Good food but a little pricey. Minus one star for price and not having like a two or three item plates.

I’ve ordered take out twice now from China Wok. Julia has always been such a great help when it comes to ordering, she takes the time to explain the different ingredients and the flavors it offers. Definitely one of my favorite places in Vallejo!

We love this place and go as often as we can. The prices are good, the food is SODELICIOUS, the staff is friendly, and the presentation is on point. The Princess Chicken, sizzling rice soup, veggie friend rice, and Mongolian beef are a few of our favorites.

I’ve passed by this place for years and then on a recommendation from a friend I decided to try as I was really desperate for Chinese food. This restaurant is by far the best all around Chinese restaurant I’ve tried in Vallejo. So far I’ve had the shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, szechuan prawns, combination chow mein, honey walnut prawns, orange chicken(don’t do it) and dry fried ribs. Everything I’ve tried has been good except the orange chicken they are huge chicken balls which is just strange and unappetizing. The staff is friendly and they will make special orders for you if the restaurant is not super busy. I’ve only gotten take out and would probably not sit and eat in unless I worked around there but the food is good and it’s a good value.

Great service! I love the soups, especially the sizzling rice soup! Foil wrapped chicken was good and we tried their Mooshoe pork, super yummy! 4stars due to atmosphere, it could use a little sprucing up. But that won’t stop us from going back!

Just a quick shout out, China Wok’s special dish tonight was Caramelized Organic Eggplant. Slightly sweet and crunchy on the outside, fresh and succulent on the inside, they were amazing! Seriously, head on over ASAP and give this new dish a try. I hope they add it to their regular menu. We also had the sweet and sour fish. which likewise was fresh and tasty. As I think I mentioned before the pricing here is a bit on the high side, our two dishes with rice for two and no drinks came out to nearly $ 40 after tax and tip!!! They charge $ 2 per rice serving, which adds up. I think it the high quality and tastiness of the food was worth it but hey, it this is downtown Vallejo we’re talking about, not Lafayette or Orinda! I would give them a five but the high $$ and the run-for-your-life locale cost them a star.

When I first moved to Vallejo I tried several Chinese places and this one is by far the best. I have never eaten in house but have gotten take out several times. The salt and pepper asparagus is an interesting dish– fried with chiles and so good. Although every time I’ve ordered it, it’s been green beans. Still amazing but just be aware it won’t likely be asparagus. The veggie fried rice is also one of my favorites, ample portions and lots of vegetables. I don’t eat meat but my boyfriend loves the generals chicken and spare ribs. Another dish I am a big fan of is the broccoli and garlic sauce. A lot of places make a mess of that dish and china wok does not disappoint. The only caveat I have with this place if that I feel it is a bit over priced. It’s good but definitely not cheap. Honesty, some of the best Chinese food I’ve had so worth it. If you live in Vallejo and want a good Chinese food spot, this is it.

I came in here for the 1st time tonight. Based on the good reviews, i was looking forward to enjoying some good Chinese food. I walked in to try and place a to go order. She sat me down & gave me a menu. I was ready to order, but was never able to. Other people were able to order before me and two phone orders as well, even though i was there before them. I guess you have to be 2nd, 3rd and 4th to get 1st service. As i walked out i called, Guess what… instant service. No thank you.

China Wok: northern Chinese food NOT Cantonese. And thus, this whole review is tinged because I had my expectations set on Canto. My family came here the day after Thanksgiving before heading up into the wineries. We had Cantonese cravings, and 3 Star Restaurant closer to Marine World was closed. What we ordered: 1. 2 seafood noodle soups. Cravings for congee as we had sick members in our party, but it was not served here. The seafood was good, but the noodles were very disappointing. 2. Curry chicken. Not bad, not spectacular. 3. Chicken chow fun. Very tender chicken, but too much green onions. *. Egg drop soup. Very salty and had a lot of tomato flavor. No presence of corn, which I sometimes see as part of egg drop soup. Service: Nothing spectacular and a little slow. Food came plated for single serving. They did not encourage family-style eating among six people at lunch. I had to get up and get my own plates for sharing and extra soup spoon when mine was taken away too quickly. If you like northern food, and that’s what you want, this place is a solid three stars.

Love the honey walnut chicken here! The Chef is on point, always great waitress/waiter experience. Whether we dine in or call in our order it is always a great experience. I will not go anywhere else for my Chinese food in Vallejo

By far the best Chinese food in Vallejo . You gotta have the House special; Sizzling mango beef, Thai chicken & shrimp, Garlic chicken… too many to list, but all delicious! Julia has got to be the friendliest waitress, always so attentive and smiling! My family loves this place.

Ok, the best Chinese in Vallejo!!! Try their deep fried eggplant, yum!!! I hated eggplant until I tried theirs! Their service is awesome and restaurant is very clean. They also decorate their plates so beautifully! Great place! Must try!

This was probably my 20th time eating here. Service is great. The waitress is always consistent and you might see the brief smile of the owner as she helps staff. Food is fresh every time. Lunchtime prices are better for my budget than the dinner menu. However, You might feel out of place if dining during the lunch hour without a ‘suit & tie’, as you will here the jargon of the business and law working crowd. Wall tapestrys and art need updating or a good cleaning. Other than that A rating.

OK. I love Chinese food. Saw the reviews… trusted the Helpers… Thanks guys! my order: BBQ Pork Chow mein– How I rate Chinese food. The only reason I did not give five stars is because I prefer smaller(not so doughey and thick) noodles pan fried. *lo mein on east coast. I’m gonna try hong Kong style next. it was very tasty though and there is a lot of it! Beef with green onion. oh yum! juicy! lots of onions, garlic galore! its ALL mine! no one will come near me anyway! BBQ Pork fried rice. a ton of it! great! tons of flavor! Combination WOR wonton soup *no shrimp due to allergy. getting there still! I’m only a 118 lbs! *Threw in a free potsticker –probably she knew how awesome I am! **Pleasant surprise with the cinnamon sugar won tons! loved that! ***Lady on the phone(sorry lady on the phone I forgot if you said your name) very nice! was on hold for about a minute or so.(time to peruse online menu) Customer service from beginning to end was exemplary. 2 things 1: there were no chopsticks in my bag, or a spoon or fork hence why I haven’t tried the soup yet… 2: delivery! wasn’t available at this time * lady on phone apologetic and I just drive a mile down. so convenient! Glad I gave it a shot! Will be going back to try other dishes. My meal was less than forty and its just a butt ton of food for the price!

Quick. Delish. Fresh. Convenient. Inexpensive. For under $ 10 you get a small green salad, hot and sour soup and these delicious little crisp sweet wontons to start then whatever entrée you order. I got the szechuan beef with fried rice and my son got the orange chicken with white rice. Both dishes came out within 7 minutes hot and fresh. They were not over sauced and almost to hot to consume. Both my son and I were happy with our orders. He wished there was a little bit more to his dish but he did not eat the soup or salad.

This place seemed pretty decent to me. The service was awesome, but the food was just okay– I’ve had better Chinese food from the area. A lot of people were there talking about how tasty their meals were, so maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes. We went with the orange chicken, combo fried rice, and wontons. Our favorite of the three was the rice. The chicken had a strange flavor, but we sure did enjoy the decorative plate with the strawberries and orange slices! I won’t really remember this place, but overall I was satisfied with the meal.

This is my go to place whenever I’m in town. Vallejo has, sadly, very few good places to eat especially if you like anything other than American and you’re a vegetarian I love the vegi food here but, my favorite is the dry braised green beans. I’ve come with many non vegetarians who have lived the foods too. My only complaint is that they are often really busy, maybe a function of the lack of other good restaurants in the area. This means it takes a while to get food, even to go orders and sometimes it takes a while to get someone to answer the phone in order to place an order :( I would plan ahead, make sure you arrive before you’re hangery or call a bit earlier than you might think you need to to get your order in. Worth trying and coming back over and over again

Hands down the beat Chinese food in Vallejo I’ve tried thus far. I use to go to Panda Garden but not anymore. Pros: Fresh Flavorful Variety Efficient Quality Quantity Location Cons: No delivery(even it says they do) Not very friendly(I’ve only ordered to go) Outdated(but space for groups) A tad pricey(you definitely get what you pay for) This time we ordered the BBQ pork chow mein, shrimp fried rice, cashew chicken and fried chicken wings(with curry). The chow mein has a plentiful portion of BBQ pork and the thick noodles are to die for, perfectly seasoned might I add. The shrimp fried rice is more like prawn fried rice with huge shrimp complete with peas, carrots, scrambled eggs and onions. The cashew chicken is perfected with white meat slices of chicken, cubed zucchini, carrots and toasted cashews. Yummy!
