Been coming here since it opened. Best sushi in the area. Thomas is exceptional. Great special rolls and great service.

The California roll is the BEST !! We love everything we’ve ever ordered here. The service is excellent! :-) : -)Very clean and always cool and comfortable. It’s our favorite Japanese in the upland area!

One of our families favorite spots for a meal. Sushi is fresh & yummy & the menu has items for the non-sushi eaters too. We’ve also done take– out and it’s always ready & packed well when we pick up!

Haven’t been to happy with the service lately. We have been going to Kuma for a few years, and we’re happy to say we had a second choice to Kens now. But the sushi hasn’t been bad, but the service has been awful. Had one waitress leave the restaurant after taking our order, she never came back. And this last week had a hostess/waitress helping my wife and I. We also had our 1 year with us. Asked for a water cup for him, she came back with an empty cup with lid and straw on it. Had to ask her to fill it up with water as well. Really hope something changes soon, or we might not be going back anymore. Really love a good sushi restaurant in the colonies. Just needs to step it back up.

I’ve been to sushi restaurants all of the Southland over the past 25 years and this place is the real deal. Since moving out to the inland empire, I have been coming to this place for the past five years, probably at least 50 times and I have never been disappointed. In my opinion this is the best in the area. Their fish is consistently fresh and their service is above average. If you had a bad experience, I’m sure it’s rare and they will fix. They definitely don’t deserve 3 Stars. On a bad day maybe 4 stars. Try their salmon carpaccio and the pepper salmon, it’s delicious. I highly recommend.

A lot has changed. This place has went downhill for sure. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and tempura shrimp and veggies. The tempura was dripping grease, and the chicken was hard as a rock The waitress never came back to check on us or fill our empty drinks, When I mentioned how greasy the tempura was, she casually said it was the same as always. I never ever never tip, in this case, I did not tip. We will not be back. What a fall from grace.

Good food, bad service. Has to ask for a menu, had to tell them we were ready to order, had to ask for check.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants. I’m from Corona but it’s worth the drive. Salmon Carpaccio is delicious and you can’t go wrong with a crunch roll. All the food is fresh and you’re in and out quickly and content. This place gets really busy in the evenings and definitely over the weekends. Go here for lunch and dodge the traffic. Only down side is they don’t offer all you and can eat sushi but I completely understand why. it’s sooo good people would eat them out of house and home. MUSTTRY!

Sucky sucky service. No greeting a smile seems to be too much to ask for and on top of it while it’s always been their saving grace the food sucked tonight. Au revoir, Kuma.

Definitely a bit pricey here but I haven’t been too disappointed. Not every sushi place has gindara black cod so that’s a plus :) they also have chawanmushi here which isn’t served at every sushi joint. Usually it’s really good but last night it was dry and gross :(hopefully just a one time fluke. Sushi is good, everyone is really nice. I’m surprised that it hasn’t been busier since it’s in a decent location. They always have unique specials but last night they seemed to be out of a lot of stuff — to their defense we arrived pretty darn late. Beers on draft, decent wine selection, attentive staff.

This is prime sushi! We started with mixed tempura, beautiful veggies with a light crispy breading. I definitely recommend. Shrimp tempura roll next, perfectly cooked shrimp not hard over cooked shrimp, perfectly soft with that same fluffy crunch. Wife could only eat cooked because she is pregos. I had the most delicious Uni with a quail egg on top yummy umami! Then a cucumber shrimp roll so crisp and refreshing this is the real deal. Last but not least two mixed oyster shooters with quail eggs sake and plum wine with some smelt roe and other aquatic compliments to polish it off I had both of course nothing raw for Wifey. Five stars across the board.

Worst service ever! We have given them a couple of opportunities, but they are really bad starting from the service to the food. Don’t even give them a chance! Don’t waist your money and time!

Don’t waste your money, your time, or your appetite! So disappointed. The food tasted very processed and fishy, it was gross. The California rolls look like they were made by a five-year-old, and the crab inside tasted like canned tuna. Yuck. I was even disappointed in the miso soup. If The miso soup is nasty, you can guarantee the food following the soup will be just as disappointing.

Horrible service Sat for 10 minutes and had to ask for our drinks because we were being ignored. Then the waitress forgot to put our order in, and we sat for another 45 minutes with no food.

People who have written prior have really no idea what true sushi is supposed to be… I know that the young folks love the all you can eat places… this is not one of them. Fresh fish is Always the standard here. Come and enjoy a true gem in the IE. You won’t regret it.

I used to come here often… no more! I always loved the food and service here. I can overlook a lot of things in a restaurant, but cleanliness and health violations are a big red flag. The restaurant was not that busy and there were plenty of open tables. The table we were sat as was dirty. Dishes were dirty. When edamame arrived the plate beneath had a half eaten shrimp on the plate. How does that happen unless they are putting dirty dishes in the food prep area? It was disgusting. We left. Yokunai! 良くない

Had the crunchie roll, California for the kids, Caterpillar roll, and I’ve also had the monkey balls from here. Crunchie roll was ok. Nothing terrific. California is well… California roll, kids loved it. Caterpillar roll was pretty good. Monkey balls are delish. … For the 3 rolls I paid about $ 27 I would have been good without the crunchie roll! All in all its not horrible but not a gotta have spot. Close to my house so its do-able.

Service was good. My review might be just a bit biased because I just recently had the best sushi at another place. Sushi isn’t great but not bad. Fried rice isn’t worth ordering, kind of bland. Shrimp tempura is good, just a tad over battered, not as light as I would prefer.

**Salmon skin hand rolls are now $ 1.50 no longer $ 1.00** I tried a variety of nigiri and also the lobster feast roll and fried jalapeño roll. The fish was good – I’ve had better but no complaints. I enjoyed the fried jalapeño roll! A must for cream cheese and jalapeño lovers. Salmon skin hand rolls are a bit salty, so you probably don’t want to dip them in soy. Otherwise are tasty and worth the $ 1.50 Staff was on point and food was served quickly.
