Papa John’s Pizza

I don’t know what to say other than this place has the notable distinction of being THE WORST pizza I have EVER HAD. My frozen pizza I just bought at Ralphs was 20 x better in quality, flavor, texture and overall taste of pizza as a whole. I bought a groupon having NEVER used Papa johns before. I ordered and used a gift card. I ordered 4 x to be fair. ALL 4 times worst pizza EVER. But I felt I HAD to use because I paid for it. I ended up giving to people when I came over. Sort of like bringing a bottle of cheap wine I brought a HORRIBLE pizza. NOONE i shared this pizza with will EVER order from Papa Johns. I don’t know how theyve stayed in business. I ordered cheese only, cheese with onion, cheese with sausage and Cheese with Peperoni. EVERY one of them AWFUL. I would not have given one star had I been able to do so. I EVEN tried wings yesterday. DISGUSTING. Another wasted credit card purchase with groupon. I think I should really just stick to NON coupon deals. And I called Groupon to ask if I could leave a review on THEIR site for the groupons I recently had which were terrible (only 2 of about 300) and they said the feature is not available. So how or where do their reviews come from? They should not offer groupons for badly reviewed places. Especially as bad as the Papa JOhns in Van Nuys. Thankfully it was only twenty five dollars

Worse customer service ever. Placed an order for delivery for a work function last week Tuesday. Had a big business meeting to attend and my team wanted pizza so placed an order 2 hours before the time I needed the food delivered. Placed the order online at about 12noon to be delivered by 2pm seeing how that was the start time of the meeting that way the food would be warm still, 2o’clock comes and goes 2:10 rolls around still no call from our security department, called the location about 2:20 was instantly placed on hold didn’t get someone to come back on till about 2:30 which the girl said hello then hung up. Are you kidding me??? Had an assistant call and same thing got hung up on. Called again and was told oh driver will be there in 5 minutes didn’t have the food delivered till 2:45, no compensation. The girl working was extremely rude said 1 pizza would make up for the inconvenience. Are you kidding me?! We ordered 4 pizzas. How is 1 compensation. Asked to speak to a sup apparently no one was available. Was asked to call back the following day and the manager would come in at 3pm. Called and the manager apparently gets off at 2… Wow ok, thanks for the false information, had my assistant speak to another gentleman who informed him we would get our whole order replaced for the following week, all he had to do was call. He called Tuesday of this week and same original rude girl was there. She wouldn’t get anybody else on the line, didn’t keep what was promised. I can’t believe a location like this is still in business. As a Fortune 500 company who tends to order often from this papa johns and we will never order from this location again!

These people have gotten my order wrong various times and clearly there is no one in charge to fix the problems i will never order from there again.

Waited for 50 minutes for a medium pizza. Was told «it’s in the oven» more than once. Took a refund since it didn’t appear I was getting a pizza, but really they should have refunded me and given me the pizza for wasting my time.

This is my very first Unilocal review ever… I usually just come on here to check out reviews but this is too much. I rarely order pizza these days but when I do it’s Papa John. however this may be the very worst experience ever. The slices were uneven, they didn’t give me the right sauce, the pizza wasn’t as robust as I expect from PJ’s. Just an all around bad taste in my mouth to this place. I would rather get Lil Caesar’s then go back to this place

I love Papa John’s pizza, ordered hundreds of pizzas already from them! But this place is bad! I ordered a Large pizza, but when I got home, I realized that it was Medium size! And no Parmesan!

On my way home, wanted Pizza stopped at Papa John’s. Placed my order. Experienced very bad customer service and long waiting time. Even though the Pizza tasted good (any pizza when you eat out of the oven and you are hungry will taste good) but I did not digest it comfortably because of the bad customer service.

Annoying to deal with.
They tried to tell me that I should call someone else for a delivery, but then I asked them if they could actually deliver to where I’m at, and they said yes. How dumb.

Every time I order from this place I always say maybe this time will be different, maybe this time will be different, and guess what? It’s never different it’s always the same. Last time the driver said that the gate was closed and he couldn’t get in even though I know for a fact that the gate was broken and he could get in. Then he said he called me twice but my phone wasn’t working which was a total lie because guess which phone I used to call to check on my order? so I waited almost 2 hours for my food because he took it back to the store. The time before that, we ordered a large pizza on original crust with 2 separate 2 liter bottles of soda. What did we get? A medium pizza that they stretched out to a large so the dough was really thin and they only brought us 1 bottle of soda even though we paid for 2. And what happened this time? Way overdone breadsticks and they completely forgot to give me the extra dipping sauces that again I had already paid for. And the driver told me when I asked him «oh they didn’t tell me anything about extra sauce cups.» Oh so you didn’t double check the order before you left the store? NEVER AGAIN. EVERY TIME my order is either messed up or they forget to bring me my WHOLE order.

I’ve been coming here for over 10+ years, maybe it has gone through different management, maybe it hasn’t but whatever the case maybe, one thing is certain, the food here has always been excellent and the staff has always been nice.

I really like papa johns out of all the fast food pizza. I order from here all the time its closest to my house last time I ordered I had a terrible experience with the service the pizza was still good but Jessica the manager tried her best to make it better and she did. I am a pretty satisfied customer.

One star because that’s the minimum and one for the dipping sauce. If you have ever eaten this pizza with out the dipping sauce, you know it’s the worst pizza out there. It’s ranked 50 on Unilocal in Van Nuys, and only that high because of the quantity of bad reviews. There are pizza places with more stars ranked lower. If you do order from here make sure that you tip well, they treat their employees horribly.

This is the second time we ordered from here. Both times zero stars. First time around took forever, came cold and was made wrong. Second time today, took an hour twenty from order to delivery. When call in they’re rude. Will never order from here again.

I normally come to this particular Papa John’s and sometimes I’m not too pleased and this time was no different as my medium tuscan pizza was over cooked.
However, a fabulous employee named Reykel (sp?) opened the pizza to make sure that it was what I wanted. She noticed it was over cooked and not only had the cooks remake the pizza, but she also upgraded it to a Large. She even offered me my old one with it if I wanted it.
She was absolutely awesome and i must say that it was very refreshing to receive such excellent customer service these days!
Thank you for finally hiring someone who takes pride in their job and in giving awesome customer service!

ZERO STARS!
Placed an order…1 hour, 30+ minutes later, it’s nowhere to be seen.
I call and cancel and they hang up on me after I politely request for it to be cancelled (I gave no attitude).
I’ll be watching my credit card and will be issuing a charge-​back if they dare charge it.
I’ll never order from this one again.
EDIT: They removed the charge from the card, thankfully. Still 1 star.

Been here several times. Always greeted when I come in. Staff is nice. Gets busy but it’s next to a grocery store & other fast food places. Only 2 places to sit inside. Sometimes the employees look dirty cause they don’t all wear aprons. Overall it’s a pretty good location. Never got sick here.

Wish I could give zero stars! I was quoted a 30 – 40 minute delivery window. The cold, shitty pizzas arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes later. They offered me 30% off my next order as a half assed apology.
Why the f#ck would I order from them again?
My poor guests were starving.

Totally fucking adequate. I walked in and was greeted with friendly, quick service. Got my pizza, left, ate it. No issues. Tasted like Papa Johns pizza. 3 stars because eating Papa Johns in the middle of the day is not breaking any ground for my tastes buds but absolutely no complaints.
You want Papa Johns? I see no issue coming here.

I ordered from papa johns in a couple locations throughout the valley and had generally good service and food quality. I had never ordered from this locations which is closest to home. I called, placed the order, and it was all good. Pizza arrived on time and looked delicious. I ate a couple slices and my mom (who doesn’t really ever eat pizza) ate half a slice. The taste was good, but man, a couple hours later I’m in my bathroom throwing up everything I ate all day. My mom felt just as sick and nauseous and the only thing we ate in common was the pizza. Vomiting all night and the most uncomfortable time trying to sleep between 2−5am. I will NEVER order from this place again. The person delivering the pizza should have been my first clue that this was gonna make me sick. Delivery driver looked dirty, and frankly, I don’t need a smelly delivery person coming to deliver food poisoning in a box. Sorry papa johns. This location needs to be burned to the ground and scraped from the concrete.
Where the hell are the managers? Don’t they see their terrible reviews? Or do they just not give a crap about their customers? Probably the later.
