Fernandas NY Pizza

The pizza quality was good and the delivery was quick. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful and explain to me the ingredients and their menu options. This is going to be a new local favorite of ours.

This is a great place for inexpensive Italian food — my faves are the pasta dishes, their meatballs are fantastic!!!
Had good and just ok pizzas from them, but the pasta is the bomb!
Also a big fan of their salads, they are fresh, crisp and a great companion to the pasta

Well worth the wait! There bbq chicken pizza, smoothies and tuna salad are so flavorful and fresh! Great friendly service! This place is a must have if you’re in the valley area. I get it every time I come down from Santa Clarita! I don’t give much feedback, but this restaurant is worthy of a good review. I love this place!!!

Excellent pizza. A very good addition to their pizza is the eggplant. Good service and friendly greeting even though it was clear they were very busy filling take out orders. Definitely call ahead and place your order. They said my order would be ready in 20 minutes and it was.

Ok pizza, not so great service and delivery takes longer then they tell you, forgot condiments, and still charged us for them. Ridiculous.
So rather take business else where.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered a simple large pizza through eat 24. I’ve never had an issue ordering through there. When the time came to receive the pizza it wasn’t here so I called and they told me the driver was on her way. So I waited another 15 minutes and still no pizza so I called again and they told me that something was wrong with the fax machine and the order was never put through. I had a hungry toddler waiting for that pizza. It had been over an hour and half at that point. They did offer a free pizza but at that point it was pointless. Very disappointed with them lying from the beginning and then saying it was a fax issue.

My family and I have order from here 3 times in the past two months. This place is great! We have gotten the wings, pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. All absolutely delicious! And the lady that delivers the food is so nice! I’m so happy I found this place. I will never look back at papa johns, dominos, or Pizza Hut again. Thanks Unilocal

I wouldn’t say this is the best pizza place in the valley, and the pizza honestly was average. I had a bid hiccup with them because their mobile site offers 10% off when you order through the site, but unfortunately the mobile site and what they can apply in store are apparently different, so I had to cancel my order and re– do everything. The quality of the cheese was decent and the crust was a bit overdone. In addition if they could train their staff to be friendly I think i would help, as soon as I walked in they ll just mugged me like an unwanted fly; for around $ 15 bucks for a large pizza not bad, but not worth raging over.

I was not happy with my experience at all. They quoted delivery time to be 45 – 50 minutes and it took almost 2 hours to get my pizza. The pizza was just ok. I won’t be ordering from Fernandas ever again.

I love this place sooooooo much! The pizza is always good. You must try their pupusas, eggplant pizza, cheeseburgers and fettuccini alfredo. They value each and every customer and I’m always happy with every meal they make for me. They seriously have the best pupusas around! Pizza and Pupusas? Its’ a match made in food heaven!

My bf and I are into trying new places… and though we’re call our Sundays «Lazy»…I drove to Fernanda’s for this highly star rated Ny pizza… I ordered a large half pepperoni half jalapeño 16″ pizza… when i got there i was welcomed and since i ordered my pizza thru Eat24, it was ready and i was out of there in less than a minute… i got home and i went straight for the jalapeño slice… OMG!!! It was HOT… but good at the same time! I layered a pepperoni slice on top of the Jalapeño slice to lessen the spice… didn’t help much but it was fun to do it! So far it was a great pizza and i will be ordering again!

Good pizza — I’ve not had ‘real’ NY pizza in NY (which probably has its crappy joints as well) but this was slightly burnt on the bottom, good chewy overall, perfectly done on the top. Mushroom and pepperoni medium size
Salad was basic but all was very fresh (well canned sliced black olives are canned sliced black olives…)
Delivery about 40 minutes; was told 30 on the phone.
Told to use cash not credit card as they were having lots of fraud issues. I’m a business traveler at a hotel (which he knew at the time of his statement) so I find that odd; easy to verify that I am in fact staying here when I have to pick up at front desk.
Guy on the phone that took order was nice and efficient, but kept using my name about two times per sentence which kinda got weird.

Sometimes, I crave a pizza that is honest. One that doesn’t try too hard with do-​it-​yourself gimmicks or flush with unusual cheeses and other ingredients. I just want a specific, yet classic taste. Fernanda’s gives me that in their pizza. I usually just go with pepperoni as the only topping and have it cooked well-​done to get some crunch on the crust. It’s always ready on time and the employees are cool. Can’t ask for more.

Just ordered from Fernandas NY Pizza today through EAT24. When the order arrived I realized Fernandas got the order partially wrong. I called and spoke with Xavier who was completely apologetic and offered to make me the correct pizza on the spot as well as re-​deliver my corrected order without any hesitation.
In a world of lackluster customer service this was a welcomed relief and I will definitely order from Fernandas again. Thank you for taking care of your customers!

After my experience I am wondering if I would have been better off ordering a full pizza and not slices. I ordered 2 slices and a ceasar salad to go. I love NY style pizza but find few do it well but based on reviews thought I’d give this place a try. The size of the slices was great. However, the actually pizza was not. My pepperoni slice had a good amount of sauce and pepperoni but lacked on the cheese. There was no ooey gooey cheesy pull with my bites. I even popped it in the oven hoping it would help but realized there just want enough cheese on the slice. The pepperoni was better than the spinach white pizza slice though. That slice was just dry and bland as if it was just an old pizza. It lacked in the flavor department big time. I was so disappointed because I was really looking forward to having pizza because I don’t eat it too often. The salad was okay (felt the romaine lettuce wasn’t the freshest). Outside of that, the staff seemed really nice and friendly. I’m willing to give their full pizzas a try. I’m hoping it will turn me.

I just basically had one of the most boring Saturdays in all of existence. I woke up and basically lazed about on Unilocal just looking up places to go, and eventually, I just lost all motivation to really go anywhere. So I basically just stayed in my living room. That wasn’t great.
Then I was like, hey, pizza is a pretty economical thing. For like, under 15 bucks, I essentially have 2 – 3 meals ALL FOR MYSELF. It’s QUICK and DELICIOUS. And then I suddenly got all the motivation in the universe to get some awesome, awesome pizza.
Looking up the best pizza in Van Nuys, I came upon Fernandas. I drove over the hill to get here, and to my awesome surprise, I saw that a one-​topping 12″ pizza was just $ 6.99!
That’s just like an epic deal. The people in here all greeted me warmly, which felt awesome. There was a family waiting, and the whole vibe was just comfortable. After such a mundane day, it was exactly what I needed.
Parking here is just a little lot out front shared amongst five or so shops. There were spaces available when I was there, and I can’t imagine it ever getting super full.
The pizza came out in about 10 minutes, and boy was it good. I got sausage, and it was the sliced sausage, not the ground up stuff. The cheese was perfectly done and was nice and stretchy – just how I like it. The thin crust was very well-​done, and the entire pie just tasted excellent.
As people came in, the people working were just so nice and even recognized a customer and gave him a hearty handshake and hug since they hadn’t seen each other in forever. It was awesome.
As Wheel of Fortune played on the TV and I was stuffing my third slice into my mouth, I felt at peace. Fernandas was the only place I wanted to be.

We LOVE Fernanda’s! We’ve been living in the area for two years and, we are pizza-​lovers! Back in Boston we had amazing pizza places close to our home, but here we struggled a bit more to find one we really liked.
Now, LA is not known for its pizza, but Fernanda found a spot in our hearts. It is a little hole in a wall, that has really tasty, thin crust pizza! We love simple ones like cheese (and add some ham), but our favorite is the BBQ Chicken pizza.
Also, customer service is the best! They are nice and fast… Delivery is prompt and always with a smile!
We’re fans and we get our weekly pizza fix, from them!
