My go to place when I try Mexican food. Besides the food being top notch the customer service is always on point. Everything is freshly made right in front of your eyes if your tall enough. Lol. My favorite dishes are the carnita and carne asada tacos as well as the carne asada tortas. If you like fish I would try the shrimp cocktail. That thing is huge and flavorful. It’s perfect for the price and best yet right around the corner from where I live

I have been saying for forever that I was going to try this place… yet every time I am in Visalia I seem to forget or I find something else on my Unilocal app that lures me in. I was determined though to try this place, since I have been on the latest taco cleanse… hahahaha yeah riiiiiight. Anyways, I finally made it in here and kind of wished I hadn’t. The prices are cheap, but the quality is pretty cheap too. I ordered 4 carne asada tacos(at $ 1.50 each) and an order of fries. The carne asada tacos are served topped with onions and cilantro here as well as salsa. I had the salsa left off of 2 of the tacos, since I was unsure about the heat level. At first sight I saw that there was a lot of gristle/fat on the meat. Some is to be expected but by the time I picked most of it out(couldn’t get it all) there was literally enough to fill another 1 ½ taco, way too much for me. So even though the tacos are cheap, you’re not really getting a good value unless you don’t mind eating that. The flavor was ok, nothing that really stood out and made me want more. The fries were piping hot and crispy and the service was decent, so 3 stars overall. I probably wont return here anytime soon, but may try them in the future for other items.

This place has THEBEST breakfast burritos hands down. I order mine with bacon potatoes and chorizo. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy but i only get to-go here. Ive also had the asada torta and tacos which were okay. Not the best i’ve had but it does the job. Just put some of their green salsa on top and its defiantly better, I LOVE their green salsa!

Skip this place. Food is not good. Meat is dry and without flavor. Tortillas are not fresh. Service is hot or miss. Beans were really good.

BOMB Carne Asada tacos, fair prices, quick enough service. Sometimes the inside is pretty dirty including tables and chairs. Also the rice and beans aren’t great. But the tacos make up for it

Great food at great prices. I like to eat here then go to Howie’s for some brews as their food sucks.

My favorite place for a burrito here in Visalia. The red salsa is just the right amount of heat and freshness. Queso is perfect.

From San Diego and passing through. Really flavorful burritos, great salsa, the kids bean and cheese burrito was perfect for our son, not much of a selection but the food was good and the service was fast.

Food is very good just that the cashier was been so rude I would really think about going again. We told her thank you when she brought are food and are drinks after and she just walked away with a mad face. Like really thats about the worse costumers service I ever had. They should hire a better person to handle the paying costumers

I’m not a big Mexican food lover but my boyfriend is and when it’s his turn to pick out lunch he usually finds small Mexican joints like this place so I always get just carne asada tacos and most the time they’re just ok but the ones here are always so bomb! The meat is seasoned just right and is full of flavor! And my bf always loves their asada burritos but we usually ask for sauce on the side because they tend to over sauce everything! But all in all this is a pretty good place to eat if your craving Mexican!

Honestly it doesnt even deserve one star. The amazing honestly but the service is HORRIBLE and Im putting it lightly. The cashier that I dealt with«Ariana» was rude from the moment I ordered. When we got home the food was wrong. We called to let them know so we could fix it ans she continued to argue with me about how I. was wrong and didnt order it the way I.said. Really? I dont know how I ordered my own food? First of all, you dont argue with a customer. Your always taught«the customer is always right.» Ive had to swallow my pride many times but. thats part of customer service. She told me she was made her mad. Well honey then you shouldnt be working in customer service!!! I wont go back because.of.her! Rosa as manager you got work to do, fix your employees!!!

Came to try this place in my search for the best carne Asada burrito in Tulare County and sad to say I didn’t find it. Don’t get me wrong the burrito was good and satisfied a craving for a burrito but it’s about the same as other taco places. I also got a torta and was lacking because it only comes with meat, lettuce, cilantro and onions, I found it very dry and plain so I decided to go buy a side of beans and avocado to spruce it up a bit! Once I added the beans and avocado it was a decent Torta so I suggest getting it with beans, avocado and some sour cream to add moister and better taste! Also got the carne Asada fries and was a little disappointed as well they lacked flavor so I once again played with my order and added cheese and beans, avocado and salt then I must say they were quite tasty, so my major suggestion in this place is that it has potential if you play with your orders and spruce them up a bit! The have a good selection of bottled Mexican beers as well as fresh horchata, Jamaica and tamarindo waters to accompany your meal!

This is my favorite burrito place in town. We have been coming here for a long time and the food is always quick and tasty. They provide us with good service every time. I really can’t say enough good things about Tacos El Grullo.

Love this place. Awesome Mexican food at cheap/decent prices. Reminds me a little bit of King Taco from Los Angeles. Their carne asada tacos as well as el pastor tacos are really good. The tacos are perfect small bite sizes. You can never go wrong with their tacos. It has meat, onions and cilantro, and red sauce on top of a corn tortilla. I’ve also had their tostadas, which are excellent. It’s like a taco but on a flat shaped fried corn tortilla. My friend had their carne asada fries and raved about it. Personally, I thought the fries were too soft and lacked seasoning. However, the portions are huge. We ordered a medium size and we could barely finish it. It comes with fries, carne asada, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and cilantro. All in all, the food is excellent and prices are decent. FYI: there is no bathroom in this restaurant, or at least one I couldn’t see or find.

This is my go-to spot for take out. I probably stop by twice a month, which to me is often. My wife loves the nachos, and I usually help her finish them. I’ll either go with sopes or or a chile verde burrito. The tacos are good, small, but full of meat. This isn’t a fancy place by any means, it’s super casual and the TV is usually tuned to soccer, so if that scares you away, oh well, just do like me and take the food to go. It can get somewhat busy in the evenings, but they are still typically quick. If you’re looking for an alternative to Taco Bell, or any other other fast food places, try El Grullo. It costs about the same, and it’s actually good food.

Lots of food on our plates! My fiancé and I each ordered two small street-style tacos and one super taco. He had carne asada which we liked least of the meats. The chicken wasn’t shredded(which I like best on tacos) but it had great flavor. The carnitas was the best. The super taco had a lot of lettuce and tomato on it and was really good. I think it had sour cream too. The food came out fast and included pickled carrots that were excellent! We tried both types of salsa with our chips. The red had a smokey flavor(chipotle peppers) and the green had a nice flavor but was very mild. It was pretty greasy but that made it all the better. It had authentic taste and was not very expensive. Score.
