I went for drive thru, the food was so awful that I felt like eating food that is some centuries old.

Did you know that kfc has a buffet along with their delicious chicken? It’s s fantastic and tasty value. I’m so glad we tried it and we will go there again soon. Thank you.

Seems to be a large spread on the buffet which our family hasn’t eaten. Always use the drive thru. Always asked to pull up to wait and its always a long wait. Standard response we are asked to wait 20 min. Most times I have had to go in because they don’t bring it out. Order has been completely wrong or missing items. Packing is horrible with gravy spilling all over. We have had to double check and seal the gravy before leaving since we have had it everywhere when getting home. When I’ve gone in to correct the order everyone is lost and has no idea what they are doing. I suspect there is little training and there seems to be a constant turnover of employee’s. Like KFC Chicken, wish there was another in the area to go to.

As the rating suggestion says right next to the stars, «A-OK!» Looking at the previous reviews below, I might reconsider coming here again, even though my experience here was not bad at all. Except the food is what you’d find at a below average buffet. Quite clean, and upkept, and they replenish their buffet pretty quickly. The location is also pretty nice, so that helped bump up my rating. Plenty of parking, and located near several shopping locations, which is a plus. Needless to say, i’m not a fan of KFC-anything, but this was a good experience overall.

Unbelievably terrible service. My friends and I came here for lunch release, which is 50 minutes and plenty of time to sit down and eat. We waited at least 15 minutes«in line» to be helped with only one customer in front of us. The employees were most definitely on some drug. The woman rudely took my and my boyfriends order and then walked away and wandered around the kitchen for a good amount of time. She came back to take my friends order and left again without charging him. I made several remarks on the amount of time it was taking and was ignored. We took our food to go and eat in the car, and it was cold!!! The sandwiches had not been toasted at all. We were in the store for 40 minutes and late back to school. Ridiculous, have not and will not return.

I treat myself to the buffet here every once in awhile when I’m in the area. For a KFC with an $ 7 w/drink all you can eat buffet in the corporate districts it ranges from almost empty to about 8 people every time I visit. Other reviewers say food is always out, but that’s never been the case with me and my friends. Whenever food in the buffet runs out it’s replaced within 5 minutes, usually with something different for variety. The buffet consists of a lot of things. They’ve got grilled, fried chicken(mild or spicy), potatoes, corn, gravy, peach cobbler, spaghetti, stuffing, salad bar, biscuits, fruit bar w/peaches and other fruit, dipping sauces, mac ‘n’ cheese, scalloped potatoes, pudding(vanilla or chocolate), banana pudding w/wafers, different soups, etc. It’s not even things on the KFC menu, but stuff they usually cook at home and just threw it on the buffet menu(at least that’s what I think.) As for the food quality I’d say it’s below par for KFC. The chicken is especially a disappointment. For some reason on the fried chicken here there’s a lot of fat and half-cooked breading that you have to deal with(I usually just pick around it) which is weird. The chicken, fried and grilled, especially grilled is pretty damn dry as well. Potatoes, gravy, and definitely the spaghetti are disappointing as well. The deserts however are surprisingly delicious, albeit most of them aren’t even sold by KFC, so I’m assuming its their own recipes or recipes from the southern KFC franchises(which is where the buffet is common.) The service is great, everyone is friendly and people come to wipe down the tables regularly. The place is pretty clean as well for a KFC, nothing is broken and no gang signs carved into the chairs or tables which is a plus. I definitely would say at least try it out every once in awhile for a treat. I mean who can beat a $ 7KFC buffet that’s open all day? That’s a dream for most people in America. Just make sure to post your reviews to get them to up the food quality.

Can I give zero stars??? I would. I’m not proud to say I’ve been here multiple times in the 12 months +/-. Every time I see the manager who obviously HATES and I mean HATES his job. He is not friendly or courteous and has no business dealing with the public. And I’ve also seen him treat employees with very little patience while they are in training. I wish the owner or corporate would do something because in general I like KFC’s food, especially more than others like Popeye’s. I won’t eat their chicken. I have ate inside and gone through the drive thru and all experiences are relatively disappointing to the same degree. The customer service is lacking from all-probably because they have a manager who wouldn’t know good customer service if it but him in the butt. The food is sometimes only warm and not served as hot as I believe it should be and certainly not in an appetizing view. I don’t think I’d touch the buffet cuz it’s not good the yummy food or its filled with items like lettuce that are cheap to keep their overhead down. Again it’s rare if ever I get a smile and thank you please come again. They should learn why the McDonald’s drive thru right next door is always packed. Sad that I can say someone can’t meet the standards of a typical McDonald’s. Only go here if u really crave the food and can deal with supporting a paycheck to a grumpy manager who should’ve been replaced LONGAGO!

Probably the worst drive thru service I’ve ever had. I waited 7 minutes at the mic. The girl who was on the mic forgot to turn it off and was laughing and cracking jokes while I was trying to get her attention. I ended up driving up to the window and asking for the manager. Turns out it WAS the manager who was on mic. Had to wait forever to get the food and they messed the order up. Very disappointing.

This location needs a new manager. Every time here, they claim they are OUT of what you want, including chicken. I just read the other reviews and see other people saying the same thing, so it’s not just me, and not just once or twice this happens, but all the time. Another review here says the manager said something about it coming soon on a truck, and that’s the same BS I was told too! There was another KFC location that had service this bad, in Palatine, and it went out of business and is no longer there. The same is going to happen to this location, unless the corporate office finds out and is going to get a new manager in there to shape things up and start getting things in stock.

I couldn’t believe it! I go in at 7:15 on a Tuesday night and they have no regular or extra crispy breasts and they weren’t cooking any more. And they wonder why they are going out of business. I’ll never go back.

I had never been to this location before, so I decided to give it a try one day. I ordered chicken strips via the drive thru. After I had paid and my food was ready, I asked for a couple different dipping sauces. I was told that they were out of absolutely everything except ranch dressing. I wasn’t happy(I take my dipping sauces very seriously), but I took the ranch dressing. When I got home, I discovered that the chicken was very dry and tasted funny(like it was old), and the ranch dressing didn’t even taste right, either. I understand that KFC isn’t exactly gourmet, but I’ve been to other KFC locations before, and I don’t remember the chicken ever being that bad – and none of them were ever out of any dipping sauces, either. I won’t be returning to this location.

Worst KFC drive thru, worst than the MIlwaukee Wisconsin one that has a bullet proof glass window. 1. We repeated our order 3 times at drive thru. 2. We pulled in cash window and the chick asked us «what did u order?» So we repeated again for fourth time. 3. Pulled up a little to wait for our order then the car behind us got their order before us and we have to drive out the drive thru to let the car behind us go. We went to store screaming at them and the chick asked us again what did u order again. They gave the order to the wrong car. Huge mess!!!

We have been here several times and while the food is not great on the buffet the chicken is the same as taking it out and they recently started to put the grilled out as well. On the most recent visit, we were extremely disappointed: –Less choices. — No chicken legs at all — No biscuits — No fountain drinks. They ran out. The manager says they were waiting on the truck and he would be happy to sell us a 2 liter bottle even though we had already paid for the fountain. When I told him he should give us it since we already paid, he rolled his eyes. I will definitely think twice before going to this location even though it has been a decent value for what you get. But, when you cannot rely on consistency, one has to reconsider the perceived value. Hopefully, the corporate office can clean up this location as there definitely is a management issue here.

i’m not too proud to admit my heart leapt when i heard there was a kfc with a buffet. apparently this is very common in the south, and they’re big down there too. alas, this is was not what i expected. maybe i expected too much — images of vats of corn, and gravy, and cheese, and other makings of a famous bowl danced in my head. there was no corn or popcorn chicken! there is a tiny salad bar with some wilted lettuce, but an impressive array of toppings like egg, dressings, beets, jalapenos(the pickled, crunchy kind yessss) and other things you can expect. but no one goes to kfc for the salad, i’m sure. for entrees, there was grilled, extra cripsy, and grilled. these were great when they came out fresh. something gross was the pasta in a white sauce concoction that looked like it was from the day before. by the time we left, they had changed it to mac and cheese. there was also fried okra, but they weren’t very good. basically, come here expecting a regular kfc meal, rather than the smörgåsbord i had deluded myself into believing could exist.(I’ve only been to kfc maybe three times in my entire life, but i think i still know what you can expect.) oh and it’s just under six dollars after tax, so a great deal if you’re going anyway. all this to say — three stars because you get what you expect.

Yes, this is perhaps the last-standing KFC with the well-kept secret that is the $ 5 buffet. Seriously, I don’t know why it isn’t more packed. Not that I’m complaining, that just means more chicken for me. Now if they only offered fried mushrooms. Mmmm.

Buffet here! Who knew ? The new BBQ grilled box meal for $ 5 is just right for a child. Advertising misrepresents the chicken on so many levels. Chicken is dry and some of the pieces like for instance the wing are so tiny! BBQ sauce? Hardly. One needs something to save the meal; the biscuit(decent) and Cole slaw are the only options. I’m still hungry after having it and usually I’ll eat a small meal. How disappointing. This location looks like a new restaurant or its been recently remodeled.

All you fried chicken buffet lovers who are still mourning the demise of the KFC on Rand Road in Lake Zurich, take heart. There is plenty o’ chicken goodness for you if you feel like driving up to Vernon Hills! Yes folks, the KFC in Vernon Hills, practically next door to the lovely Cuneo Museum and Gardens has an all you can eat chicken buffet. For the dirt-cheap price of $ 5.49 you can ingest all that greasy finger-lickin’ goodness to your heart’s content! They got both original AND extra crispy so everyone is happy. Plus they have some yummy sides including a small(and I mean SMALL) salad bar with cold food items, and most of the hot sides that are offered on the regular menu. Personally it’s all about the chicken and if you eat at least three pieces with a bit of sides you get more than your money’s worth. If you eat more than three pieces, don’t complain to me about the tummy ache you are going to get tonite: P. Oh…drinks are extra but refills are free so be cheap like me and get the smallest one they have, your wallet will thank you(and me) later!

You’ll never believe this, but this particular KFC has a lunch buffet! It is like any other KFC and would get 3 stars to reflect it, but $ 7 gets you lunch and a drink. Can’t decide if you want your chicken regular or extra crispy? Have both! What about the sides? Have them all!
