After reading reviews we were looking forward to eating here. The restaurant was full at lunch time and meals were coming out at a snails pace. We waited 50 minutes for our food. The grilled roast beef was greasy, the French fries tasted like they’d been cooked in days old oil, and the salad was ordinary. Very disappointing.

Ate breakfast there last Saturday. Just had a large order of pancakes since it was national pancake day. They were huge and cooked to perfection. The service was top notch and my coffee cup was never empty. And by the way I couldn’t clean my plate and I could not tell you the last time that happened!

It may look small and unappealing at first but this restaurant is truly great! Very nice waiter and chef — cute place. The food was great — loved the pancakes! Big and fluffy — they also have peanut butter chip pancakes! First breakfast place that I’ve been to to have that. Overall, while it may be small try it out!

Are you looking for a great local breakfast spot? Be sure to check out Flapjacks on Venice Avenue. There’s nothing fancy about this place, but the good food and friendly atmosphere will draw you back. It’s quickly becoming a favorite for me and my family.
