I go here frequently, and I’m never disappointed. Not only is the food great, but the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I think this is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Personally, favorite is the chicken korma. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is always SO friendly! The first time I went our waiter went over so many dishes explaining what they were and what I would like. It is great for takeout too!

Updated: had a delicious lunch for $ 7! Friendly service. Really good Indian takeout. Staff was helpful answering menu questions. Price was a bit higher than others in the area but the quality is worth it IMO. Dining room felt very small. They were supposed to open another location on White Horse Pike but that doesn’t sound very probable given the conversation I had with staff.

This is the best Indian food in South Jersey. Of course that is my opinion based on having eaten in every Indian restaurant I’m aware of south of Princeton. Anything saag, anything goat. Rock solid Chicken Tikka Masala but you’d be missing out on lamb curry, chana masala and goat biryani. Lunch specials cooked to order. No disgusting buffet. Choice between two vegetarian dishes($ 5.99) or two non vegetarian($ 7.99) — lamb and goat($ 8.99). My favorite for dinner is the goat saag($ 12.99) which is a steal. The best part is the owner and staff. Mom in the kitchen, son running orders(and does some of the cooking) and Carlos who cares about your experience. This is the type of restaurant you’d be happy to support.

Went here upon suggestion of some Indian guys I work with. Best Indian food overall I have ever had. Inde Blue is good, but this may be better. Could be because the Indian guys I went with ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were quite good, so that could be why I enjoyed so much. But everything I tasted was absolutely delicious. Only comment — stomach was upset both times after eating here — could be coincidence though because the food tasted very fresh. I highly recommend this place.

I have been searching for a really good Indian restaurant in the South Jersey area for the past 4 – 5 years and have not really been pleased until I found Nimit Palace. This place is astounding. I am beside myself every time I eat there, which is quiet often I must say. The ingredients are the absolute best and the flavors are orgasmic. I highly recommend the chicken banjara from the tandoor menu. I eat this dish at least once a week as it is that good. The owners and staff are very friendly and really do their best to please your taste buds. Hands down the very best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at period.

Nimit Palace is located in a pretty generic looking strip mall on White Horse Road in Vorhees. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside but on the inside it is surprisingly simple and nice. The space looks small but there is seating for 30. We went on a Sunday around 2:00PM. There were a few other diners. The nice thing about Nimit Palace is that they serve their lunch special menu on the weekends. I had the Chicken Tika Masala and the Lamb Curry with Nan bread and this set me back $ 7.99! It was a decent size portion and the flavors of both dishes were very good. I always use the Tika Masala sauce with my rice and Nan, I love that stuff. My daughter had the Tandori chicken and my wife had Lentils(Dal Makhani) and a Saag Paneer. We shared all the dishes and we all were happy with taste and quality. We finished up with the Gulab Jamun and Rasmaiai and a Mango Lassi. Both desserts were not super sweet and had unusual but pleasant flavors. We really liked the Gulab in the honey syrup and served warm. Our servers were very friendly and attentive and made us feel welcome. I really liked Nimit Palace and it is serves very good Indian food at reasonable prices. We will definitely make a return visit and explore the menu further.

I had been a customer of Tiffin right on the other end of the strip mall but wasn’t really pleased with their food. I live right around the corner so I assumed that it left me with no options. I read the reviews for other Indian restaurants near me and was surprised to read such great comments. I tried it for the first time and I couldn’t be more pleased. I had a delicious vegetable byrani with peshwari naan on the side. Not greasy, no old oil smell, very tasty. The waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. Restaurant is very clean and has a plain but nice atmosphere. I will definitely be back!!!

One of the best Indian Restaurants in South Jersey. From the Samosas to the entrees, to the Masala tea, they are top notch. Loved the service too. I asked for the a spicy Masala chicken dish. It had some heat, but more than that, it was quite flavorful.

Great lunch specials that’ll fill you up for under $ 10 with a drink. The combos offer you a choice of many different items, so I found it hard to pick. I loved the butter chicken. We got some samosas too which were really tasty. The combo gave you a choice of naan or roti — they basically look the same, but I prefer the naan which is slightly thicker and fluffy, whereas the roti is more dense and crepey. The only thing I’m not a fan of are the plastic disposable plates they use, but if keeps prices low, then oooooookay.

This place is the best. Great food and very nice staff. Everyone in the restaurant including the patrons were so friendly. I highly recommend the Mulligatawny soup, Lamb Vindaloo, vegetable pakoras and the amazing kulfi for dessert. The food at this place beats any Indian restaurant in the area. BYOB and enjoy.

Moving to south Jersey has been an interesting transition… a lot of the ethnic food down here is very Americanized, which leaves me with much desire for truly authentic flavors. Wanting to find a good Indian restaurant, my fiancée did some searching for me on our drive home, and said«babe, this place looks good.» Relying on Unilocal, and trusting the high praise of this place, I placed my order and I could not be any happier. This little gem, is tucked away in a strip of stores. Easy to miss but its by the Philly pretzel. The staff was very nice! I placed the order on the phone and they were helping me through the menu since I did not have one in front of me. I ordered garlic naan and chicken tikkia masala. They asked me how spicy, which I usually don’t hear when I order that, but I was happy they did. I got medium to spicy… it was SPICY! But amazing nonetheless. The food was packed with flavor. The tikka sauce was beyond flavorful and rich. The naan was also good– they gave me the green mint sauce and the onion sauce. both good. I would love for the onion sauce to have more of a kick to it but its still very good. The restaurant within itself is decent. Very casual and not that big. I saw patrons here eating on plastic plates so its not really the place for a date night or anything like that. But sometimes, its really all about the food and that’s what Nimit seems to be about. Voorhees has a lot of Indian restaurants and going to Nimit for my first south Jersey Indian experience, I don’t think I need to go else where. This place hits it on the nail.

I love this place! Its cute, cozy, and the food is delicious. Its become a family tradition to go there on random Sunday evenings. Below is a breakdown of my experience and why I’m going back. No pushiness The owner/service staff is very helpful with menu selection and honest about portions. They made the ordering process fun, and easy. No frills I don’t mind ambiance, but I don’t like when I have to sacrifice food for it, its hard to find both. Nimit Palace has a simplistic small dining space, but its feels mom and pop cozy and treats the diner to a unique kitschy experience. I love the new paintings on the wall too. I also like that the tables are bare polished wood, versus white linen or event plastic linens, it just adds to the charm. Tasty Food You don’t leave hungry. The portions are great and the prices are fair, that you can order several dishes to enjoy family style. Extra bonus for the warm and passionate staff that enjoy being there, and add to the experience. Looking forward to more visits, and will also look into their catering.

Just went here today with the hubs for lunch. I have been craving Chicken Tikka Masala lately(blame it on the sister, lol), so I tried to search for nearby Indian restaurants that have it in a reasonable portion and at a reasonable price… since I do not like eating too much in one sitting or spending a lot on a tiny portion. Checked out their website and discovered they offer inexpensive lunch specials Tuesday through Sunday, 12:30pm-4:30pm! Score. Vegetarian lunch specials are $ 5.99 and non-vegetarian lunch specials are $ 6.99. All come with either rice, naan, or roti. Choices are quite limited, but adequate enough for us. We ordered: — Vegetarian: Chana Masala and Saag Paneer(mild) with Rice — Non-Vegetarian: Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken(mild) with Naan Note: The server informed us that the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken are very similar in taste, but we ordered the two anyway. Both lunch specials were great. My favorites are the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken, obviously. How can you resist? Our stomachs and wallet were both satisfied. I am surprised we were the only ones there. Based on the taste and price point, we will be back. Definitely recommend lunch for those working or who happen to be in the area!
