Love this place. They are fast, sandwiches are fresh, and price is fair. If you don’t care about workers being friendly and don’t want toasted bread, you can’t go wrong here.

Worst sandwich shop ever. Sandwiches are small very little meat put on them the bread is cold and hard. I had take out and the gave me no bag or napkins. I will never go to another. Subway, Quiznos and firehouse are better.

I love Jimmy Johns, but not the Waco one in downtown Waco. Their food is really good, same as all of the other locations, but with their bread it’s hard to mess that up… But what’s gets them only 2 stars is their lack of people skills at the order counter. One lady looks barely happy to be alive and the other didn’t know how to key in an order. Because of that they almost messed up my order if I wasn’t standing there for clarification from the one making my sandwich. You get that feeling like you are not really welcome here, and that’s a shame because their subs are so good.

Too bad they only have 5 stars on here because they deserve Much more. Since I’ve moved, they don’t have one where I live, I wish they did though.

For the first time I ordered online from Jimmy John’s. I had heard there commercials before but really never paid attention to be honest. We hit send, I took a phone call, answered an email, walked to the back and saw Jimmy John’s pulling out my driveway. HOWTHEHECKDIDTHEYDOTHAT? It really is FREAKYFAST? Not only was it super fast, it was exactly what I ordered and taste amazing.

Hit or miss. Either you’ll get your food in 20 minutes or an hour.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The girl misread my ticket, made the sub wrong. When I asked them to make me a new one, she scooped the middle ingredients out and was starting to rebuild it. In front of me. It’s been a year and a half since I’ve been in a Jimmy John’s, and after this experience it will never happen again. Got my money back and left. At least I assume I will be getting my money back. The manager said they deleted the transaction, but I was given no receipt of the refund to my card.

Cheap garbage food. Zero stars if I could. Place is gross.

Quick services and good sandwiches makes JJ’s a great place to stop in on a short lunch break during the day. Craving a Turkey Tom right now!

Jimmy John’s is really all you want in fast food. It’s fast, it’s cheap and they even deliver. Anyone who rates Jimmy John’s below five stars hates food. And kittens. And America.

So glad to have JJ’s in Waco. The service is super-quick. The staff is always friendly. And the sandwiches ROCK. I love the Vito(number 5) with hot peppers!

Here’s what I’ll say: if you find a sandwich you like, they will make it quickly & consistently. They’re good, but they’re not excellent — I mainly come because it’s reasonably priced and I can be in and out in 2 minutes. Plus it’s significantly better than Subway. If you want a great sandwich, go to Schmaltz’s. If you want a fast sandwich, go to Jimmy John’s.

I tried Jimmy Johns on a whim a few days ago, I ordered the veggie sub. It is said to come with sprouts, but after paying/getting in my car/calling them they informed me that they no longer had them. Disappointing that I wasn’t told to begin with. The sandwich was okay, the bread was good, but other than that it was pretty plain. I could’ve made it at home for a lot cheaper. I ordered online and paid with a credit card, picked up my order, and then the cashier who helped me(who was clearly brand new) informed me that he needed to charge my card again because he apparently accidentally voided my first payment. I was iffy about this but I allowed him to do so anyway, days later I have two charges on my account that have processed so I now know that this was an error on his part. Now I have to go through the hassle of going up there and trying to get one charge refunded. Also, they don’t allow you to have any sauce on the side as opposed to on the sandwich, which is a problem for calorie counters like me — I don’t eat a lot of fattening sauces. All in all, wasn’t worth my time, trouble or money. Maybe this was just one bad experience out of hundreds, but I won’t be going back.

Their sandwiches are great. I loved the bread that they used! The prices are a tad high for a sandwich, but I really did enjoy it.

I am always down to eat a Hunter’s Club. If you live by Baylor, you are potentially slightly out of the delivery range for JJ’s. However, if you are polite and have a significant order, I have seen them stretch the delivery range a reasonable amount down 3rd Street slightly past Garden. Late night delivery? That is definitely the best way to keep the drunkies off the road and well-fed.

Just like the sandwiches up north. Just need to use hellmans mayonnaise. Also, sandwiches could be a bit bigger. My favorite is the turkey.

Didn’t we just get rid of all the Quiznos in Waco? It seems that everyone of them closed more than a year ago. Now along comes Jimmy John’s. Can they make it if Quiznos couldn’t? Jimmy John Liautaud founded Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwich Shops in 1983 when he was 19-years old. After creating four sandwiches for his family to test, Liautaud opened the first Jimmy John’s in a converted garage in Charleston, Illinois. When it comes to rating sandwich shops, for me it is all about the bread. If you like toasted — you could be Quiznos crazy. If you like crusty, may be you are a Blimpie buddy. Did you grow up in Austin eating Schlotzsky’s sourdough? There are even people who love the spongy-soft white bread of Subway. There is no explaining taste but which ever brand you prefer it is probably because you like the bread it is served on. I like Jimmy John’s bread. They use only fresh baked bread and quickly sell the extra loaves for a bargain price. I like the meat. The substantial amount served on each sandwich makes the price seem like a good value. Although Jimmy John’s sells mostly their owned designed combos, they are generally pretty good mixtures of meats and cheeses. They do seem to lack some of the flexibility of some other sandwich shops. I liked the BILLYCLUB® and the ITALIANNIGHTCLUB®. Jimmy John’s is not a place for a lot of extras as compared to a McAlister’s Deli or a Panera Bread Company. It’s subs, soda, and chips plain and simple. And while we are on the subject of soda … the choices are limited and there is no Diet Dr Pepper. If I wanted a good sandwich for lunch, I would go to: 1. Panera 2. Jason’s Deli 3. Schlotzsky’s 4. Jimmy John’s 5. Newk’s

The subs are fantastic. They are still working out kinks in the service. They forget to put napkins in the bag, and they don’t get the orders quite right yet. There is not enough seating; we had to go to nearby Heritage Square park to sit and eat, but it was scenic and a beautiful day. I’ve been here twice and the food will keep drawing me back. Once they get the kinks worked out, I will re-review and I expect they will get 5 stars.
