Love the food here. Chicken fateh = highly recommend. It is a chicken and rice dish with yogurt. They aren’t usually very busy which is nice because there isn’t ever a wait. They have nice décor and good service as well. I think they cater and deliver too!

First time trying Shawerma, delicious! Well priced lunch special, service upon arrival was a tad slow. Recommended in any case

We decided to come to Amir’s based on reviews from Unilocal. The reviews were great so we decided to give them a try. A chicken plate was ordered and it was a perfect combination of spices. The rice could have been a tad more flavorful, but I’m unsure if that’s what the rice typical of the region is supposed to taste like. We also had a cold trio plate as an appetizer. The hummus was tasty and the Turkish salad was amazingly sweet and delicious. It reminded us of a Mexican shrimp cocktail without the shrimp. The pita bread was also on point. We definitely look forward to coming again and trying out their lamb.

I ordered the Greek salad, cost me 10 bucks… Shredded lettuce, 2slices of cucumber, 3 pieces of tomatoes, tasteless feta cheese, and canned black olives. The menu said kalamata olives… but I got canned olives! The only thing worth getting here is the hummus. Go elsewhere.

Just took the family here for dinner. They are super polite and it was delicious! The hummus was to die for! The chicken was amazing. Baklava was a 10! Yum yum.

It lives up to its rating. I stopped here with the family because it showed up first on my Unilocal and had a near perfect rating. I was worried because it was empty, usually a bad sign. The freaking pizza factory next door was popping off though. My kids wouldn’t shut up about it. But I made them come into Amirs and eat with some class. The shwarma was rock solid. Don’t take that literally. It was warm and soft on the inside but crispy grilled on the outside. I noshed out on it. My wife got the mixed kabob plate and it was such a healthy serving, I was able to cherry pick quite a few forks off her. We also ordered the tabboula(sp) which was crisp and refreshing. So green! The gentleman who served us was very nice and fast with service. He was also able to keep a smile on his face while my beastmode kids went on rampage. Also, I think they have a fresh juicer in the back. For some reason my son orders an orange juice and the guy says he can oblige. And comes out with a full glass that looks fresh to death.

I stopped by and ordered to-go. My food was good, with the exception of the hummus which had some sort of lemon bitterness. That’s a bummer because I was looking forward to it. Chicken Shwarma and rice was excellent. I would have preferred more salad. The restaurant was very clean but didn’t set any sort of ambiance that would make me wanna hang out there.

Ate here today and OHMYGOODNESS! I shared an entrée and appetizer plate with my husband. We had the chicken kabob and got the Cold Trio Plate as the appetizer. The two different kinds of hummus on the appetizer plate was absolutely delicious and I liked how they gave us plenty of pita bread to go with it. The chicken kabob was juicy and tender and had fantastic flavor. The rice that came with it was really good and wasn’t greasy or oily. Overall the food was exceptional. Service was great too! Very friendly people here. Will definitely be returning often!

Sorry to say this is NOT a 4 ½ star restaurant… In fact I would say my 3 is a generous round up. The beef shawarma was oddly seasoned and left a strange coated feeling in my mouth. The babaganoush was fair. We did not even get hummus with our meal… The rice wasn’t even very good. We ordered the hot trio appetizer and sour was the primary flavor… Although I really did like the falafel! I think I’d try some other option rather than return… Except for a snack of falafel!

This place is gem! The food is cooked fresh and from scratch, and you can taste it. I’ve been searching for the best lamb in town and I found it! Hands down the best lamb in town! I’m obsessed with their lamb chops. Their Arabic coffee is amazing and full of aroma. The hummus is delicious along with everything on the menu. It’s authentic and that’s always highly appreciated. On top of great food the staff is super friendly and enthusiastic. I love it!

On this particular day I was not craving meat/kabobs, but rather I was hoping to get a banh mi… totally different in terms of flavor. I stopped at the place in town that serves them, Trish Vietnamese Café & Deli, and just my luck they were closed. After sitting in the parking lot for a min on my Unilocal app, I remembered seeing this place and it seemed promising. The location is pretty easy to find, right off the 198 on Noble Ave, in a shopping center. They have a banner hanging outside that says that they are under new management, so they shouldn’t be hard to miss. Anyways, I came in around lunch time on my visit and the place was EMPTY. I always get so nervous when this happens because it could literally go either way. Recently I went to a place in Fresno where it was pretty much a ghost town but then I had the best food of my life… so I decided to stay here to see if I would have a similar experience. I was waited on by the guy working pretty quickly, although he was kind of hard to understand as he kind of mumbled though everything and was quiet. I placed my order to-go and than had a seat. The décor is a bit much to take in, it is really red in here… REALLYRED, with black and gold. There are plenty of tables and chairs for the inside being a little on the small side, but even the chairs are RED!!! There are little souvenir along the wall for you to purchase, which I didn’t even bother to look at because I was only there for the food… not to shop at the ramate. I had ordered the Beef Shawerma after looking at the menu and pics on Unilocal. It was supposed to be beef served grilled onions and parsley. It was served with Pilaf and a salad as well as hummus and pita bread. The food took about 10 minutes or so. When I got it, I grabbed my food and hit the road, I left a tip and was on my way. While on the road I opened up my carton only to find that my shawerma was totally nekkid. All I had was a pile of beef on a bed of rice. The shawerma had ZERO grilled onions and no parsley as garnish!!! I was so looking forward to the grilled onion as they are my fave, and really give your food that extra flavor and crunch. The meat itself was good, it was seasoned pretty good. However, the quality of the meat wasn’t the best… there was a lot of fatty pieces of meat that I just had to throw to the side and not eat, I don’t like gristly/fatty meat. The salad was void of any real flavor, other than just lettuce. I think that someone in the kitchen forgot to put the dressing on it because the thing had zero flavor. I def think if they would’ve added the dressing, then it could’ve worked. The hummus was really good, and tasted just like hummus should… it was very smooth, with a little tang from the tahini/lemon juice. The pilaf itself was nicely done and fluffy, not over or under cooked and it complimented the meat. The pita bread that was served with this meal was very larger, about the size of a medium pizza, lol. The prices are kind of high, after I left a tip I think my total was like $ 14+. For these kinds of prices I think I may just try some other options in town, and not to mention that my meal was not given to me as it was presented on the menu. I wont rule out trying them in the future because I think despite the screw up that they do have a decent product and the flavors are there, they could just improve in a few places… perhaps when the new management gets in there and gets situated *fingers crossed*

Amir’s Kabob needs to figure out what it is. The menu on the wall and signage in the windows makes you think takeout/counter service, but if you’re getting food to stay, they do waiter service. The loud TV also makes you think counter service, but the loud Lebanese music makes you think waiter service. My server was nice, and the salad, rice, and hummus tasted fresh. The chicken shwerma itself wasn’t so great, nor was the pita, but they weren’t terrible. My real problem is this: please choose between music or TV. It is an assault on the senses to have both going at a loud volume. I sat down and an NFL Red Zone infomercial was playing on repeat. I worked up the courage to ask them to please turn the TV off.(I was the only one in the restaurant the entire time I was there.) The server looked like she didn’t know if it was possible. She got someone from the back to help, and he came out and turned the channel to a Spanish language station which was playing a really loud infomercial. Holy cacophony, Batman! How can someone eat with Lebanese music and Spanish-language infomercials simultaneously blaring in the room with them? Eating out should be pleasant, and this was torture. For all their five-star reviews, this place really should know better.(Their sign said«under new management» so maybe they’re having a learning curve?) The good news is that they only need to tweak a few things, and Amir’s Kabob could be good! But please ditch the TV…

I wasn’t expecting much from Amir’s Kabob I mean it’s medertrainian food in Visalia. They did a stand up job. I had the cold appetizer plate and the Amir mix kabob(chicken, beef, and lamb). All the food was good and the atmosphere was perfect. Next time I’m in town I’m coming back.

One of the best places to get Mediterranean food in Cali. Their lamb chops were the best I have ever had. I got the combination plate with the lamb chops… And everything was mouth wateringly legendary. Amazing. Seriously. I don’t know how a place like this exists in Visalia. The service was professional and the Owner/Manager went out of his way to make sure everyone was pleased. A++++. And its right next to Sahara Hookah, where i went after dinner(I have a review for them too). I highly recommend this place have dinner no question!

My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our entrees from Amir’s. We initially picked another kabob place however it was Fourth of July and they were closed. Amir’s restaurant was nicely decorated with middle eastern décor and there was a small section of market food goods if you wanted to get some stuff for the home. Waiter was very nice and helpful when we asked questions about the menu. We got complimentary naan with hummus when we sat down. Ordered the lamb kabob with rice and salad. Fiancé ordered the combo kabob entrée. Lamb was tender and didn’t taste gamey. Fiancé liked his dish and didn’t share: X. Will come back if we are in the area.

We had the chicken sharwarma(plate, not sandwich) and combination kabob. Both tasted great and I love the garlic sauce in particular! The plates were a good combination of meat and vegetables and filled our stomach. I personally liked the Kabob more. Note also that the place has a different menu for to-go items and for dining in. We sat down and food wasn’t really quick but came within a reasonable time. The staff was friendly and nice.

Finally made a trip to Visalia from Lemoore and I’m so glad I did. I dined in solo and had the combo plate since it was my first time there, and everything I had was good. First came out my salad and toasted pita bread, then came my course of rice pilaf, a beef and a chicken skewer and the beef kufka(spelling?) all of which was amazing. The chicken skewer was to die for. I took some tabbouleh salad and a falafel meal to go, both of which I’ve already took a nibble of, and they were both great. The waiter even gave me some baklava to go for free! I’ll definitely be back in no time!

What a disappointment! The food was far from the Unilocal rave. I got the lamb kabob which was average. The rice that was serve with the lamb was not completely cooked while the salad tasted old. My husband and I also shared the 7 appetizer special. Out of the 7, only the fried pita bread was good. The falafel that people were raving about were so so. The humus was tasteless and the rest were not worth mentioning. The lentil soup that my husband tried did not look appetizing — looked watery and it was. Bland and waterdown. After a long day driving and hiking we were looking forward to eating and got disappointed. As a result, its thumbs down from us.
