One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! This place was recently remodeled and it looks great. The food, drinks and service are always top notch. My favorite dish are the enchiladas Tarascos, chicken enchiladas covered in mole! Stay away from the Tarasco water drink, unless you want to get wasted quick!

Got seated a little past 12pm and my boyfriend and I waited about 5 mins till a server finally approached us. She asked what drinks we wanted but by that time we had the chance to look at their menu and already knew what we wanted. We ordered and 20 mins later another couple got seated across from us. They got their drinks and even complimentary chips and salsa before they even ordered unlike us, no drinks or complimentary chips and salsa until later on. We waited and waited…45mins later, the couple sitting across from us who came in 20mins after us got their order already while me and my boyfriend were still waiting. I was infuriated and very upset since we were starving at this point. I wanted to go up and leave but after an hour, our food finally came out. To be honest, it wasn’t amazing, just so so nor is it anything worth waiting 1 hour for. Just really disappointed since we were out of towners who were only in Visalia from time to time and this place had some good Unilocal reviews. I guess I chose the wrong place to eat at. Never had I encountered such disappointing service ever in my life. The server checked on us like 3x and was no where to be found most of the time. I normally don’t post negative feedback but this place left a very sour taste in my mouth.

My husband and i both ordered fajitas. We also got guacamole and chips which was pretty good(I have had better). All in all, the food was excellent. The portions were nice and large. The Rice and beans had great flavor. If a Mexican restaurant can make their basic dishes stand out then you know the food is going to be good. I would definitely come back again and I highly recommend coming here.

I usually love this place but for some reason it seriously sucked tonight. Service was horrible. Food was fine but don’t come down Sunday evening. The staff had time to themselves but not the customer. This must have been a bad night for them. I have been back a dozen times since and the service has been great. The food is fantastic. I like this location and it’s chefs much better than the main st location. Going again tonight.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon @1p.m. service was looking good until our waitress asked us for a second round of salsa and chips. never came thru with that. until are order was served. Ugh! it was not packed, her excuse was it was busy. bologna! Then we were running low on drinks she was serving other families but kept over looking us… HORRIBLESERVICE do not know why it has 5 star. it’s more like a sports bar. I prefer the on one on Main Street they have better service and do not forget about their customers. thank you.

My friend loves this place so I tried it out, as. I’ve always heard good things about this place. I was not dissapointed. I had sopes and they were very unique compared to ones I’m used to making myself, but none the less, very, very tasty. Good atmosphere, cozy booths and friendly service. My waitress was a very nice young lady. The bar area that has a good aesthetic. I will be back for more sopes!

So good! It’s so hard trying to find good authentic Mexican food(maybe because I’m Mexican so I expect the best) in the valley. This place comes the closest to authentic food your mother would make. Good good good! And the service was fast and great! My BF got the asada torta and he was enjoying every second of it! Will come back again

Delicious food! Great shrimp cocktels. Carne asada tacos with homemade tortillas were bomb. Michelada was good. Great service. A little pricey.

Tried the Tuesday buffet. Items were running out at 1215 and by 1 nothing was replaced. The place was run down and dirty. Food was ok. Too much competition in Visalia to go again.

They sucked me in with the buffet… I may have to come back and actually order a specific meal. I liked everything, kinda weird you don’t get tortillas, but there is fajita fixins…

This food is not authentic. I’m very deceived. The staff working there are super friendly, but the food is not what the menu is listing it as what it should be. First of all, an authentic Sope(at least a Mexican one) is not one that looks like a tortilla that’s cut in half, but blown up as a result of it being fried. Nonetheless, this half-a** job dish, the same dish that I would probably make back in my «trying to save money and time» college days is clearly mimicking a real authentic Mexican Sope. I also had there menudo, and any Mexican mother or grandmother that holds true to there Mexican roots will tell you that the sauce(or broth or whatever you want to call it) in the menudo is too saucy and thick. This is due to the sauce being heated and refrigerated repeatedly. «You can’t get any more authentic with a Mexican indigenous tribe name like ‘El Tarasco,’ but if your food doesn’t portray its authenticity, then don’t imply it on the menu and then give your clients sopes than look no different than lunchables. If that’s the case, I’ll just drive my fat-*ss to wal mart.»

Hands down my favorite Mexican place! Amazing chips and salsa. Always get the chicken enchiladas. Best green sauce ever. Service is always super friendly and they know my exact order every time. Wait is not long at all. Would definitely recommend if you want authentic Mexican food :)

This is definitely the best food I’ve had in a loooooong time! Started with the ceviché avocado shell and was blown away. Then ordered the #4. Chili Verde and chili relleno… also amazing. oh and the beans and rice… oh man the beans and rice. Perfection! We came up from L.A. the land of «authentic» Mexican. There is no comparison. The service was excellent, the food perfect and the atmosphere was great. These are all the things I look for in a dining experience. This will defiantly be a place we shook look forward to visiting again. And our server Erika was a dream! Thank you!!!

If you have time to waste, you may enjoy this restaurant. Inefficient service aside, the food is tasty and fresh. For $ 25 we got a large bowl of menudo and a combination plate with a chicken enchilada, chile releno, beans and a salad substituted for rice. Once our waitress arrived she was friendly and accommodating, but then it took another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I don’t typically order chile releno, but I’m glad I did. It was delicious. The enchilada sauce is yummy, even though the chicken was a bit dry. The menudo was served lukewarm and we were told we were lucky to have it after noon. My husband liked that the broth wasn’t oily, the tripe was tender, and just wished it was served hot.

Great red booth seats. Very comfortable! That made a good first impression. Customer service was top notch. The gentleman that attended us would walk by constantly and would see if we needed anything. He noticed that we we’re talking so he didn’t interrupt until the end of our meal. Food was great! Good flavor not too salty not too bland. Chile rellenos are bigger than you’re average ones do it makes up for the slightly higher price. Over all I recommend it and will be coming back.

The combination fajitas plate, is to die for. The sauce that it is in is amazing. The vegetables are cooked perfectly I would’ve been satisfied eating the vegs alone. My mouth is watering as I write this, I want more! The corn tortillas are fresh, homemade, and yummy. The house salsa is amazing, in my opinion you can usually judge a Mexican restaurant by how tasty there salsa and chips are and I ate three bowls. The customer service was excellent!
