Menu is only in spanish but waiter explained each dish for me. Fried rice is a huge amount and plenty to share with 5 people. The Seco Norteno was crazy good and tender!

I walked in at 3pm and no one was in the restaurant but a lady in the kitchen. I stood around for a few minutes and then I asked the lady in the back if I could sit anywhere and she just shook her head and carried on with her business. Very disappointed as I really want to find a good Peruvian restaurant. Updated after owner’s response: Part of a customer’s experience is how they are welcomed. There was one woman in the back and she knew I was standing there. I asked if I could sit anywhere and motioned the tables(after I stood around a few minutes she finally looked up at me) and she just shook her head at me then turned back away. I wasn’t welcomed. It would’ve been nicer if the one person who knew I was there went to tell someone there was a customer. Maybe even smiled. I’m sorry but the one star stands. I’m sure your food is great and I hope others will be welcomed to try the food. But not being served at all is a valid reason for my score. I suggest you edit your response to let people know how they can best receive service at your restaurant. I never had this happen at any place I’ve been to so there’s got to be some protocol I’m missing.

We did a little tour of all of the Peruvian spots around Rancho and Upland and this one won hands down for our preferences. Service, quality, food was so made to order it was steaming hot which we love, great explanation of the dishes. We had seafood fried rice, seafood soup with a huge crab leg!, chicken and fries and the beef and fries. It was all awesome! And wine and beer!

First time trying Peruvian food. I really liked the flavor of the food i dont remember the name of the dish i had but i tried the pork tamale and it was delicious a very lemony flavor. Fast service, very kind, and clean but i did notice a flaw the wine glass were pretty stainy one of the reasons i didnt ask for wine other than that it was delish!

I highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone that likes Peruvian food! I have been looking for a good peruvian restaurant and this is the place. I personally LOVE the Lomo Saltado, it’s my favorite dish. Jeremy is a very attentive and friendly to his customers. If you are looking for good food, come here.

Food was good, kinda pricey to not come with that much meat. Boyfriend ordered a fried rice that had shrimp and other seafood. Came with a bunch of rice and six shrimp. For being that pricey you think you would receive what you pay for. Other than that it was good.

This place helped me visualize what Peru would be like. It’s a cute and small place. Only 5 tables inside meaning the maximum number of people are very little… Under 30? My friends and I ordered the lomo saltado y papas and they were delicious. Lomo saltado is similar to an Asian dish, with beef and French friends and rice. This is one of the must try places in upland :)

Fast and friendly service, and good food. I ordered my usual favorite, Lomo Saltado and it did not disappoint. Prices are reasonable and preparation is true to Peruvian tradition.

They gave my mom a complementary cheesecake on the house which i thought it was nice! Will definitely come back

Love this family run business, food is great and the server is very polite and cordial. I’ve had Lomo Saltado twice, to die for both times… I always order an Inca cola, it’s the best. Yeah it’s a small place but that’s what makes it so cool. Best Peruvian food in the foothill communities by far!

This review doesn’t necessarily reflect the quality of the food, but rather the quality of service. We ordered for pickup and they got our order totally wrong. We ordered two lomo Saltado(beef stir fry) and Jalea(mixed fried seafood). After picking up the order and getting home some 20 minutes later, we discovered what we actually received was one order of lomo Saltado(made wrong — requested no onion), a chicken stir fry, and seafood fried rice. Completely wrong. In addition, when I picked up the order they only wanted to give me 2 hot sauce for the 3 plates. When I requested extra sauce, they wanted to charge me $.99 each for a tiny condiment container. Keep in mind other Peruvian places like El Pollo Inka put a bottle of this stuff on your table when you eat there. All in all, they made a bad impression and we won’t be going back.

I’ve been tasting a bunch of peruvian places in the area, and I think the Lomo saltado here beats the ones that I have tried thus far, and the service was excellent. The restaurant is also very nicely kept and presentable.

This place is amazing. Huge portions and the prices are good. Going to a sit down place u should expect to pay about $ 10 per plate so I’m not sure why some people are complaining dinner for me and my boyfriend was less than $ 25.

The food was so delicious. If you love flavor, you will love Peruvian food. The place is small and there is not much space to sit, because I think people know that they have found a good thing and keep coming back. We met some Peruvians there who come for the authentic taste. The green sauce was much spicier than it is at Pollo Incas, but it was delicious still. We had the lomo saltado, absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn’t like was the fries. I’ve never had fries at Peruvian restaurants before, but I didn’t have to eat it, so I gave it to my husband. I would prefer real potatoes. Also the empanadas were very good, served very hot and fresth. To quench your thirst, try a Peruvian beer. Two thumbs up and we will be back.
