El Perico Ranchero

I LOVE THIS PLACE! They are, hands down, my favorite local Mexican Food joint. My favorite dish is usually the chile verde plate, but their taquitos are to die for too! Guac is made table side so you can make it exactly how you like it. And their Cadillac Margaritas as simply outstanding. I’m a bartender by profession, so I know a good one when I taste it and these bad boys pack a punch! Do yourself a favor and go to El Perico. You will not be disappointed!

We have been coming to El Perico for years. Their salsa is simply the best. Portions are more than generous. The burritos and soups are fantastic and good for two meals. The avocado and chicken salad is delicious and enough to feed two people. Often, I will just have just two tacos without beans or rice. Their carne asada and shredded beef tacos are simply the best I have enjoyed anywhere. Margaritas, especially the Cadillac, are like none other… enjoy!

I had the combination plate which had an enchilada, pork tamale, chile relleno, rice and beans. First almost everything had a very restaurant look and taste, nothing too authentic here, being Mexican I expected more. The tamale had almost no meat so it was pretty much a masa ball and the masa was pretty dry. The enchilada had very little cheese in it and was drowning in sauce, makes for good soggy tortillas. The chili relleno was ok but it wasn’t a stuffed pepper, it looks like they cut it into strips then covered it in egg. Everything was thrown on the plate pretty sloppy so almost every bite had a little bit of everything in it. Service was very slow, Also the table side made guac was very bland and the guy left giant chunks in it (I mean like half an avocado). I gave two stars because the salsa was pretty good and our waiter tried his best, I think they were short staffed.

Always like coming here for taco Tuesday, all tacos are $ 1. I have tried the carne Asada soft tacos and the beef hard shell tacos, all really good for $ 1. I do recommend it to anyone craving tacos on a Tuesday.

The margaritas are strong! Will knock your socks off and only $ 10. Food authentic and shrimp cocktails is really good. Great Mexican spot

Always come in once and awhile for breakfast, everything is usually good. A plus, onthe first Saturday of the month they have a $ 10 breakfast buffet and usually a local car club is here so it’s like a small car show as well! Today jus came in for a drink! Michelada., always good as well!

This place has amazing mexican food! in particular, their rice and salsa is Awesome! I love the atmosphere too. Reminds me of El Cholo Café in La Habra in some ways. Service is pretty good here, but varies depending on the server and who the party is.

3 stars for service the food was not so good. I got meatballs soup and it only had 3 meatballs with a whole lot of veggies didn’t give rice for the soup. It was terrible! My cousin got the shrimp cocktail and it was a nice size with only 6 shrimp in it. Not good I will not be returning here over priced and the food sucks!

My husband and I are regulars here, every taco Tuesday and at least once on the weekends for menudo. They have the best food and service. Arlene is our favorite, she knows our order before we sit down, and she never gets it wrong. We try to sit in her section when we can. Be sure to order the Cadillac margarita too! Yummy!

Great food, amazing/​welcoming service, love the atmosphere. Can’t beat $ 1 taco Tuesday and the flan is amazing

Excellent! Came here on a saturday with my boyfriend. We didn’t want to wait an hour at a large restaurant and were craving some authentic mexican food so we found this place on Unilocal and it didn’t disappoint.
We were seated right away and the service was great.
Portions were so large I saved mine to go and ate it the next day and it was so good!
Boyfriend was very satisfied with his Bloody Mary
