Stopped in at this place while on vacation. They had a decent amount of baked goods to choose from, but I honestly wasn’t impressed with the quality. A lot of the donut holes were dry. Cinnamon roll was to die for though! Heads up if you aren’t a fan of whipped frosting.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now – my boyfriend and I stopped by this bakery before heading back home to Maryland from Virginia Beach in April for a short trip. He has a severe dairy allergy, so we always try to find vegan goodies that are 100% dairy free. I was excited to find there was a vegan bakery nearby and we were dying to try it. I was SO impressed. I live in the Washington, D.C. metro area and so luckily we have a lot of vegan options. I must admit we are vegan taste testers, and basically will check out any place with vegan food/dessert. My Vegan Sweet Tooth blew me away. For those of you who are familiar with the D.C. area restaurants, we have eaten at Sweet and Natural, Sticky Fingers, Great Sage, Harmony Bakery in Hampden, and more – and have tried about every vegan dessert known to man sold at Mom’s Organic in MD and Roots Market in Clarksville, MD. None of those desserts came even close to what we ate at My Vegan Sweet Tooth. Everything tasted fresh and moist. We ordered 6 cupcakes to go(a variety – my favorite was the Red Velvet and the chocolate one with the sprinkles), I ate an apple-cider donut that was amazingly warm and moist, and my boyfriend had a pastry dessert that was delicious. Definitely deserves 5 stars. The most impressive aspect of the desserts were how moist they were and also how tasty and perfect whipped cream/frosting was. As someone who formerly ate a lot of dairy desserts, I think that is the most difficult part about baking vegan – having the dessert come out moist. it is also difficult to have whipped cream/frosting that does not taste fake or stiff. The amazing ladies at My Vegan Sweet Tooth managed to do both, and more! Everything tasted fresh and not artificial at all. We will be planning on stopping by any time we are back at VA Beach, hopefully sometime this summer. Highly recommend, not just for vegan food lovers – non-vegans/dairy eaters, you will be pleasantly surprised!

My boyfriend and I stopped by while at the beach and ordered about 7 different things to try between the two of us, and were not impressed by anything. I poignantly recall the cookie lacking even a hint of sweetness, and tasted like burnt lint. Next time I’m at the beach I’m definitely going to stop by and try again because that must have been an EXTREMELY off day judging by all the other reviews. The décor is really cute though.

Went today with my daughter. The staff seemed really preoccupied with national donut day and not really focused on service. At 7:30, they only had three vegan donut flavors available. The case was filled with other vegan & vegan/gluten free options. My daughter ordered the chocolate with sprinkled and I tried the apple cider. I enjoyed the apple cider but I didn’t prefer the chocolate donut.

I have tried a number of things from this bakery over the last few years(even before the shop opened up) and everything is excellent! It is so nice having a vegan bakery so close to home too!

We were visiting VA Beach recently when we discovered this bakery. What a great find! We particularly recommend the pecan sticky buns, which are the best we have ever had. We say this as people who live in the DC area where there are some really great vegan bakeries. Their quiches were also well worth trying.

Loved the Philly cheese steak keesh! The cinnamon roles are also really good. Just started trying vegan options and I must say they are one of the best places to eat in the Virginia Beach area. Will definitely be back again!

Moist and delicious! I’m trying to eat healthier and thought it would be interesting to try something from what could be described as a quaint little bakery with your health in mind. Although I took my order to go, there is plenty of seating to enjoy your treats. **Warning as you can’t stop with just one treat… very addictive. I was greeted by a very friendly, knowledgeable staff. I had the pleasure of enjoying a «raw chocolate cupcake» and one of their famous cinnamon buns. Both were amazing! The raw cupcake was new to me as it was a very moist mixture of fruits and other ingredients covered with a rich chocolate… almost like a ganache and a walnut. I never tried one before but it was really good. I think it has to be one of the best new things I’ve ever tried and it was exactly the perfect portion. The cinnamon bun was big, light, full of cinnamon and brown sugar. It was delicious and I enjoyed it with a bottle of juice. Well that’s about it. There were so many yummy things to try(Whoopie pies bigger than your fist) from small cakes, muffins, etc. Please stop in and enjoy! I’ll be back for sure.

My wife is a vegan and has struggled to find a quality vegan bakery for a long time. We had settled for the customary dried out tasteless offerings from places like Whole Foods and Farm Fresh until she came across this bakery in her never ending search for better quslity. This shop is about 15 miles from our home but we are willing to go almost any distance for the chance to finally find the quslity she so desperately longs for. We may our first trip a couple of weeks ago and my wife and I were thoroughly impressed by the number of different items that were available. They noy only had baked goods but also other vegan items like Keach(my wife absolutely loves it). In our first visit, we bought many items including Keach, cinnamon buns and oatmeal creamnpies. Sadly, none of them made to back to our house after the long trip home. We have been back several times since and our bag seems to get filled with more delicious items each time. We would highly recommend this shop to any vegan out there in a similar search for quality baked goods. :)

The owner is so sweet! It’s nice seeing that she finally got a storefront. This is the only all vegan bakery in town, which also includes a wide variety of gluten free options. The espresso cupcakes are by far my favorite. I mentioned that I was looking for the espresso beans she puts on the cupcakes everywhere(because they’re so good), and she brung me out a little Dixie cup of them. I do miss the blueberry cheesecake and champagne cupcakes, but I’m unsure if those are still on her website. Vegan or not, this is definitely a place to try out:)

Just purchased two pieces of quiche, a cupcake and a blueberry muffin. My BFF and I just polished off the gf broccoli and spinach quiche and it was very satisfying, the crust was light and flaky. I would recommend this to everyone. …every thing looked quite yummy. My little friend thoroughly enjoyed his cupcake. Two thumbs up!!! We will be back …

A 100% vegan bakery in HR? Pinch me. So much love based solely off that fact. My favorite snacks here(so far) are the cinnamon apple doughnut holes and the cinnamon rolls. They often have several different kinds of cinnamon rolls and the pumpkin flavored one knocked it out of the park. There’s a couple of cute tables for dining-in or grabbing something to-go usually takes just a minute. Adorable interior, friendly service, and great for special orders(birthday cakes and whatnot). Oh the whoopie pies, yes, the whoopie pies! So thankful for this bakery! Viva la vegan.

Delicious! I’m not gluten free but respect that they had an entire display case full of gluten free options. We got a large cinnamon roll, 2 donuts and 2 boxes of oatmeal cookies for $ 7.80 with tax. What an amazing deal! You should definitely check the dollar deals section for some tasty day old desserts! I’ve tried everything but the donuts and everything was tasty!

My Vegan Sweet Tooth is not just the best vegan bakery in town, but one of the best bakeries in general. Selection changes with the seasons. Is creative, never boring and always delicious.

Good selection of treats. The atmosphere is terrific to just sit and enjoy a red velvet cupcake or perhaps a cinnamon roll. You can’t go wrong! The treats are amazing, not overly sweet as some other bakeries will make them. These are spot on! They are completely vegan with a separate gluten free selection too. Renee was super helpful and had some great info on local eateries and made some terrific suggestions on what desserts were best! Run right out and pick up some delicious desserts, your tummy will thank you!

As an individual who has flirted with vegetarianism and veganism in the past, I was eager to try the products of a bakery that caters to vegans. I bought a couple of their products at the OV Farm Market. Both items I tried were very dry — almost having a chalky taste due to the dryness. The cinnamon roll was the better of the two — mainly because it had more of the fats — but where the oils hadn’t melted into the bread, it was just as dry as the doughnut holes. I’ll definitely be stopping by the store to try some items again in case what I tried just wasn’t as fresh.

As a newly turned vegan along with my husband, I couldn’t wait to check this place out. Mostly for him because he’s got the sweet tooth and I don’t whatsoever. That being said, this place just may change that for me! We each ordered the cookies and cream cupcake and if the man upstairs would’ve taken me right after my last bite I would have been okay with that. It was heavenly. I mean HEAVENLY. Better than many a non vegan cupcakes I’ve had and that goes without saying there is no indication while eating this that it is vegan. Definitely one of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to return when I’m in the mood for something sweet. Staff was friendly and the place was a cute small space. The one small I guess complaint but not really, more of a tip is that I also ordered the apple cider donut and the chocolate donut holes and they were pretty dry and kind of hard. I saved the apple cider donut until I got home and popped it in the mike for 15 seconds and that did the trick. Another friend of mine who came on a different day had the same feedback. Overall, a great experience. If you order the donuts, heat them for a few seconds.

they opened a new storefront on VBBLVD if you drive too fast you can miss the shopping center. The place is gorgeous and has the treats beautifully displayed. I haven’t ever tried anything that she makes that isn’t delicious. I cannot wait to try more of the paleo stuff she makes.

I’ve had a lot of disgustingly dry and tasteless vegan and regular brownies in my life. The one I got from My Vegan Sweet Tooth wasn’t one of them. I love trying vegan sweets and comparing them to their originals, but they’re always lacking. Too tough, not enough sugar, not binding well, it’s always something. Even though this is the case most of the time, I went into My Vegan Sweet Tooth with high expectations because why not? I’m so glad I did. The brownie was a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Hands down, without exaggeration, the BEST brownie I have ever had in my life. I kept raving about it. I couldn’t stop. Even hours after it was in my belly, I had to talk about it. «Wasn’t that damn good? Why didn’t I buy two or three? So good. Oh my goodness.» Moist? Yes. Tasty? Yes. Fudge-y? Yes. Chocolate-y? Definitely yes. Little bit of crunch on the outside? Mmmm yes~ Ingredient label on the side? Yes! What a great idea. Friendly staff? Yes yes yes! I’m a tough person when it comes to sweet treats. I run into desserts where there is an eggy flavour or the flour wasn’t cooked enough or it’s just plain burnt. Too sweet. Yada yada. Cookies where the butter and sugar weren’t creamed properly. All sorts of nonsense. But this was great. Of course, no eggy flavour or badly creamed butter and sugar because no eggs or butter! ^_^ The prices are a bit eeeeh, but the food is so good that I really do not mind paying. They’re so lucky I don’t live within walking distance. I’d eat them out of house, home, and shop.
