For the price I give it four stars. Nothing fancy here but clean, comfortable, attached steak house with bar. Huge parking area if you are pulling a trailer. Breakfast sucks but restaurants are nearby. Free wi-fi. We are marking this as a stay over when traveling from Beaufort to Pensacola.

Clarion’s are usually older hotels, and I would guess this one falls into that category. But, they’re also usually the nicer branch of Choice Hotels, and this also fell into that category. I stayed here for work, which had a block of rooms. Brandon V. is right — it definitely is a weird layout(think more like a motel, but instead of your room being open to the street, you need a key card to get into the hallways to get to your room). Since it is a conference center, it’s a huge hotel. I disagree that it’s confusing though, the girl who checked me in showed me on a map where my room was and directed me how to drive over to park close by the room. The buildings are marked by sections(example I was room 708 so I parked by the 700 building). As long as you kinda know where your room is, just park near the section. I didn’t have time to check out the free breakfast but enjoyed my stay, the king bed I had was nice and comfy. I thought the bedding was definitely better than most Choice Hotel rooms I’ve stayed in.

Eh… Nothing special going on here, and the layout of this place is darn near the strangest I’ve ever seen. I’m almost sure that I walked at least a half mile outdoors to get to my room. There are multiple buildings and they aren’t marked well. The good news is that there weren’t any rats, and there is free breakfast(if you can find your way to it), but if you’ve got another choice, I’d take it.
