I found this neighborhood place when visiting from out of town it was everything I expected and then some. I had the breakfast burrito with a fruit cup and I believe it would have been a healthy choice had I saved half for lunch. Even though the place was busy with a short wait our waitress Stacey was very attentive and gave us excellent service.

The food was great! Truly homestyle! We came in for breakfast and noticed they have beer on tap. We will defiantly be back sometime to try their dinner menu!

Heavy on the grease diner food. Menu is limited and actually a tad high priced for what you get. You’ll find nothing healthy here. Our waitress was too busy trying to be the center of attention by singing loudly to the entire café rather than ask how our food was or refill drinks. By the time she got around to giving us our bill it was also too late to correct the mistakes she’d made. Although we ordered what we wanted we saw on the order slip she eventually attached to the bill that she’d actually written down different items(it was clear she wasn’t paying attention to what we were saying,) so that’s why we didn’t get what we ordered. That wasn’t the kitchen’s fault. Two stars means«I’ve had better,» and we most certainly have. Had thought about rating this place just one star because of how ill we felt afterwards, but we suspect it was just an overage of oil that did us in. If grease is what you want and are used to, then go for it.

I normally don’t frequent restaurants like Shamrock Café because the menu is boring. My husband and I had lunch there yesterday and it was very good. Took another couple there this morning for breakfast and I had their pumpkin pancake. It was very good. If you like good old fashion hearty food this is the place to go. The wait staff is very friendly. Chrisie was our waitress, friendly and a sense of humor. We will be back as we live here year round and will go often.

One of my go to places when I don’t know what I want. I love the Friday night fish fry. Wait staff knows it’s regulars as evidenced by having our beverages on the table as we sit down. Burgers are also good and love their breakfasts. Witnessed a very rude customer giving staff a hard time and the waitress was professional and kind. I know she got stiffed in her tip but she handled it well. So glad this place is making it when the 3 previous places all lasted less than a year here.

We had been looking forward to eating at the Shamrock Café since reading the reviews, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is very clean, the waitress was super attentive, and the food was very good. I had the breakfast BLT with home fries, and my husband had the meat lover’s omelet. We enjoyed the meal, and will definitely go back again.

I really like this place. I have never had a bad meal here. It is a small and busy place. The wait staff is always friendly, which is always a good thing. It can be a wait getting your food sometimes, busy or not, but the staff always lets you know that it is coming up next. I never feel ignored when I come here and I always clean my plate, because it is good food. But be warned, if you come on the day they are having the liver and onions special, eww, it will be packed. Just a nice little place.

This has become one of our favorite eateries in Venice. Small and friendly with great food. Even if you have to wait a bit for a table, it is worth it.

We are year around folks and have seen a number of different owners in this location. Shamrock is outstanding as you will note because you may have to wait to get seated. It matters not if it is breakfast, lunch or dinner the meals are great and the prices are reasonable. Waitress are friendly and professional.

Yum! Stopped here on our way to the beach. At first was a little leary because it looks homey. But we loved the Irish theme and the food was delicious. I got the Irish french toast and could only finish half of it. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito but it was more like a wrap –which he actually preferred. It looked really good too. We are really happy with the prices, too. $ 21 for two breakfasts, coffee, tea and oj.

Such a lovely neighborhood restaurant! Everyone who works there is cheerful. I had a fried cod sandwich, which came with homemade tartar sauce. It was huge, fresh, and delicious. My husband had a turkey wrap special with homemade cranberry sauce and stuffing on it… Mmmm. Great fries, cole slaw, macaroni salad, and you get a ridiculous amount of quality food for the money. If we get a chance to go back before we leave town, I want to try the key lime pie.

My family had been customers here every Saturday for about 2 months. And being vegetarian in a restaurant with little to no vegetarian dishes sometimes we have to be creative. Most restaurants are more than accommodating and will go out of their way especially if the menu is lacking non-meat and/or non-fish choices. My mother ordered a grilled cheese on 5 grain bread with tomato and mayo every time we ate here. One night our waitress came out after had ordered, slammed our drinks down and said«this is the last time we are making this for you.» It was humiliating, embarrassing and rude. If there was a problem with making the sandwich the problem should have been addressed the day we ordered it. Even then if the owner had a problem with us ordering it it would have been a little more professional to deal with the problem face to face rather than sending an employee out to be as rude as she was about it. We will never return but that goes with out saying. I’m giving this place one star because this incident ruined the whole experience for me. Before this incident I would give this establishment 3 stars. An average rating for mediocre food, bellow average customers service, and lack of flexibility in the already lacking menu.

This is a very busy café, be sure to go early! My two brothers-in-law and I go every Thursday between 11 and 11:45am(guess that we might be considered regulars). By the time that we leave, the place is packed! This is a locals place, it is a couple of minutes off 41 on Shamrock. The staff is friendly and you will usually hear them greet at least a couple of customers by name during your meal. You don’t do the kind of business that they do with area residents if:(a) your food is not consistently good or(b) you are over charging. I can honestly say that I do not remember being disappointed with the food. Not that I’m saying it hasn’t happened(I sure that it has), it just is so rare that I don’t remember. I also don’t remember leaving hungry, that I would remember! I have had lunch with my brothers-in-law there, then went to dinner there with my wife. It is a 20 minute drive each way for us and we pass a ton of places to eat along US41, having eaten at most of them over the years. But sometimes you just feel like having what the Shamrock Café has to offer.

Fresh liver, onions and bacon with a baked potatoes!!! Nothing better, great atmosphere, excellent service, cannot wait to go again. There are so many other things I want to try: Southwestern Chicken, Chili Cheese Fries, Turkey Dinner. Large variety of salads, homemade soups, and the prices are so reasonable. Call for reservations! It gets busy.

Great service. It was full but we were given seats at the bar. You can make reservations ahead of time. Good food. Got the fish fry and it was only $ 9. Dad wasn’t crazy about the grouper that was $ 17. House beer on tap is only $ 1 for ten ounce or $ 1.60 for a pint. I’ll definitely go back.

During our roadtrip through Florida my girlfriend and me discovered this nice café in Venice. As the name suggestes the interior looks very irish. Just the interior because the menu implys american dishes. Recommended in different blogs we tried the breakfast. And It was tasty, a typical american breakfast(Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs et cetera) for low prices and the service was polite and friendly. Thumbs up!

If your looking for a great café off the beaten path in a great neighborhood look no further. This is by far the best family owned, friendly place. If anyone has given less then 5 Stars for this gem they it’s them not the place. I have been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never had a bad meal or service.

Had breakfast with friend ordered Belgium waffle with apples, cinnamon, and whipped cream. Waffle was light and crispy… very good. Friend ordered cranberry walnut pancake, eggs & toast & remarked her food was very good. Variety of menu selections, clean, and friendly staff. Nice to have a neighborhood bar in Venice. Have returned 3 different times, consistently good. Cheeseburger platter good, eggplant fries. Entertainment Saturday night(female singer).
