Went here twice in one day. Definitely the best restaurant Virginia beach has to offer. Family owned and you feel like family when you’re here. Food is very flavorful, and drinks are strong. Refuse to go anywhere else from now on.

I really love that after my morning walk down the boardwalk and back, I decided to grab a small bite at Scrambled. Having heard good things, but never able to head this way, I am glad I did. I will be back. I think my favorite thing was how friendly the owner is when he personally brought out my second mimosa! Thanks for the chat, the great service, and relaxed atmosphere. I WILL be back!

Yum! Falafel plate. The owner was very accommodating and willing to talk with me about my food allergies. I felt very confident that my food was pure. I will be returning. If you are gluten-free or have any other food allergies, this place is great!!!

Scrambled has a great location, comfortable décor and a great menu, but it left a lot to be desired. All but one of the servers were not attentive. We were in need of things quite a few times and found that our server was just sitting in the back chatting with the other servers, and we’re not needy customers. Not to mention, my husband’s shakshuka was made with canned tomatoes and practically raw eggs. I think the concept is great, but they could make some changes. I definitely wouldn’t recommend them.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… this place became the first restaurant I ate at upon journeying to Virginia Beach. I’ve since returned numerous times for a variety of reasons — namely the service and unique(sometimes off-menu) offerings. We’ll start with the service. I’m a full-time resident of the area; as such I appreciate places that don’t close down simply because the tourists aren’t here. Scrambled is always open, always has a beer or three to choose from, and always has very pleasant staff. The wait-staff has never led me wrong on a recommendation and never failed to be able to carry on a conversation when it’s not packed inside. As such, each experience has been a good one! The food — amazing. For a small place tucked away off-shore, this place is leaps and bounds better than the standard tourist fare. Want eggs? You got em. Want standard American breakfast items? Sure thing. Want some of the best Shakshuka this side of the pond? Yeah, they’ve got that too… and depending on how busy it is, there’s even more in store if you’re a lucky regular. Go ahead and ask — you’re likely to find an entire Middle-Eastern bazaar in the back if you checked. I’ve got no other way to explain how such great food comes from such a small place. Either way, go where the locals go if you’re visiting — you’ll leave heavier and happier!

After the aquarium, we were gonna swing by subway for something quick but passed Scrambled on the way and my boyfriend decided to eat here instead, and I’m so glad we did!!! The owner cooked everything to order, and we basically just told him what we were looking for and he whipped it right up! So fresh! The BESTHUMMUSANDFALAFELEVER!!! Seems like a random spot for breakfast but there’s so much more! Definitely give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

Scrambled is one of my favorite restaurants on the Oceanfront now. I’ve been there for both breakfast and dinner and I have never been disappointed! I really enjoy Haim’s take on American fare with a Mediterranean twist and his flavor combinations are really great. For breakfast, the crab eggs Benedict is now my favorite in Virginia Beach hands down, and for dinner, the crab dip is awesome as well as the smoked turkey panini — yum! And don’t forget to ask Haim what he’s serving up for dessert when you’re there. His concoctions are always eyes-rolling-in-the-back-of-your-head delicious. All in all, this restaurant is a gem and definitely somewhere I plan to keep coming to as well as bring all of my out-of-towners to for breakfast or dinner(or both)!

Food was good and reasonably priced. A bit of a hipster vibe which was tendy. Loved the 90s grungy music definitely a huge +++. My only issue was the coffee was a little burnt but the food and wait staff definitely made up for it.

Waitress was very nice and our food was good; BUT our food took FOREVER to arrive and came out missing huge components. The chicken nachos without the chicken and sour cream we asked for. My pecan pancakes came out without butter or syrup. I asked for my eggs over medium and they came out scrambled. My sister had asked for a side of avocado & a side of Parmesan tomatoes(on menu) and both did not come out w/her sandwich. We came in at 1:15p and didn’t leave until 2:30. Again nice people, low key vibe, not worth the wait too many other places that get it right.

This was pretty close to the hotel and we were jonesing for a decent breakfast. Scrambled hit the spot with a classic eggs benedict, strong and steamy mugs of coffee, and super crispy and brown hash browns. The menu is enormous and I am dying to try their shrimp and grits, but for now my eggs benedict will simply have to satisfy, which it did — immensely. My friend had The Flop, which was a hit, incidentally. Haha… did you see what I did there? I know, I know, I’m too much. Anyway… The Flop consisted of two fluffy pancakes with cheesy scrambled eggs and my animal-loving friend substituted the meat side with has browns easily enough. You have to look past the rather ordinary, borderline unappealing exterior to get to the good stuff, which is on the plate INSIDE. You know what else is inside? A pretty awesome staff who are friendly and hospitable and kind.

After reviewing Unilocal reviews for this restaurant and the previously posted pictures of the eggs Benedict, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. I got the eggs Benedict with crab meat, and I didn’t bother taking a pic because it looked exactly like the other pics posted. It was so delicious. The hash browns were cooked to crispy perfection. I highly recommend this eatery.

Scrambled is located directly behind where we are staying so it was not only convenient but a quaint little place to enjoy some breakfast on our first full day here at VA beach. I ordered a crab Benedict, my wife a flip breakfast and my son a rise and shine breakfast. Our server was very polite and attentive and the coffee was wonderful too! The food was delicious and slightly expensive, but we are at the beach and I figure prices are always going to be higher than normal. I would definitely recommend this little place and we will probably stop again before we leave! Thanks!

Big disappointment. Food is always great and we come here every trip oceanfront. About every two months. Today after shamrock went for breakfast. Told our party of four could be split between two tables. The table for six was reserved. Good to note. Tables can be reserved here. Left with no other option told my wife guess we would find somewhere else to which the hostess left. Wow not always the best service here but had expected better. She had no clue to offer us to wait 10 mins for a table or any other option. That was it. So disappointing.

Came in on a Tuesday night to have a beer and ended up eating some of Haim’s personally prepared favorites. The guy is a wonderful host and has some serious moves in the kitchen. Highly recommend any of the Mediterranean Picks.

Let me start off by saying, if you’ve read my previous reviews, you know I’m picky and I’m quite a diva. Not only that I don’t hold my tongue and I’ll give it to you raw. Given this, this place is going to be no different than the rest… This restaurant does not have a fancy curb appeal. From the street, it appears similar to everything else on Atlantic. Then you bypass seating and enter and you see. It’s clean! Booths & tables everywhere and a bar! And it’s clean and very welcoming. I was craving protein & wanted breakfast at 4p at night… Don’t judge me. I had a crab Benedict with a side of bacon, tea, water & an orange crush. When I say amazing… I mean Amahhhaaazing dahhhhling!!! The poached egg was utter perfection. I’ve never seen an egg so beautiful. For the owner to disclose he rarely eats his own food, he just loves to cook, I’m left speechless. Not even sure how it’s possible when everything is perfectly seasoned and delicious, but maybe it’s not for me to understand but accept that he haas a gift. When I say everything was unbelievable, you have to believe me. And then the prices… Are normal. Not vacation inflated prices. Prices that you’d expect anywhere else. I left so full. As in needing a wheelchair kind of full. The owner, Harim Marko, who I had the pleasure of meeting & chatting with both he and his daughters, raved of his cheesesteak. I didn’t get a chance to go back and try it, but next year… I’m going directly there to try that and so should you! So. Would I go again… Of course! In fact, meet me there! :)

Very nice casual place, we had Breakfast. Everyone liked their food, French Toast, pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon and hash browns. Our server was wonderful, spent extra time talking to the kids and asking is about our trip. We will definitely be coming back!

Inviting patio café directly across from our hotel on the beach. The owner greeted us with a smile and immediate friendship. Lots of love in this good coffee, great Rise and Shine breakfast(made to order) and challah bread french toast. And! There’s a dinner menu, too! We’ll be back! :)

Decent place for breakfast! Not the greatest in town but the food wasn’t bad. I had the shrimp and grits. They needed just a pinch more of salt, and I typically NEVER add any extra seasoning to my food, but otherwise they were pretty good. They had a slightly different taste to them than the traditional southern style shrimp and grits. A little less flavorful, possibly due to the white wine sauce they use. My friends who accompanied me enjoyed their food as well. The mimosa was very cheap($ 2), but wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t order it again. Service was great. We sat at the bar to eat and the waitress was very attentive and courteous. The other waitresses and hostesses were kind as well. The atmosphere was family friendly. If you’re looking for a quick bite this isn’t a bad spot. If you’re a serious foodie, I wouldn’t encourage it, at least not for breakfast.
