Went here for breakfast on a Monday morning. Food was ok, but we waited an hour for an omelette and pancakes. The waitress was what gave this place a 1-star rating. Rude to everyone in the establishment and only came to the table to take our order and bring food. We had to get our own condiments and after waiting for our check, she finally exclaimed«It’s at the counter!». The sign claimed there was a breakfast buffet, but we may have missed it as we arrived at 10:30. The sign also claimed that the place was open until 2:00, but at 11:30 she began turning people away at the door. We won’t return.

I feel bad for the Waffle & Companys reviews… We looked at the Buffet and totally decided to order off the menu… great choice. Everything ordered off the menu was great except the whipped margarine. I want real butter on my Grits !! Totally looked like butter but for someone who hasn’t touched nasty margarine in 30 years can’t settle for artificial. other than that We’ll come back. the menu prices aren’t any worse than any other place at the beach. The restaurant was spotless compared to most breakfast diner type spots… and the waitress(Terry) was truly the best! It was nice to meet a friendly local that went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Even got a hug when we left the diner. Reading other review would obviously tell you to stay away from the buffet and order off the menu… what would you expect from a breakfast buffet people… smh. We’ll be back Waffles & Co. Namaste. I would give them zero stars if i could. We got up early and came to eat here. Waited outside for 15 minutes BEFORE open and another 10 minutes after the 7 am open time… we also called 3 times. The women in the restaurant saw us and ignored us. 5 people… you really can’t miss that. I’m terribly disappointed.

I was at Rudee Inlet doing Coastal Clean Up this Saturday; picking up trash works up a hunger! I intended to drive down to Pocahontas Pancakes(heard they’re good) but I quickly got stuck in Air Show traffic, then I drove by this place. There were people there, so I decided to try it out. MISTAKE. Even though I felt hungry, I wasn’t. I didn’t eat that much at their buffet. It’s like one big hotel continental breakfast. I ate some ham cubes, a waffle, some cantaloupe, and one delicious scoop of rice pudding. It was $ 12.99! And my «large» juice was $ 3.25! I definitely didn’t think my road side breakfast was going to be $ 20 with tax. What a joke! The food is decent, but you’d have to eat A LOT for the price and be ok with only carbs and greasy protein. They get two stars for the pretty good rice pudding and the wait staff is all quite nice. Minuses for price and general quality of food. Meh.

The breakfast buffet was horrible. The waffles were hard and the pancakes soggy because they were sitting in a steamer too long. I can’t believe I spent $ 45 for 2 children and 1 adult. My suggestion before agreeing to a buffet check it out first. If I did I def wouldn’t have had it.

Simply spectacular. We had the breakfast buffet. They have HEARTSHAPEDWAFFLES which are clearly made of love and deliciousness. Their french toast is so damn good that I saw the face of God. He has a beard and an eyepatch. Ok, it might have been a pirate. That part is not important. Our server was this saint named Alicia who is attentive, adorable, affectionate, affable, and at least three other complimentary a-words I can’t currently think of because I’m almost comatose after such a great breakfast. Do yourself a favor, order a hot chocolate.

My colleague chose this one as we drove past it last night back to the hotel. «We’re going THERE for breakfast,» he said. «Okay,» I replied. «If you insist.» It was not so good. The waffles looked frozen(they might not have been, hard to tell), the scrambled eggs were not so great(my colleague ordered three eggs over easy and they came out fresh and fine). The rest of the buffet was pretty standard for a breakfast — french toast, hash browns, grits, all of that sort of stuff. Coffee was strong and too bitter even with a good dose of creamer and sugar. Here’s where we had a problem. Matt bit into a sausage and it was still pink on the inside. How do you like your sausages cooked? See picture. That was the end of the meal — we paid our tab and left. I’m sorry, Waffles and Company.

The good: Very nice, and apologetic waitress The Bad: — Horrible coffee — Long food wait — Brought the wrong food — Poor quality for the price we paid — Staff was grumpy and fighting amongst themselves. Overall a lackluster breakfast.

Food was amazing. Probably the best waffle I’ve ever had. Alicia(our server) was so friendly! I’ll definitely go back.

Omg yuck. I’m speaking for the buffet. We came in here because I saw it on Unilocal.I should have listened to the 2.5 stars it had and not wasted my time. We literally sat down, then actually got up to look at the buffet before actually deciding to stay and walked out right after. NOT a huge selection at all and for $ 12? No. We took a trip to Golden Coral(on Nimmo Pkwy) and ate there, it was wonderful and clean! Inside of Waffles & Company just looked rundown. It’s definitely nothing I would ever come to. I can’t tell you how the menu looked, but in this case — I AM judging a book by it’s over. I’m on vacation, and no matter how cheap I am, this would not be an option for me.

Eggs Benedict were great. Quantity was big so you’ll get your money’s worth. I would steer away from the breakfast buffet as the food looked old and unappetizing. But it’s your basic diner and I’d come back.

I am really upset with this place. My boyfriend and I saw it on the way back to our hotel and thought it would be a cute cozy place to eat for breakfast since our hotel sadly doesn’t do breakfast but I was sooooo wrong. We came in they sat us and the waitress(she was nice) asked if we wanted anything; we all ordered coffees. Now we were craving coffee cause our hotel coffee was okay but not wow. The coffee tasted like water and creamer with lots of sugar to cover the taste. We ordered the buffet and we had no idea how expensive it was. Each buffet was 12.99 and not worth the price at all. Everything was cold and tasteless. I am sooo upset and can’t believe I didn’t look up a better place earlier. Don’t ever come here.

Expensive($ 21 for me), dirty place, and low-quality food. I got a stomachache from their eggs benedict. At first, I thought it was interesting how they served it with ham and biscuits since I haven’t tried it that way before. But then I got a stomachache. Their biscuits were sour. The bacon were flimsy and thin. My «large» orange juice cost about $ 3.95 and it was served in a small cup?! The table and condiments were sticky. Most of the food was cold. The waitress and owner were nice, though.

If you’re a fan of below«so-so» breakfast food and enjoy paper thin/soggy bacon — you’ll enjoy Waffles & Company. For $ 12.99 I expected something a littler better than what was on the buffet(pre-cooked waffles and pancakes — with a name like Waffles & Company I was expecting more — instant eggs, reheated sausage and out of a package chipped beef gravy). I ended up changing my mind and went with two eggs and toast. The eggs that I received were cooked to order and were not bad. I travel a lot for work and have come to expect $ 25 — $ 30 breakfasts at hotels, but at least they include fresh squeezed juice and made to order items on their buffet. I realize this is the beach and I was not expecting fine dining, but was hoping for a bit more. Save your money and order off the menu, not the buffet.

Eh. That about sums it up– thats all I got. This place was EXTREMLY over priced for what it was – bottom line. I paid $ 9 for an order of biscuits and gravy and a coffee — $ 11 including tip! That…is OUTRAGEOUS… for something that wasnt even that good. I would have chosen from my Unilocal app for breakfast but when you’re dealing with a hungover bachelorette party its safe to say, it was better i keep my mouth shut! :) I would have never chosen this place myself– and on top of being overpriced– it was not a clean place. at all… including the bathrooms! GROSSING! I dont when I’ll be back to Virginia Beach, but I know I’ll NEVER be back to this place… and what puzzled me the most was the lack of breakfast places around, and by the time we left this place, there was a wait. a rather large one… Skip this place, and opt for one of the cute cafes around.

Great service. Prompt refills, even gave me a to go cup of coffee. Inexpensive $ 10.99 for the breakfast buffet. Good food. The places kinda looks like a dive but the staff was nice, it was clean and we had a good time.

The family and I discovered this location during a recent trip to VA Beach. For me, if I see the little ones enjoying themselves it makes it worth it. This was the final stop on my niece’s VIP birthday trip so it was great that they not only acknowledged her but went above and beyond to make sure our family was happy. They had all the typical breakfast classics and everyone was able to find something pleasing. I made my teenage brother eat as much bacon as possible so we could get our money’s worth and he was up to the challenge lol. We had fresh waffles and they even brought a plate of veggie eggs to my table when I mentioned there were none on the buffet line. I saw many options that were WWers friendly for me and everyone left stuffed and ready to hit the road back home. We have officially added them to our list on our visits to VA Beach

Terrible. Absolutely freakin’ terrible. The breakfast bar was the worst I’ve been to, and believe me, I’ve seen a lot of breakfast bars. The worst part, I didn’t ask how much the buffet was when it was suggested… turns out it cost the three of us $ 40. That’s crazy money for the prepackaged processed«food» on this buffet. Just bad.
