I had a hard time finding a restaurant other than a pizza place in Vallejo that would deliver food. I live and work across on the other side of the bay, but my bf lives in the v. He was sick so I wanted to send him food. He wanted rice, so I called a few Chinese restaurants. This was the only one I found that would deliver in his radius and I could pay through eat24. At first there was a mix up when I called to confirm if my order went through for delivery. The guy on the phone said it was placed as a pick up order but can deliver if we paid cash delivery. I couldn’t do that since I’m 68 miles away. I called eat24 to straighten it out, but they said I did infact get delivery, but while I was on the phone the restaurant called and apologized for the mix up. The food got to my bf’s house in less than an hour. He said the food was decent enough and portions were generous. Thanks for pulling through guys.

I DON’T recommend the egg fu yong. It was over fried but still slimy with awful sauce on top, the pork rice tasted like it had been on a warming tray for a good long while, the chowmein was mushy and under cooked. The fried prawns were un edible because of the amount of oil they were sitting in in the bag. The Mongolian beef and broccoli beef were decent but I will not be ordering there again. I wish grub hub had a complaint section!

Mediocre at best 7.75 for lunch. special no soup. ordered the orange chicken drenched in wayyyy to much sauce. Like poured syrup. First and last visit. Not good I did not finish plate. I did.not.want to waste. the calories. I. should have followed my. own mind and home. Panda express is better then this. The best part was the tea and fortune.cookie.

Prompt delivery. Mangolian Beef was very good, and the Wor Wanton soup was very good, and chicken chow fun was good. Did not care for the Pot Stickers. Will order from them again.

I wanted to love this place, man. I wanted to love this place so badly that I continued to go back to it like you might go back to an ex while you’ve got problems with your main chick, but still, a truth remained evident every single time: it’s just not as good as what you’ve already got. China Café has all the makings of a great Chinese restaurant: it’s spacious, very well-decorated, and the service is consistently prompt and kind. The owner and his primary waitress convey the sort of understated sweetness and service that could turn around a city like Vallejo. Unfortunately, what prevents it from ever being anything more than just another mediocre Chinese food joint is… Yeah, you guessed it, the food. The stuff is no better than what you might find sitting in the trays at a grab-and-go takeout place. Chinese food is Chinese food; it has a tendency to be pretty good even when it’s not that good, but when you’re dining out like this, you expect something better. Everything that makes China Café so great only serves to accentuate how dull the food is. Walking in through the double doors to witness the grand(and slightly dusty) décor housed within the sprawling size of the place, and being invited to sit ever so kindly by the owner himself fools you into believing that the food will match the rest of the experience. And then, after the food has been brought out and after you take your first few bites, it hits you: IT’S MEDIOCRE! Okay, okay, it’s probably good enough, but with the far superior option of China Wok just around the corner, this place is a hard sell. I just can’t bring myself to recommend it.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. It tasted days old. Matter fact, the leftovers the next day smelled rotten. The chow mein was mushy, and the veggies were definitely old. The rice was so bland I put a whole packet of soy sauce to taste something. The Beef and Broccoli wasn’t bad. The Pot stickers were half mushy. The prawns for my sweet and sour prawns had so much breading and was also, some how, mushy. So disappointing, I will not be ordering again.

China Café has become our regular spot for Chinese food. We always dine in, and each time I have found the service to be phenomenal, and the food quality to be high. They’re also generous — we always leave with leftovers. Reasonably priced, great hours, and great location in Vallejo.

Ordered for delivery from here yesterday and it was not the best first impression. I had never eaten here before but the fact they delivered food was great. They had told me my food would be delivered in an hour and 15 minutes which was pretty long since I live 5 min away and it was a Tuesday night. Whatever. I get the food and the Fried rice was burnt. How do you burn fried rice at a Chinese restaurant? It was very bland and no flavor. Also, the sweet and sour chicken I got was kind of on the colder side which I guess is normal since its delivery. Anyways, my boyfriend did get a stomach ache from eating this food so I do not recommend it. Never again. Do not order delivery from here!

So I ordered a meal through Unilocal.a soda, rice, honey walnut prawns, pot stickers and sweet and sour pork. The delivery driver showed up about an hour later and proceeded to ring my doorbell 6 times and knock on it like the 10 times all within the 20 seconds it takes me to get to my door from my living room.(rude as heck by the way) he then just hands me my food and runs down the stairs before i could see if i got everything. guess what I didn’t my order was missing the pot stickers. So I called the restaurant and the guy said they would be back with them if they had time… what? Also my honey walnut prawns had like 15 small shards of styrofoam in it but at this point im so hungry ill just throw that away and eat the sweet and sour pork. I would NEVER order from this place again.

Spare ribs are delicious. Mu Shu pork is delicious– pancakes are nice and big. I feel like a lot of Chinese restaurants skimp on the war wonton soup other than veggies, but there are plenty of wontons, bbq pork, chicken, and shrimp. I love honey walnut prawns– but I think there was too much creamy sauce. Other than that– service was fantastic; in sure we’ll be back!

Went here today because the kiddo got a sample of The General Chicken during the farmers market and he liked as well as we did when we sat down. We also ordered the Hong Kong Style Noodle which was also great and not salty like many places. Hidden Vallejo gem!!! Good Chinese

On a visit to California, we were looking for some good Chinese food. I’m sure glad we found this place! I was only in Vallejo for ten days, but I stopped here three times. Once with my family and twice by myself. The taste was great and so was the price. The service is excellent as well. Jim is an absolutely our favorite. When I come back to the west coast, I’m definitely coming back.

This place is conveniently located only one block away from my apartment! The owner is a sweetheart. She is always friendly in-person and on the phone. I usually get cashew chicken(it is amazing). I have tried the pork buns and egg rolls which are all very good. The prices are slightly expensive depending on what you order. The delivery charge is $ 5.00. Even though I am so close, I still have them deliver at times because I am lazy.

Ordered take out from a lady. Ordered lemon chicken, pork fried rice, with sweet and sour sauce. Got terrible tasting rice, no sweet and sour sauce and plain chicken, no lemon. Called back. Lady was rude and offered no resolve. Very rude. Will never, ever order here again. But… They got their $ 21.00 !!!

Affordable prices, every portion is enough for two or three people so keep that in mind when ordering. The hot and sour soup is amazing, and the service was very friendly. This was my first time here and I will definitely come back.

Horrible customer service. Delivered wrong food refused to refund. Waited 2 hrs for correct food to be delivered then they called to say they would credit us. No, I would like a refund because in not coming back to your establishment. He hung up on me… twice. Don’t bother eating here or trying to get delivery… you’re better off at Panda Express.

Ripped off! That’s right this place is a true rip off! Both times that we’ve eaten here we ordered rice and then never gotten it. Why would they charge us $ 7.50 for steamed rice in the first place when fried rice is $ 6.95??? Then they charge you 15% tip on food you never got! WoW!!! I didn’t even get to the good part yet, we ordered salt and pepper chicken wings and Kung pao chicken, in both dishes the chicken was still raw. I showed the waitress and she has the waiter/owner come to our table and he takes the dishes and my plate(which had all my other food on it) and says he’ll make us new ones(in Chinese that means cook the original batch until done) so the salt n pepper chicken came out with the same amount of pieces as when it left(7 but original dish had 10) it kinda seemed like they nuked it cause the skin was now soggy instead of crunchy, and as for the Kung pao, all the vegetables were now over cooked, the whole dish now had a brown tinge over the whole thing(maybe from being cooked twice??) If you own a restaurant and you(excuse my language) fu – ed up, then start fresh and make a new one! You’ve gotten a second chance to redeem your restaurant name! When you do wrong and handle it the way you did, you not only lose a customer for good but now the whole world knows what you did!!! You’ve now lost another 20 other potential customers! We didn’t even touch the Kung pao any more it looked nasty! My only regret was I didn’t take any pictures of this hot mess to show everyone!!! I also want to mention that the silverware was sticky and the bathrooms were filthy, one of the woman’s toilets were clogged and full of doo doo and the other had doo doo all over the wet seat! So here’s my final advice to all my fellow Unilocalers: Just keep on walking! China wok is right down the street and they got 4 stars! LoL! One star is one star too many, they need an option for zero stars!
