Loved the food… curried chicken and cuban sandwich were excellent !!

Highly recommend if you are in Venice, FL you visit the Suncoast Café located in the Venice Municipal Airport, on Airport Avenue E. Summer hours are 7:30 — 2pm closed on Tuesday. Don’t think because it’s located in the airport building it won’t be welcoming. It is the friendliest little restaurant with the BEST food in Venice, FL. We had lunch, but so many have recommended their breakfast. Chef Tony has the personality it takes to run a business, we find that owners that interact with their customers always have the best food and people tend to return. Kellen cooks along side Tony, and Lacey our waitress has personailty plus. I had the Cuban, and hubby had the Reuben, then we tasted each others. We told her it was our first time there so she brought out small servings of mushroom soup, conch soup and Tony’s chili. I should have taken pictures of the soup samples, but we gobbled them down quickly. All were delicious, I’m having the chili on our next visit. Chef Tony is from St. Lucia, in the Caribbean.

Suncoast Café is a delightful dining destination. My husband and I frequently drive from Sarasota for breakfast. We love their omelets and the local Venetian Coffee. Tony and his staff are friendly, attentive, and efficient. There can be a line in season on weekends, but the time flies by watching planes and sipping courtesy coffee.

Love this place! Tony makes you feel at home. Love the vibe! Try the St. Lucian, fantastic.

The best breakfast dishes on Venice Island hands down! The atmosphere is awesome, like we’re in the Caribbean!

If you are a pilot, this is a great airport café for a meal. On the field, no parking fee if you visit, great food and great service. Have not had a bad meal yet and I have been eating here more than seven years.

We love the omelets at this place! Great service, excellent, fresh ingredients. We had the Mexican omelet with jalapeños and a ham/​tomato omelet. Both were great, and do was the Venice coffee and raisin toast!

My husband chose this place after a visit to the beach. He had read the great reviews about the chili. We were driving through Venice on our way to Tampa from Miami, and wanted to have lunch. When we drove up I was very apprehensive about the place as it’s in an airport. What a fantastic meal! The kids had burgers which were all great! We ordered some chili to try and it definitely lives up to the great reviews and awards! One of our teens had the Rueben sandwich which was excellent! I had the Mahi Rueben which was out of this world! What a wonderful Caribbean twist to the Rueben! We also had the chili fries and onion rings. Everything was fantastic! On the way out we noticed they had curry goat as a special and we took one to go. Wow! Wow! Wow! Took me back to St Lucia! That’s where the chef and owner is from. Very nice man. Goes around talking to the guests. You can see the small private planes taking off and landing. Great place and hope to make it back one day!

The Suncoast Café did not disappoint, the food was delicious. Tony is an awesome cook

Came here twice during our vacation. Great spot. Got the stuffed French toast for breakfast, which was awesome. Don’t need syrup with that one. The caramelized fruit with it was delicious. I had the Cuban with sweet potato fries for lunch. That was also awesome.
The place has a diner vibe but with reggae music playing and Bob Marley quotes on the wall. Our servers were great, Demetrios was super nice and helpful.
I definitely recommend this interesting place that is ON THE RUNWAY.

Tony is a godsend to Venice. This little hidden gem is to not be missed. Something as quick and easy as a club sandwich and homemade chips always tastes better at Suncoast Café. I kept coming in and ordering the club sandwich and Tony kept pushing the Cuban on me and I kept saying «next time». Well next time as come and I don’t believe I have ever had a better Cuban. My wife enjoys his chili and various other soups and chowders. Couldn’t have found a better Café with excellent staff.

Cannot believe it’s taken me this long to return to this fabulous restaurant right by Venice Airport.
Anyway, of course I ordered that FANTASTIC Cuban Sandwich with fries as a side, was waited on efficiently by Carrie, but I just have to mention DIMITRI here, because this young man, who had not seen me in all these months, came over, remembering not only my name, my birthday and where I sat the last time I was here!!!
If that does not blow your mind, I don’t know what will. Friendliest staff, best food… yes, I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ONE AND ALL!!!

Can’t beat the Suncoast Café at Venice Airport. If I didn’t live so close by, I’d fly a hundred miles for this food.

A great small place to grab everything from soup and a sandwich to their main specials, including a stuffed calamari with crab cake (pictured). It was absolutely delicious. Others had sandwiches as well, and no complaints.

Best kept secret in Venice… I’m sure the owner hopes that is not the case. This place had the best breakfast I’ve had in years. It was so good we went back the next day, missed breakfast and discovered their lunch was just as delicious. I had the Cuban sandwich and my other half had the Reuben, unbelievable !!

Best breakfast I have had in a long time. The breakfast Cuban was out of this world. Coffee is from Venetian and it was very good as well. Very friendly staff if back down in the area I will eat here hear again.

Would’ve never spotted this place, so thank you sweet Baby Jesus for Unilocal!Called in to order the blackened tilapia sandwich with sweet potato fries. Seriously amazing. My only regret is not asking about the specials menu when I called, because I was so bummed to see they had conch chowder. Seriously, who has conch chowder north of key west these days?! Tiny, quaint spot located in the airport hidden off the main path, but definitely worth it. I can’t wait to work in this area again, because I’ll be back! PS– the breakfast menu looked delish and the lady eating at the counter said breakfast is to-​die-​for.

The only negative is the size of the location. If it were bigger it will fill up easily. Best cornbeef hash I have ever had!

Food was fabulous, atmosphere is great (reggae music in the morning makes my day), and the people here are AWESOME! This is just a few minutes from the beach and the kids loved watching planes take off while we waited. Highly HIGHLY recommended!
