Long wait for the food … we arrived about an hour prior to closing. My Peruvian guests were not that impressed. My husband said the pescado frito lacked«something», just okay. I had tallarines verdes(no meat) and it was good, but then the next day my stomach was not doing that well, so it might have had dairy.

If I could give this place more stars I would. I found this place because of my boyfriend he is Peruvian and he was craving some seconds carne. I Unilocaled it and I came across Lola’s. This was back in November 2015. We have literally tried everything in the menu. This has become our Sunday’s spot. We called they already know our names. The chicken is so juice and flavorful. Is really amazing how much flavor there chicken has. And how juice they are able make it. They don’t take away from the chicken they just enhance the flavors. Don’t even get me started on there SECODECARNE the meat again so flavorful, so juice, it just comes right off. The portions are also very large. There ceviche is another deliciousness. They know how to make things to perfection. Even there fries are delicious. There salsas are another thing that you ask yourself how can something so simple make my mouth have a party of pure flavor. Honestly at Lola’s you will never have a bad experience. Yeah the wait can sometimes be annoying but believe me when I say it is WORTHIT.

There are quite a few options for rotisserie chicken in the Valley especially of the peruvian flavor. Lola’s does not disappoint in this department. They offer up some tasty chicken that is well seasoned and juicy and of course aji sauces. Here they have mostly the green and white sauces, don’t remember ever being offered the yellow kind. The chicken is fine and the sides are pretty standard in what you would get at most peruvian joints, fries, rice, beans, salad, etc. But of course you are mainly here for the chicken which is pretty delicious. Only thing keeping this place from a few more stars does come down to service. It can be a bit slow and sometimes getting your order can take quite a bit. Also cleanliness sometimes seems to be a bit of an issue. But for a hole in the wall type place I guess you shouldn’t be surprised. We go here often despite all this and would recommend it to people looking for a new peruvian chicken place to call their own.

Best rotisserie chicken in the Valley! This is a Peruvian version and the dry rub is to die for, the chicken is super moist and fall of the bone. Be sure to order their fries as a side, amazing! I’ll let my photo speak for itself, great little hidden gem in Van Nuys

Love the chicken, the marination is awesome i just think it’s a little bit pricy rather than that the sauce is very nice

Awesome place and top Peruvian Roasted Chicken. Only headache parking sucks and the area can be dangerous at night for the ladies. Pick up only, the place is to small to eat there. Quality of the food is simply fantastic.

I loved Lola’s chicken the first few times I had it and it really is great chicken, but this review is for service and cleanliness. Last time I was there I was overcharged. I tried to explain this to the lady at the register. It was only about a dollar over the advertised price but it was frustrating that she did not speak enough English to understand my complaint and I ended up just paying it. What was worse was when my friend plate came here chicken had no skin. Lola’s chicken skin is amazing so she asked if she could return it for a piece with skin. They took her piece back and put it right back in with other pieces they where going to serve. This is very unsanitary as she had already taken the piece to her table on a plate so they didn’t know if it had been touched. We asked for a manager and were told that there wasn’t one.

This is the best chicken that I have had in the US. Last week I had 3 awesome bites of chicken at the Bazaar, and one awesome whole chicken here for the same price, and not only do I think this was befter, I think Jose Andrés would agree with me. If you live in Van Nuys, you get awesome food from all over the world. This should be your go to Peruvian chicken place.

The best. Lola’s chicken is always delicious. It’s the juciest chicken I’ve ever had. Their french fries are one of my favorites. I’ve tried other plates like the antichucos(grilled beef heart) and a few of the fish dishes. All are excellent. It’s a little whole in the wall but it moat certainly is a gem. It’s a must try if you’re in that part of the valley. Try the chicken now!

Simply delicious. Get some rotisserie chicken to go since you are going to love this. A little small place but humongous flavor. Parking though is a challenge.

I’ve been hooked on Peruvian food ever since I tried the Pollo a la Brasa at Takatis in Van Nuys. Lola’s is no where as good as Takatis. The chickens are smaller(I had ¼ dark meat and I barely had 4 bites of meat). The flavor is less intense. Since my meal was so-so, I treated myself to the Lucuma ice cream they sell — now that was good! I’ll stop by for ice cream in the future but skip the chicken.

The parking sucks, but the rotisserie chicken is RIDIC because of their flavorful hand rub with spices, and it’s roasted over a live flame and actual wood. SOLEGIT. I get a whole chicken for only $ 11.99 and split it with a friend usually. I don’t get the sides cause I don’t need the rice or beans or fries. Low carb life!

Whole chicken, deliciously spiced and roasted for maximum flavor. 2 sauces. I prefer the green sauce. Side of beans and rice — which are almost as good as the chicken. Really. Ceviche Mixto. Ample. Fish, octopus, calamari, mussels, shrimp. Potatoes, corn, red onion. Balanced. Flavorful. Light. All for about $ 30. Fed 3 adults with a bit of leftovers. Have been here numerous times and will keep coming. A value in the Valley. Can’t wait to visit PERU.

My ratings skyrocketed to 5 stars after trying their chicken. Their dry rub is amazing and it definitely showed. Then it dropped back down to 4 stars after trying their Lomo Saltado and Pollo Saltado. Way too much potato and barely any meat. It showed on the Shrimp Saltado too. Good place to go from group food too. $ 20 for a whole chicken plus 2 sides. $ 10 for half Chicken. A whole chicken will feed 3 big guys or 4 average people. They are the size of those costco or supermarket roterisrre chickens but much tastier. Location definitely had a small annoying parking lot but the actually restaurant was nice and quaint. Highly recommend their chicken. Don’t really recommend any of their Saltado’s

El mejor pollo a la brasa de Los Angeles. Visito este restaurante por lo menos una vez a la semana, el pollo es delicuous, las papas en su punto. Se los recomiendo a todos que buscan el autentico sabor del pollo a la brasa peruano.
