Fabulous food. So nice to know that Venice has an authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown. The cuisine was amazing. A very impressive wine list. Great to sample a good Sangiovese or Montepulciano while scanning the menu. We started off with the INSALATAMADEINITALY. Delsih and Fresh! Our entrees were: PACCHERICONGAMBERETTI, PESTODIZUCCHINE, E PACHINI, from the specials — POLPOINSALSADIPOMODORO, REGINAMARGHERITA and CALZONENAPOLETANO… all FRESH, AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS! Would have given them 5 stars, but it took forever to put in our order and also to get our bill.

I know the owner Peppe since he used to make great pizzas at Epicure in Sarasota, town where once every 1 – 3 years I go to work for a few weeks. I was at Made in Italy in 2013 last time and it was spectacular pizza. Pizza is one of those things that for a native Italian like me is especially good when it’s made like back in Italy. It’s a pleasure to drive from Sarasota to Venice just for an authentic Italian pizza. The place was packed and apparently it’s always packed, which can be slightly annoying, but hey, fame and good food brings that! Pizza at Made in Italy, from the dough, the amount of sauce, cheese and all the ingredients made and combined is REALLY very good. We were 3 and ordered a «yard» pizza of 3 combined. My favorite is the«Made in Italy» pizza. I would have given a 5 stars, but the pizza didn’t arrive peeping hot, which is the ONLY way a pizza should get to the table… I don’t know if it was an accident just because the place was quite full, and at that point we had waited too long to send it back and ate it. But apart from this little disappointment, it was delicious!

They are extremely busy every single night, I won’t wait more than 30 mins though. Staff is attentive and friendly. The bartenders are excellent! They know what they’re doing and they execute quickly… the bar is very busy. I like to sit in the back sort of outside. They are doing something right b/c the 3 other restaurants next door and across the street are sadly empty while Made in Italy has customers pouring in. I would love to eat at the others but they just don’t deliver the quality as Made in Italy or San Marco

I brought to owners attention and he was rude almost like it was our fault. First bad experience here and won’t be returning.

Given mixed reviews we had reservations about dining here but glad we did. Our waiter Jorge was very helpful about suggestions and descriptions. He was both attentive and courteous. My wife and I had a salad with beef Cappuccio and half rigatoni seafood combo. The beef was ages end to perfection and the seafood was fresh with delicate spices. The pasta was freshly made. It seems like the owners are stepping up well beyond the pizza and typical«red sauce» menu and this is welcome. I understand that this is a recent effort which may explain past reviews. We look forward to coming back.

I can only assume the previous high ratings are from diners that ordered pizza. My party of five all ordered entrees which were all disappointing. The dishes were bland and the sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee. Nothing seemed very fresh and it was all flavorless. The bar drinks were not crafted very well, the waitress was not attentive and didn’t speak clear enough for us to even understand the evening’s specials. I was very disappointed, the previous reviews are good and the restaurant is very esthetically pleasing so I expected more.

Great overall experience! Nice location and priced right. Our server was great. We went with the dinners instead of the pizza but we will be back for that as well. My daughter had the spaghetti and meat balls. She could not stop eating. I had the dodge with the sausage. The bomb and my wife had the dish with the prechutto. Also very good. We had the app that is made in the brick oven and the flavored where amazing. We will be back.

My family of five and I tried to dine here. There was not a single person inside for lunch. We were not greated with a smile or a friendly hello. When we asked for a table for five we received eye rolling and were told we would have to eat at two different tables. We obviously wanted to sit together. Another server came over and began to move a table and the female server said well no we are going to be busy and not to move the table. This went on for an awkward 2 – 3 minutes of us just standing there. At this point we decided to eat elsewhere. They obviously did not want our business. The female server then became very smart and rude with us.

Very good pizza — the margherita regina was delicious and very fresh-tasting. Our waiter recommended a prosciutto-wrapped brie appetizer and it was yummy too. Definitely a thumbs-up.

We just had a pizza and nothing else. It was good, but nothing to write home about. I was going to order a cocktail but they were all $ 10 each. I passed. Service was ok. The waiter acted disappointed that we didn’t spend more, but we just wanted a quick lunch. By the way, the pizza did come out quick.

Easily my favorite place in Venice. The food is amazing and I have tried pretty much everything. Very fresh, tasty, done perfect. My folks live 10 minutes from Venice and this is our go to place when the fiancé and I visit. Justino is an excellent manager/waiter. The bar and ambiance is awesome and unique. Its a mix of modern and classic italy. My favorite is the octopus salad and any of the pizzas. The gnocchi is also to die for. I will continue coming here as long as they are there. P. s. I am from North Jersey/NYC so I know good italian from nonsense italian and this is GOODITALIAN!!! BONAPPETITEANDTHANKMELATERAFTERYOUGOANDSALIVATEFORDAYS.

Awesome food and spectacular service! Coming from CA, our Italian restaurants there can learn from this place! Homemade pastas and oven brick thin crust pizzas made by the yard!

Margherita pizza is ok. I also had the sausage risotto which had lots of flavor, but nothing to write home about. The place has 2 separate indoor seating areas and outdoor seating. Waitstaff is attentive yet not overbearing. I dont know what their signature dish is. maybe ill go with that next time.

If there was a 3.5 star option, I probably would’ve chosen that. But great service meant that I rounded up instead of down. We came here for a late lunch and had a pretty good time! The atmosphere is really cool. The building was decorated with a super hip but very practical approach. Comfortable chairs and tables — definitely the sort of place you could spend a couple hours with friends. The food was… decent. I’ve certainly had a better pizza and calzone, but for the price it was a great value. They do a pizza by the yard here(yes, you read that correctly), but we were much too timid to try and tackle it! I had the calzone, picture to follow. The service was great. Our server’s name was Sandra and she was super friendly. The rest of the staff seemed a little standoffish, but there again it’s not the end of the world. The menu was a little odd. We were served a very nice house-made ciabatta bread, but were told that there was no butter in the house. Also, the substitutions were limited. All-in-all, a great lunch value. We will likely return again when we are in the area!

I would give their customer service one star. The only reason it’s three stars is because their pizza was so delicious. My boyfriend and I came in on a Friday at 3pm. There were maybe a total of six tables taken, but after being seated by the host, we were not greeted by anyone. It took at least five minutes for our host to make his rounds to notice we had not been served. He offered to get our drink order and take our order until our so-called waitress Justyna was coming – we never saw her. We ordered a fresca pizza(mozzarella, speck, cherry tomatoes, and arugula) and attempted to order gnocci. However he told us that they had run out. So we asked him to give us another minute. Another five minutes passed and we still were not greeted by anyone… which was so confusing because there were so many workers walking around the restaurant or talking to a guy that seemed to be a regular. We felt that it was difficult to discern between busboys and waiters. Finally we just sucked it up and asked someone for our bread basket. Maybe no one wanted to serve us because we didn’t seem rich. Who knows. We just know that the workers went out of their way to make conversation with the guy in the corner while we were completely neglected. Finally the host came back to take our additional order and informed us that now our waitress was Patricia. Okay… This host seemed like the only one who cared about us. So we didn’t expect Patricia to come anyway. We ordered the pasta special for the day(Bucatini with cotechino sausage, tomatoes, onions and Pecorino Romano cheese). We finally got our bread basket with olive oil and balsamic. And to top off their fantastic service, my boyfriend found a bug in his water. Yes… took a while and two random servers to replace it. Then we got our pizza and it was fantastic! Chewy and crispy crust and such a bright, rich flavor! Yuuuum. Pasta was yummy – but not worth $ 19, which was more than our $ 15 pizza. Our total was around $ 33. Pizza was worth it. The overpriced pasta and service? Not so much.

While visitng some friends out of town, this place was so good, we went here twice! The restaurant’s staff os friendly, great at explaining all specials(including the items we were unsure of), and the food was to die for! The first time I had the Insalata di parma and hubs had the Tartufella pizza… amazing! The second time I had the Amalfi salad and hubs had the Made in Italy pizza. Very consistent, amazing flavor! We will definitely be back when we’re in the area!
