours, there is a problem with prices. Either way, we enjoyed having our lunch here. Place is clean, no fuss. Their meats are slices freshly, we ordered the famous roast beef and provolone(make sure to get the oil! It needs it) and the famous Italian. Lots of meat and cheese, next time I’m getting the famous Italian as well. Parking is free, convenient location in university place. Sign up for their reward system!

This was my first time visiting this location. I have been to the Bonney Lake location a few times and have always felt the staff is friendly. This location was no different, the staff was all smiles and had super customer service skills. I got the club supreme sandwich and it was fresh and delicious. I love how they don’t skimp on the oil and vinegar and the ingredients are consistently fresh. The only gripe I have is it is a little pricey and I don’t like the tip option on the debit machine(some people don’t know it’s an option). I think a tip jar would make people a little more comfortable and would be more appropriate. That being said it’s still a great sandwich and I will be back!

Just go to whole foods next door, you can get basically all you can eat for $ 8. The service was very rude at jersey subs. It was my first time and will not be back. I think it was around $ 10 for half a sub!

I go here sometimes as its convenient due to the fact it’s right in my building. The sandwiches are just okay, better than subway in my opinion but they are definitely more expensive. You’re gonna pay about $ 12 for a regular sized sandwich with a drink and chips. If this place was farther away, I don’t think I’d probably come here.

I went there early this year(2015). Thought it was on the par with Jimmy Johns or Quiznos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The subs, however, were not pleasant at all. I wonder how this chain survives. The quality of the product better go up or this place is history.

Nope. Sandwiches were soggy, bland and just not good. Even with the coupon the place just isn’t worth it. I was really excited about a real sandwich shop coming to town but this place is not it. Don’t waste your money, sandwiches are not good and the place is pricey for what it is.

Solid sandwiches executed promptly by friendly staff in a tidy establishment – what’s not to like? They haven’t re-invented the wheel, but it’s one of the few chain sandwich establishments that can properly execute a Philly cheesesteak to it’s proper gooey deliciousness. You can call in orders in advance and they run specials during Seahawk games, which makes me an even bigger fan of this place!

Used my coupon for a free sub that I got in the mail for living nearby. First time visitor to any Jersey Mike’s. I ordered a grilled veggie wrap,(tomato tortilla, grilled onions, bell peppers, provolone, swiss, lettuce, tomato, ranch sauce) The wrap was pleasantly filled, cut in half and wrapped in foil. I got it to go. By the time I got home and ate it, it was a bit soggy but that was kind of the fun part about the whole thing. Messy things just taste a bit better in my opinion. It was decent in flavor, though I think I could have done without the ranch sauce. They were busy when I arrived for lunch around 11:30. The staff was super, super, super nice and watching them wrap the sandwiches was entertaining. It seemed very precise and crisp. I doubt I’d be back as I typically don’t eat this kind of food, but it was good to try for sure and I think it definitely beats Subway and I do like that they have a hot sandwich option and an actual grill, not a microwave to cook the meat.

The slogan says«Everybody likes Jersey Mike’s» I don’t know about everybody but I do! There was one right across the street from where we lived in NC and since we got here I had not seen one until now. I hate subway period end of discussion I REFUSE to eat Subway. What I like about Jersey Mike’s is simple… they actually slice the meat and cheese fresh onto your sandwich as you order it. Thats it PERIOD. I love that its that fresh. Is it more expensive than Subway? a little bit, but when you consider quality vs quantity then clearly Jersey Mike’s wins for me. I typically eat a regular Number six with lettuce, tomato, mayo oregano. Thats the standing order, but I do add onions and peppers on occasion. This is not a place that has 100 toppings but they offer the basics and thats good enough for me. Quality meats do not need to be smothered in toppings in my opinion. You do have the option to order extra meat for a charge or extra cheese for a charge. I have also been known to get a giant and eat it for dinner/lunch/breakfast the next day …(remember its like a HUGE sub 16 inches I think) I have also had the Pastrami, also good but I do not typically get a hot sandwich unless I plan on eating there. The persons working in here were nice and pleasant, and it was very clean in there. I have added a photo of the regular number 6…

Very disappointed. I live about a block away and I was pretty excited when they opened up. I went within the first week and got a hot sub– cheese steak. It was horrible– flavorless and just meat and cheese that made the bread soggy. I chalked it up as my mistake because I didn’t know to order extra stuff on it. I went again today and got a cold sub–«Mike’s Way.» It was not very tasty– over vinegared and under salted and for $ 8.30 for a regular I am not impressed. The real kicker for me was when they sent out coupons upon their opening. It had about 4 or 6 coupons on it and I noticed that the expiration date was 4⁄20. I had it all planned out to get my free sub before the coupon expired… only it expired before the other coupons so I missed it. I felt cheated but I tried to let them redeem themselves. I won’t be back.

I find myself wondering why I had to goto mikes today. it was not anywhere near anything I was doing today but found my self driving to up just for this sandwich. I must admit this is much better then subway but thats not difficult to do. I believe this to be 3 stars. the sandwiches are pretty good but I’m a much bigger fan of jimmy johns when it comes to chains. by the way what happened to Quiznos, all of a sudden there all gone, but I digress. I admit I’d prefer going to mom and pop shops for subs but there quick friendly and they don’t charge extra for the little thing like peppers. I do have a favorite sub franchise but there not in Washington but if you travel to the south they have a sandwich called a muffalettas. if your interested in the chain it’s called schlotzski deli. that the best sandwich chain I’ve ever been to. it’s sandwiches are round and like a circle no corners to ever stop you goes forever. my list starts at 1 schlotzski deli 2 jimmy Jon’s 3 Quiznos 4 subway
I will let you know if your on a budget don’t come here if your a big eater it can cost you $ 13 for a sandwich it’s enough for 2 regular people but fir an xxl guy like me it’s ¾ of a meal but still love them mom and pops

This place just opened and it’s now one of my favorite places to get a sub. The people that work there are very personable and kind. Their regular subs are even more filling than subway and a million times better tasting as well with better prices even for how fresh their ingredients are. I ordered the original Italian and they cut the meat and cheeses right in front of you and put on the fresh toppings that you want. The bread is extremely flavorful and squishy. I will definitely be a regular at this place. Only complaint is the extremely limited parking nearby but that’s definitely not their problem.
