Okay let’s be real McDonald’s isn’t that great of a food place, but those chicken nuggets and french fries keeps us coming back to there locations. Well except for this one, man there staff is rude, unprofessional and hands down has to be the worst mcds I have ever been too. That goes for there managers as well. They always screw the order up, don’t give napkins, straws etc. They just plain suck. Keep in mind I live on the same street as this McDonald’s for crying out loud smh. When I’m in the mood for mcds I drive not a few houses down to eat but instead drive all the way to the one on kester/​victory or sepulveda/​Sherman way. Now that’s sad…

Ewwwww. This place was shut down by the health dept for no hot water and vermin. Yes vermin. This McDonald’s has the worst service and now we know worst hygiene.

Ok… heres the deal. Im not a fan of McDs in the least. Every now and then i will get a breakfast burrito or a Mcmuffin… and every blue moon ill crave a chicken wrap or something but i think their meat is disgusting. Theres something not right about it. So basically i give McDs a 1 or 2 star no matter where the location is. But this location is nothing special, the people are «whatever».
My 5 year old drags me here cause he loves to play in their play place. Id rather take him to Chuck E. Cheese (that shows you how much i hate McDs) so sometimes i will bring him here to burn some energy of its cold or rainy out. I cant believe some parents let their kids run around barefoot, which is sooooooooo disgusting, even when its rainy out, i basically lather my son up with hand santizer when we leave. I hate how the inside of the playplace is either freezing cold inside or hot and muggy as hell, i often have a headache while inside the playplace due to the humidity inside but nevertheless this McDs is «take it or leave it» in my opinion.
I think one thing that sucks is how u have to ask for ketchup, napkins, soda lids, straws ETC. Why? Why cant u put straws near the soda machines? Why do i have to wait in line to ask for a few extra napkins? Thats B.S. and dont tell me its cause of the kids from the schools that come over and make a mess because EVERY other fast food place has things out for the customers. McDs is the cheapest, stingiest fast food place on the planet… want a example? How often do you see McD coupons? I get tons from Jacks, Carls, BK, Arbys ETC.
On the plus size… i got a large plastic McDs cup last summer when they were $ 1 and i keep it in my car and bring it in so i always have free beverages when i come here. Ive probably saved a fortune on soda for me and my son… and because of the cheapness that is mcDs, i dont feel the least bad.
Oh yeah… thanks for NOT offering free wi-​fi, you cheap bastards. Ive seen hole-​in-​the-​wall mexican joints offer free wi-​fi to customers and yet a multi-​million dollar place like McDs can’t offer it. No way im paying $ 2.95 for wi-​fi. In fact i barelt get any type of internet cell signal inside McDs, i wouldnt be surprised if they installed some sort of invisable dome around the building so it would block outall signal so u HAVE to pay for it.

The absolute worst McDonald’s I have ever gone to. The employees are jerks, the food was old. I dont understand why you need to be so rude. When you are givin a job when you probably arent even legal

This location is disgusting, filthy, out of order, unpleasant, unethical, and infested with illogical employees’s who do not understand nor can comprehend basic English or mathematical skills. I’m upset at how the manager here is allowed to operate & run a company when she doesn’t know shit her self. I’ve witness hairs, and particles in the food of my own, family, and friends.
I’am so sick & tired driving pass, and seeing this store still open. The health department show have seen the awful acts of this place during their test. But I guess when you can flash money, then you can pretty much pay yourself out of any situation. This McDonald’s is also very racist & they bully the homeless individuals who humbly sit outside near the tree’s. I know & feed these homeless people who sit under the tree near Gault St. The McDonald’s manager & associates came outside & illegally painted the curb side RED to prevent them from parking their vehicles in which they consider their homes & told them that they were not welcome! I’ve seen this illegal act myself, and I’m going to take this up with City Hall. The city themselves DID NOT paint the curb in order to shine off the «homeless», so yes in all cases that was not right.
I hate this McDonald’s for multiple reasons. But the 1 that stuck out to me first was when they started picking on people who have no place else to go, or shade themselves from the heat, and also this McDonald’s refuses their services, and not allowing those terribly homeless people come inside to eat, or get a FREE cold cup of water. They were denied water in this triple digit heat wave we’ve been having these last couple weeks. So yes I boycott McDonald’s on Vose St & Van Nuys Blvd, and I will be forwarding this to the local news stations, their corporate offices, city hall, and the police department. This shit hole needs to be shut the fuck down. I NO LONGER SUPPORT NONE YOUR STORE’S MCDONALD“S.

This McDonald’s has the biggest play place I have seen, but it is really stinky and gamy inside the enclosed room. The wait is horrendous. They have two registers in the entire dining room and they only keep one open at any one given time. I saw 12 people wait in line for just one register! See my photo!

Was craving pancakes, so I did a quick stop here in the morning. I ordered a Frappé Mocha, for a caffeine & sugar boost, since I would be having a long day.
First of the drive-​thru cashier Diana didnt give me a total, she just kept silent, so I drive up to her window & she hands over my receipt so lean over to receive it and with the other hand she hands over the cup, straw, and the bag of my food. I tried to grab it but I am not left handed so in my intent of grabbing everything with my left hand, my grip only held on to the cup & straw, however there went the bag of my food to the floor. Meanwhile the cashier dissapears… so I opened my car door, grab the bag off the floor and left because there was nobody at the window.
I called the manager to ask if she can make sure the window is handled differently and her response was, «sorry that happened».
Honestly, I am not a difficult customer. I dont expect the royal treatment at McDonald’s but perhaps a courtesy response would be appreciated in the early morning. I am just saying.

I find myself at the dreaded McDonalds again for the sole purpose of entertaining my kids on a really hot day after already going to the park and bike riding.
We’ve been here a few times now, but I cringe every time we come. The restaurant is relatively clean and newish looking. The Play Place could use more attention to detail: garbage is always full, floor is covered with food, tables are littered and sticky from inconsiderate customers. The play area keeps the kids entertained, but many of the parents I see here have an «I don’t care attitude» in regards to cleanliness, rules and treating other customers with respect. PARENTS: Please keep your children’s socks ON and shoes OFF for everyone’s safety, cleanliness and fun in the Play Place! And PLEASE clean up after yourself! It’s so simple: You drop a piece of hamburger on the floor… pick it up! You spill ice cream on the table… wipe it up!
As a whole, the restaurant is just okay. The employees are presentable, but they don’t seem to enjoy their jobs or care about their customers much. I also loath fast food joints that don’t trust their customers with access to condiments, napkins, etc. It’s ridiculous to have to wait in line to ask for napkins just so you can clean a table for use.
The main dining room has bolted-​down chairs and tables for the employees’ convenience, not the customers. It makes it easier for them to clean and keep organized (no moving them), but it also makes it very hard to navigate through them! They’re pretty hard and painful when bumped into if you do try to get through to the soda fountain.
All in all, this is a fine place and the only McDonald’s around with an indoor, air-​conditioned Play Place. Just know what you’re getting yourself into… Enjoy!

I think 1 star is generous. This place has the worst service, is extremely slow and constantly screws up my order. About half the time they forget my order, and I have to remind them. Never go here!

Save yourself the trip and go to any other McDonalds in the area. This place has poor service, and they NEVER get your order right. They have no shame in selling you stale food. Craving McDonalds fries? Don’t go to THIS McDonalds. Everything sucks. Chicken Nuggets — stale. Burgers — stale. Everything sucks. I hope I save others from visiting this place. I’ve visited now 4 times (call me stupid) thinking there is NO way a palce called McDonalds could be so consistently bad. I now feel confident in writing this review. This place sucks.

I was greeted by a pregnant troll with a McDonald’s uniform. I asked for the #14 combo and she asked if I wanted to combo. STUPID!!!
I was then panhandled while eating by customers that were already eating. There was a lady who was consistently cleaning the lobby with a mop and it never helped. There was a fat gangbanger sitting next to me coughing and mumbling to himself.
As the lady was mopping, the stupid moms were bringing in their barefoot kids in the lobby and they were walking in that crap on the floor. Some people should really give their kids up for adoption!
This place sucks. It’s why they invented flame throwers, so you can enjoy eradicating dumps like this from the face of the earth. I hope McDonald’s corporate reads this review, buys a used WWII tank and rolls it right down Van Nuys Blvd until they flatten this hell hole!

Agreed — can’t get an order right if their life depended on it.
I ordered a honey mustard snack wrap grilled. I got a ranch wrap. Amazingly the chicken was grilled.
I also ordered a hot latte with sugar free vanilla. I got an iced coffee.
I ordered 2 items — only 2 items! And neither one was what I ordered!
Never set foot in this location.
Spend the $ 5 at Starbucks for your coffee. At least you know what you ordered is what you get.

When you read this review, you will never, EVER set foot at this location and wonder why the hell these people are allowed to handle food. I even went to the liberty of listing this location to warn Unilocalers as well as to anyone who reads this.
I’ve been to this location a few times in the three years since I’ve moved to LA. My friend was craving his mushroom swiss Angus burger and wanted me to stop by at a McDonald’s to get it. So I stopped at this location as it was on the way home and ordered some food. It was crazy that they would charge 4 bucks for an extra angus patty when the burger itself costed that much. Since my friend always gets an extra patty added to his burger, I ordered it for him.
When I got home, my friend opened up his burger and found a surprise. He called to me to take a look at it so I came over and he pointed out the dead bug in his burger. I do recall noticing the burger was way more greasy than usual as the grease seeped out of the burger and also seeped at the bottom of the bag. We took pictures of the burger with a serving of bug which looked to be a grasshopper. Unfortunately my photos didn’t come out super clear so when you see the photo, you would not really be able to notice it.
We called them and drove back to the location to get a refund. Yes the manager did offer to replace the food yet there was no way we would want to eat there again after what we seen. The following paragraph is the clincher as to why I would warn anyone to NOT eat there even if there is no place to eat in a million mile radius and your kid is dying of starvation.
When we brought back the burger, we also brought a magnifying glass so they can take a closer look at it. The manager showed the burger with bug to the employee who handles the food. SHE TAKES THE BUG OUT OF THE BURGER WITH HER BARE HANDS ALL IN VIEW OF THE MANAGER IN CHARGE!!! Other employees took a look at this curiosity piece and formed a small crowd behind the counter. There were people eating inside the place and yes children are eating there too.
This female employee must be used to being around bugs to be okay with handling it without gloves. After the show and tell with the angus burger with grasshopper, she did NOT wash her hands and still was handling food. While it was chicken and handled with tongs, you do NOT handle dead bugs with your bare hands let alone handle food afterwards. PLUS THE MANAGER SEEN HER HANDLE THE DEAD BUG WITH HER BARE HANDS AND DID NOT TELL HER TO PUT ON GLOVES OR WASH HER HANDS!!!
We were stunned seeing what we have seen at this place. This makes a roach coach look pristine compared to this place. While I am at it, I don’t think I’ve seen the LA county letter grade that is supposed to be shown at all places serving food. BTW, we didn’t take a bite of any of the food.
So if you like extra protein or want to try something «exotic», by all means eat there. However if you are like 99% of the people here, this is a place you would avoid at all costs.
