Tommy’s Original World Famous Hamburgers

Always great breakfast sandwiches freshly cracked egg very deliciously tasting sausage patty on an English muffin simply the best beats McDonald’s Jack-​in-​the-​Box any other place you can go to trust me try one of them you won’t be disappointed

You go to LA… you have to try Tommy’s. The chili burger was rockin and the chili and cheese on those fries? We loved it. Wish they had a location here in S. Philly.

I stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat. As I began to order my food the lady working drive thru had a terrible attitude as if she was bothered by me ordering food. I wish I would’ve just left at that moment because the food was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the money I spent. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

I really don’t get why this place is famous. They have a location right near where I work so I’ve tried them a few times. The chili is pretty much disgusting. There’s no sign of actual chili beans or any freshly chopped ingredients. Just a thin pudding of hamburger meat and chili flavoring. If you don’t eat your hamburger immediatley — well, even if you do — it may be soggy from the chili liquid. Also, the hot dogs get soggier even faster.
I started ordering their food without the chili — it’s actually pretty good. The fries though, are not. They are very thick and potato-​tasting, the opposite of McDonalds — probably healthier but not as good.

Best chili cheese burgers ever! I’m not really much of a carnivore but these burgers (along with in n out) are the only ones I crave. The pickles are mouth watering. Writing this review is making me hungry… dammit! Too bad I live 50+miles away.

Could’ve give it a 5 star the place and location was unpleasant looking feels like you went to a ghetto place but Chili double burger and chili fries was good! After the first one had to order a second more.

You can’t eat comfortably without being bothered by flies when you eat outside. They should make this place an indoor establishment to improve the dining experience at this location

When you are craving to cheat on your diet Tommy’s is there 24 hours a day. Went last night and there were 5 cars in the drive thru, but the workers were fast and got to us pretty fast. We got a triple cheese, hot gig and fries all with cheese and chilli. The chilli is so good… I bet you scrape it off the wrapper! Haven’t tried it yet, but they also have breakfast in the morning only.

Who doesn’t love a good burger from Tommy’s? I have to say though, that the chocolate shake was the winner here! Thick and frosty, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the double burger with cheese and fries. For a quick bite, Tommy’s always comes through!

The place is tiny but I’m giving it 5 stars for the Asian girl in the drive threw. She was super nice and bubbly and that made my experience there nice.

What a great place to have lunch today I wish luck to the new Jasmine on her first day and thanks again to the other jasmine for being such a pleasure to do business with it was very pleasant in these ladies made my lunch hour very nice everyone there was very nice and all had a smile it’s the little things in life that means so much

A-​OK. I work down the street so if i’m craving a burger this is really my only option unless I want to drive to mcdonald’s which i really don’t have the time for. The burger is okay the biggest problem is all the grease and the amount of stomach pain I endure after wards. The french fries are pretty solid though but as far as lunch goes this place is a once in a while spot, I think i rather stuff my face with them 7 eleven chili hot dogs next door.

Went when it was raining here in Cali. Haha i ordered the number 1. The double chese burger with fries and a largr coke. It was very good. They put alot of pickles just like i asked them. girl in the drive thru was very nice

Always open and the people are always friendly. They don’t have a big menu but everything on it is really good.

Everybody talked about this place like it was heaven on earth. Everybody was just raving about the chili. Well I’ve seen better chili and tasted better chili. The burger wasn’t even greasy. How can you boast to have one of the world’s greatest burger places and not have a greasy burger. I may come back again when I am drunk very very drunk.

NEVER AGAIN! I went late at night not knowing what else was open as I’m new to the neighborhood and saw it was 24hrs in passing through 7 – 11.
The employees were great.
The food? Not so much. My burger had a weird smell that I couldn’t get through even half of it, I think maybe the onions were bad? The chilli cheese fries were okay, but I was SO turned off by the burger my brain told me to perhaps quit with the fries.
Ugh! This morning I am so stomach sick. Total waste of 10 bux and I feel like ultimate crap!

Like most Tommy’s the employees are always friendly and courteous. This one has a tiny lot with 3 parking spots and a handicap spot. I’ll say they’re really fast though. I like the breakfast sausage egg and cheese sammy i order it with a hamburger bun and add a hamburger patty or i’ll order a cheeseburger and ask to have a fried egg added now that’s breakfast!

This Drive-​Thru is one of my Favorites, it’s open ²⁴⁄₇. I like the Chili they use for their Burgers and French Fries and the prices are reasonable

After a busy drive from Santa Barbara, watching Anchorman 2, and just being very hungry from randomness, I was looking for something quick to eat. With today being Christmas, I didn’t have a lot of options of places closed, but I didn’t want to go to McDonald’s because WHY?! So, I thought about getting something with chili from Tommy’s Original World Famous Hamburgers in Van Nuys.
Before moving from Van Nuys, I had never visited the Van Nuys’ Tommy location ever. Based off the other reviews, this is a haven from those inebriated nights. Located on the north side of Victory and Vesper. You’ll see a small little shack on the corner across 7-​Eleven. This location looks very ghetto, but it wasn’t meant to be classy looking. When you walk in, don’t expect too much. Its a small confined space. There is a sign that notifies customers that the restrooms are not available to the customers or transients.
I don’t frequent Tommy’s often, but I have visited Tommy’s more than twice in the last month. Last time I ordered a greasy Breakfast Burrito, now its time to order a Greasy Chili Dog without cheese ($ 2.75) and French Fries ($ 1.85). There was a lot of people at the drive-​thru. I don’t blame them. It seems like its a safer way to get food than to walk in. For me, it was 4pm and still a lot of sunshine.
I got my Christmas Gift from Tommy’s with a lot of chili on my hot dog and the employee wanted to give me some peppers, but I declined… lol. It was pretty warm outside and I don’t want to get TOO HOT. I brought my food to my safe haven vehicle. I did notice a lot of the cars did park next door with me. So, I felt safe with others digging into their food. I liked how Tommy’s puts a lot of extra chili and is a big plus for the customer. More food for the price. My chili dog was extremely loaded with chili and covered with pickles and tomatoes. Occasionally, I would dip my fries in and make my own chili fries.
After my meal was said and done, so were the others. It was like they needed the safety of Ryan before leaving the parking lot to throw their trash. I feel trashy already for eating this, but when the stomach and mind made up their mind, you fulfill it. Well, Merry Christmas to my stomach :)
