I ate there once on a business trip. Awesome food, and great prices. The service was good too. I agree with others that this is by far my favorite sub shop I’ve ever eaten at.

very good sub. They are known for the roast beef, but this is not the best sub they have in my humble opinion. Try the tuna sub toasted with butter. I shit you not this is hands down the best tuna sandwich I have ever had. They have multiple locations and I was put onto the tuna sub while working in Henrietta. No matter which location you go to the food is same same. TUNA, TUNA, TUNA. I have put a bunch of people onto this sandwich. I dont know what they are doing to this stuff but its like fishy crack.

They make my favorite sub. Love their roast beef and you can get your bread buttered and toasted, giving it kind of a grilled cheesy taste. I’ve never had bad service, though some visits are better than others. Some of the employees(generally the younger ones) are hardly polite, let alone friendly, though there are some here who seem to take customer service seriously. I haven’t had them just straight out ignore me or be rude, though, which sometimes seems a lot to ask. The prices are fairly reasonable(similar to Dibella’s or other sub places), and you get three size choices for subs, plus there are small sandwich options. Their roast beef is the star — freshly sliced and sometimes even a tad bloody, if you’re into that. They also have soups(their corn chowder is my favorite), cookies, large and small bags of chips, pickles, a variety of fountain and bottled drinks(Hank’s, Arizona, Body Armor, juices) and $ 1.00 bags of day-old bread. Mostly standard stuff, but Amiel’s is still my first choice when it comes to subs.

By far my fav sub shop. Bread is incredibly soft. Even the day old bread is still soft! And yes they do sell day old bread! I love their smoked turkey. Thinly sliced and moist. Condiment selection is good. I wish they had different types of cheese though.

Love their bread and the subs are good but the attitude and service in Victor is bad. Was over charged today and they didn’t put a cookie I paid for in the bag. Please give someone a «free» cookie on me. See you in Henrietta, maybe

This is far and away my favorite sub shop ANYWHERE. I don’t live in the area anymore, but whenever I come to town Amiel’s is a must eat. I grew up going to the Henrietta location, but now usually frequent Victor just because it’s closer to my family. What makes Amiel’s the best, you ask? The bread, the ultra shredded lettuce, the italian dressing, and the quality of the meat. I usually get the Turkey or chicken salad but in recent years the chicken salad has been a little too heavy on the pepper. Try getting the bread buttered and toasted. Yum! And yes… it IS better than Dibella’s.

I grew up in Fairport and moved to Orlando in 2004. Amiel’s has been my favorite sub shop since I first tried them back in like 2001. I’m telling you this is hands down the best sub I’ve ever had. My friends and I are obsessed. When my parents come to Florida to visit my mom actually brings my wife and I Amiel’s subs on the airplane in a carry on cooler bag. When I moved away from Rochester I never realized how much I’d miss this place. If you haven’t ever had an Amiel’s sub you need to. I get the Ham sub on regular white bread with lettuce, light peppers, provolone cheese, light onions, mayo, and oregano. If there was one place I could get moved to Orlando it’d be Amiel’s.

I stop in here whenever I’m the area for lunch. Always get friendly service. The Chipotle chik-a-miel is my go to sub because it’s made with real chicken breast meat, not processed sliced deli meat like most other places.

I use to go to Amiel’s regularly every Tuesday. I have been to many sub shops most of which have been in Rochester and these are the best freakin subs availible. I would rate ten stars

great place for lunch, bread is excellent. I sometimes ask for a tuna wrap, when I don’t forget that they do that, any sub can be made into a wrap. The person helping me looks confused too, so apparently they forget as well. Anyway, the wraps are good too. The only slight complaint is they put onions in my tuna wrap once, and I didn’t ask for them. didn’t hurt the taste, I just smelled like onions for the rest of the day.

Clean, prompt service. Excellent bread. Nice diner décor. Like the tuna sub with hot peppers! For a sub shop, they do an excellent job. I think I prefer the bread from Jimmy John’s a bit better, but I like the atmosphere at this Victor location. Very 50’s deli. The service, by the way, was so fast. Don’t know what issues Laine and others had but they’ve obviously addressed it.

Very slow service for an order at the counter establishment. The roast beef was just average– I didn’t detect much flavor, or was just expecting more I guess. Also the horseradish mayo could have had a lot more kick. Tried it, but will not be going back.

Amiel’s is my favorite sandwich shop in Victor. It’s 5 minutes from my office, in Cobblestone Court, across from Eastview Mall. I look for several things in a sub shop, quality of roll, meats, and toppings, consistency, and cleanliness. Amiel’s nails it nearly every time, and I have eaten there easily 30 times in the last few years. They bake their rolls fresh on site daily, and that aroma is part of the Amiel’s experience. The rolls are a perfect shiny brown outside with chewy white goodness inside. However, lately I have eschewed the wonderful rolls for a wrap to save carbs and cals. Incidentally, they have a lovely toaster conveyor mechanism to warm your roll or wrap…(note: wraps are father sam’s, not home made)…if you want to get really crazy, you can even have them butter it. That is sweet if you dont mind the extra calories, and really makes for a decadent sub. I order the exact same thing every visit, small cajun chick-amiel on a wheat wrap. They warm a 12 inch wheat wrap and then place a mound of shredded lettuce, thinly sliced onion, tomato, and a nice 3.5 ounce portion of poached, lightly seasoned chicken breast in the center. Then a healthy dose of their spicy mustard, sliced hot cherry peppers and a shake of their red cajun seasoning. This is a really delicious combination, and very low calorie, about 300, and guaranteed to leave you satisfied… or you could get one of their delicious oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, or chocolate chunk cookies to go with it… not gonna lie, that’s usually part of the ritual :-). I love their spicy mustard, it has a wicked shocker horseradish burn that will defoliate your nasal hair if you go too heavy, so be warned. Despite high turnover, they almost always take the extra step of removing the stems and tops from the cherry peppers. It’s an awful sensation to bite into when those are left on, so I appreciate their attention to detail. And the tomatoes are always nice, never hard or green, even in January. Dibellas gets most of the love in the ROC, but these guys have quietly been making great sandwiches for a long time, and deserve to be mentioned among the better sub shops in town. Their soups are also great. The white chicken chili is nicely spiced and is loaded with chicken. In summary, an affordable, clean sub shop that serves up great quality food. Even at peak lunch hour, there are enough staff to keep the wait time down to usually less than 5 minutes.

Great soup and sandwich. But the staff needs some serious training. Really rude and they were literally fighting with each other the entire time I was there. Maybe they’re just having a bad day. One star for service today. But def five for the sandwich.

I’m so happy to have re-discovered Amiels. Is it just me, or have they gotten better over the years? Love their buttered & toasted rolls. Very tasty alternative to Subway’s bland subs and DiBella’s. Don’t get me wrong, I love DiBella’s, but Amiels subs are tastier.

My in-laws live in the next town over so we come here twice a year. It has pretty much become a ritual for the family to grab a quick bite or a couple of subs to go. The atmosphere reminds me of a 50s themed diner. Our favorite is a custom sub my wife came up with on one of early early trips here. It is a tuna w/capicola on wheat sub and if done right is quite the treat. We have probably had at least a dozen of these over the years. They are typically generous with their portions so I was a bit suprised that our visit this past week garnered a less than subpar sub. Maybe this lady was new here, but it doesn’t excuse the less than liberal helpings of tuna, lettuce, tomatoes, and capicola. It tasted like a bread sandwich with a hint of tuna. Quite dissapointing and with so many new restaurant/eatery options in the area I will have to admit that our Dec 2011 experience will make us think twice about coming back for more. Here’s to hoping the owners find my note here. For a place that seems to live by word of mouth making sure this doesn’t happen again should be a top priority.

This place is in a shopping mall and does not look like a Mom and Pop operation. It’s pretty big. I got a roast beef sub on a «wheat» sub roll. Guy behind the counter said roast beef was their best offering. They did not have oil and vinegar as a choice for a sub topping, but did have an Italian dressing that was okay. I got lettuce, something that looked like tomato slices(I know, it’s the dead of winter), onions, provelone and pepper and salt on the sub. They did not offer oregano. They weighed the roast beef before putting it on, to ensure I would only get the prescribed amount, which I wish was more. The roll was actually quite tasty. The sparseness of the meat would be my biggest complaint. I got 2 bottles of Hank’s Gourmet diet root beer as well. Stewarts is just as good, or better. Total was a tad over $ 10, which for a big sub, was fine. Bottom line: better than the chain sub places, but not at the level of a truly great Mom and Pop place where they really lay on the meat!

Excellent sandwich shop. Great selection, but the best on the menu is the roast beef sandwich with horseradish. Also, even though it’s not great health-wise, I definitely recommend having them butter and toast the roll, absolutely delicious. The décor is a throwback to old fashion diners but you order at the counter, pay, then sit so you don’t have to wait for servers to come around. Prices are also very reasonable.

Good freakin’ sandwiches. One of the few things that ended up as good as the town’s residents claimed. YUMMMY. Large selection of sandwich options, lots of seating, and reasonable prices. You order at the counter, they make it, and you go to the register to pay.
