Came here for out 15 year anniversary and we were very dissapointed. The atmosphere is great. However, on a beautiful summer night we were not offered the option to sit outside. That would have been nice. The server did not seem to understand the menu. My husband and I used to work in the restaurant industry so when we go out to eat we tend to inquire about ingredients and flavors. The wine was nice but they forgot to serve it to me until my dinner was almost finished. Appetizers were not what we expected due to lack of knowledge on the waitstaff part. My husband enjoyed his beer sampler. My cocktail was ok. Just not great. French fries were burnt. I ordered the shrimp with gnocchi and it was soggy and not the expected flavors as described. My husband’s burger seemed as if it was frozen. The wait was so long like many we were afraid to order desert so we left. Wishing we chose somewhere else for our special night.

While browsing the website, I envisioned dinner outside and cocktails with my friends, taking in the scenic green landscape, and enjoying the fire pit while munching on new american cuisine. None of these things happened. Overall our experience was ok — very friendly host named Alex who took time to ask us how everything was(poor Alex.) Joanne the server was also efficient. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food as we had high hopes from the menu descriptions and what we received did not meet our expectations. So here’s the rundown of what we ordered and a rating from 1 – 5 for each: Cheddar bacon tots(disappointing — 1) had cheddar and bacon on the INSIDE of the tot(not outside as I would have thought) and were on the bland side. Duck Spring Rolls(delicious! 5) filled and a nice portion, filled with duck and slaw and flavorful. Bang Bang Shrimp(good — 4) good but not what we were expecting, served in a sauce that tasted of a mix of sriracha and duck sauce. Brussel Sprouts(disappointing — 1) Steamed? sitting in a puddle of a very acidic watery sauce, overwhelming the pancetta and the(odd) walnuts. A thicker glaze over a pan fried sprout with the pancetta would have been welcomed… they were… disappointing. Wedge Salad(good –4) dressing a bit bland, bacon was nice, bleu cheese could’ve been chunkier and not so watery, fried onions nice touch. Chicken and Waffles(huge disappointment — 1) *sigh* were nothing like their description of 11 spices and described by Joanne as «spicy»(of those 11 spices salt and pepper were clearly neither.) The waffles tasted like the frozen boxed kind and there was not enough syrup(drizzled on the plate instead of served on the side or drizzled on the waffle itself.) We love chicken and waffles, do better or take this off the menu as it’s a disservice to whomever orders it. Brisket Burger(very good, 5) mouthwatering, the horseraddish sauce was perfect and the mushroom/cheddar combo was delightful. A must! Moscato(meh, 3) Dark and Stormy(not enough dark or stormy, very lemony — 1) When we arrived the parking lot was packed with golfers who were doing a tournament. The restaurant catered this and I believe that may be why the quality of our food was so poor(we were an after-thought for the kitchen who was working hard to accommodate 300+ people at the tournament.) That should have been our first indication that this wasn’t the best night to give this place a shot. The 300+ people were in a tent, blocking our view of the(advertised) beautiful rolling green hills of the golf course and taking up the(advertised) fire pit where we wanted to sit originally. Said guests were continuously in and out of the dining room, walking through, requiring all of the attention of every staff member working(whom I felt bad for) leaving very little time for our server to give us the proper attention. When we were seated, we inquired with Joanne about the weekly specials listed on the website. The website stated that on Monday nights it’s «Industry Night» with all day Happy Hour: $ 5 wine, beer, wings, fries, and mac and cheese. This intrigued us as we wanted to to sample multiple items. Joanne informed us that they didn’t do that anymore and thought that perhaps that was only a promotion for the soft opening. We stated that it was still on the website and she replied that perhaps it was for the bar only(not stated on the website… update people.) We won’t be back any time soon as the food was just«meh» and there are so many great restaurants out there. Perhaps they would do better on a night that they’re not bombarded with another party but if that’s the case, close the restaurant for the night, don’t serve us second class citizen cuisine because your kitchen is in the weeds. Also, if you’re going to advertise great specials to draw people in, stick to those offered specials, otherwise it’s misleading and your customers leave feeling tricked. Do better Pure North Fork, do better.

This place is awesome. An open, inviting floor plan with a modern flair, plenty of seating for all. From intimate duos to a large table in the middle of the bar area for a group of guys(or gals) out on the town. Professional, attentive, excellent service. There’s a great selection of craft beers, both local, and regional, as well as an extensive wine list. And the food? From classics to modern twists, and a tapas menu, you really can’t go wrong. All in all an A+ experience. This is a well run restaurant where the emphasis is on quality and service. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

If there was a –5 I would give it to them. Came here for my grandmas 88th birthday on a weeknight so no excuses… Came from Florida and it is very questionable where all these reviews came from. Over 3 hours to get the most disgusting food I’ve ever tasted! Took 30 minutes for a bottle of wine only for them to say they didn’t even have the bottle of wine. Really? 1 hour for appetizers that were burnt and the sizes were horrible. Ordered the gnocchi and shrimp and wished I would have just been on a diet– chlorinated shrimp with potato wedges(last time I checked it was«potato dumplings-pasta like») had to throw everything on a napkin. The burgers were cold once they were out. Not one dish was decent enough to eat.

Was pleasantly surprised at the beautiful décor and the diverse menu. The food was excellent, I had the brisket burger and soup of the day. Both were very good. It was a busy Saturday night and was very loud. We were a group of 6 and was difficult to have a discussion. Our server was pleasant but clearly very inexperienced, could definitely be improved upon service. Will give a second try maybe on a quieter weeknight.

Came in with my friend on Thursday night to finally check the place out and was blown away. Beautiful bar, awesome food, and a really cool fire pit out back to hang out at. We tried some cocktails from the cocktail menu and was really impressed with how knowledgable and hospitable the bartender was. She explained to me the variety of whisky and how they’re produced, I think Rittenhouse rye is my new all time favorite. Asked her what she recommended to get for dinner and she mentioned the brisket burger and was I sold. The burger was SOGOOD… We will definitely be back!

Food and drinks were very tasty and the menu is unique. I can’t give it 5 stars because it is unbearably loud inside so you cannot converse with your party and the sun was shining in everyone’s eyes until it set because there was no blinds or anything to block it. Not a very comfortable or enjoyable dining experience but could be really good with a few adjustments.

Wish I could give 4.5. The craft beer menu was very good. I had a flight of four 4 oz pours for $ 10. Good mix of local vs national choices. The ahi taco app was superb. The brussel sprouts side was also very good. My wife had the gnocchi with shrimp which was excellent. I had the flat iron. I asked for rare but it was medium. Normally I would send back but the marinade was so good and the meat so tender that I ate it anyway. Service was also very good. The only drawback and it is a big one: LOUD due to poorly designed acoustics. When they open up the large deck out back it will be a must.

I would probably give 6 stars if it were possible. We had a great time tonight. Ate in the bar area at a very comfortable and spacious table. Our waiter Nick was the best. Personable and very friendly, as well as thoroughly up on the menu. Had the brisket burgers. Cooked perfect, tasted great. Also had the pulled pork sandwich and spring rolls. Equally as good. The pretzel bites were well worth it. Definitely worth a visit.

This was the first time we visited Pure North Fork. We were beyond delighted! First off, the staff is AWESOME! From Ryan to Nicholas to the manager Crystal, every single person was just amazing! My husband and I cannot begin to say how impressed we were with their attention to detail and their absolute resolve to making sure their customers are satisfied. Kudos to everyone from the chef down! AMAZING! Then to the food and drinks. TOPTOPTOP quality and selection. Their craft beer selection is fantastic and their cocktail menu just fabulous! Their menu is unique and delicious. We couldnt decide what to have, so we will make sure we go back to have everything we wanted to try. We had some apps. The pickles were just absolutely delectable. I LOVE pickles and was tickled pink that I could have pickles! To say we recommend this great place is an understatement. I had been there many times in its former incarnation and the redo of the bar and restaurant are impressive. Even the bathrooms are beautiful! Kudos to Pure North Fork. You have new customers for life! I am a VERYVERY picky person when it comes to food. I love quality. Im a bit of a food snob. ANYONE who gives this place bad reviews really is off target. No place is perfect, but this place really was great. Went there at 4pm and by 7 pm the bar was PACKED! As the evening progressed, the dining room got fuller. Who cares where a person sits to eat. as long as the food is good and people are satisifed, that is all that matters! We met the NICEST people that are local to us and cant WAIT to go back.

We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful, professional, sincere, service we received from Brianna. We had no expectations since it was our first time. The menu apparently recently changed and for us it did not disappoint. We had the fried calamari which was perfectly seasoned and the onion soup which was delicious. We both had the Tuna special and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly rare! They even brought me sea salt(I love sea salt) on request. We only drank a glass of wine so we can’t comment on the drink list. Wine was good! We had fun trying the desserts! We tried the trio tasting… all where very good but the stand out was the Almond Apple Crisp! Great fun presentation of the desserts. We highly recommend this place…(even if it was our first time). If you’re hesitant to go in I suggest to enjoy a few apps and a glass of wine/beer/cocktail and judge for yourself. We can’t wait to return! Keep up the great work and Thank You to the staff for making our evening an enjoyable one! See you soon!

We went early afternoon on a Friday. The staff was very attentive. We had the cheese board, the mac and cheese and the Reuben. All very delicious and reasonably price. The interior is very clean like it had been newly redone. We went in March on a rainy day, but from we saw the outside it is stunning in the summer time. Cannot wait to return.

Ordered hanger steak. Came sliced on top of arugula. No sides. Wife had burger which was good but not great. Craft beer selection was ok but not great. Surprising since it has«Craft Bar» in it’s name. Wednesday at 6pm and no one was in the dining room. Handful of people in the bar area. Hopefully management will take notice and make some much needed changes.

My family and I frequented this location when it was Blackwell’s, which we enjoyed. I think they did a nice job renovating the space in transforming it into Pure, creating a larger bar area and a nice sized light and airy dining room. They have a large craft beer menu, which is always a plus for me. Ambiance is lovely. The food is very good, portions could be a little more for the money. Service could use some work. My husband and I ordered a scallop appetizer that I believe was a special that night, which was very tasty but it was small — only included 3 tiny scallops. The Almond Apple Crisp dessert that I got was absolutely delicious! Service was just adequate; some waitstaff seemed a bit disoriented that night as they served us another table’s order and one person in my party started eating the dish before they realized the mistake. I would still go back and hope that these wrinkles are ironed out by then.

Went here Friday night for dinner. I should first note that we came here, when it was a steak house, often and loved it. Well as they say«all things change». Unfortunately not always for the better. A little surprised that at 7:00PM there was only one other couple in the restaurant for dinner. This should have been a red flag, but we missed it. First, no salt & pepper on the table, not on any table. Apparently the chef is very confident in his ability to season his dishes perfectly or he is very arrogant. We decided the latter. My wife and I both ordered the marinated flank steak. They came out buried under a huge pile of arugula. So much so that at first i thought it was a salad. Steak was very tuff so we sent it back. The manager, a lovely lady, offered a second choice so we went with fish, Montauk Flounder, and Miso Salmon. Both so so. By the time we left there were four tables, again Friday night. Service very very slow almost non existent. We actually wanted coffee but were afraid we wouldn’t get out till midnight. I know this restaurant is new and they have a lot of kinks to work out, but life is short. Don’t think we’ll be back. Sorry

This building has never quite figured out what it wants to be… it was a dark wood and leather steak place, then a burger pub. It’s been a natural foods spot, then back to a steak place and now it has reinvented itself again as «Pure». This time, new ownership is going for a «North Fork lifestyle» pub and restaurant and they’ve obviously thrown a ton of money into redecorating this place to give it a fresh, light, open look. The atmosphere is pleasant but most of the story here is about the look. The host staff and servers are professional and get you right to your table. The menu is pleasant with a number of dining options… Tapas, Pizzas, full meals and sandwiches, nothing ambitious or extraordinary going on here; it’s about the same menu you’ll find at a lot of these«North Fork» style restaurants. To keep it simple, I went with a Strip steak and Caesar Salad… My review? «Meh». The salad was iceberg, diced too small and overloaded with an unimpressive dressing, the steak was chewy and topped with a sugary brown gravy – Not what I am looking for, I’d rather taste the meat. Two of my table mates ordered Flounder which came almost as a casserole. The other had Duck that was moist and tasty. Our overall impression? Not bad, not good. We all prefer food to stand on its own two feet, we felt the«over presented» nature of the food made it a bit«school lunchy». Nothing bad, nothing memorable. It’s early it «Pure’s» run so we would go back, I can easily see having a burger and a beer in the light airy bar room and watching«the game» but the restaurant? It was just«Meh». Oh and BTW, points off for awful wooden chairs that will numb your buns.

So this restaurant used to be called Blackwell’s & recently reopened under a new name & has been completely renovated. Once we heard Pure was opened we didn’t waste any time coming to check it out. The renovation they did is absolutely gorgeous. You can tell they really put a lot of time and effort into it. We came for dinner & were seated in the main dining room. They also have a bar area as well as a separate room where you can only order off the Tapas menu, which I would like to try on one of our next visits. We decided to start with the calamari appetizer to split. The portion size in my opinion was small but that was fine being that I never like to fill up before my entrée. The calamari was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes & baby bok choy & I ordered the miso glazed salmon with baby bok choy & melted leeks in a lemon mushroom consume. Both entrees were excellent. I’ll be getting that salmon dish again when we return. At the end of our meal we decided to split the crème brulee & we were so glad we did. It was absolutely delicious. The views of the golf course from the restaurant are very nice, especially as the sun is going down. And in the warmer weather they have an outdoor patio & large fireplace that look like a nice spot to enjoy a drink after dinner. Our waitress, the servers and bus people were all very attentive and friendly. There was also a very nice gentleman, most likely the manager, who was walking around & asking diners how everything was, always a nice touch in my book. Oh and last but not least… the craft beer list !! Holy cow was I in heaven. What a great selection. Looking forward to returning soon with friends of ours who used to frequent this place when it was the old Blackwell’s. They are going to be blown away.

This place is awesome! It offers a varied and reasonable priced menu, great selection of beer and wine – many local – the place is gorgeous and the service was great. Since it was our first time there we opted for the small plates menu to check out the chef“s talents. Two of us split a salad and 5 small plates – including mushroom and whipped goat cheese toast, coconut shrimp with a spicy chili sauce, a very thin flatbread with white sauce, cheese and bacon, a pork belly over apple chutney and my favorite, the duck egg roll. An extensive craft beer list included local favorites like Long Ireland and Blue Point Brewery. We were so full we had to pass on dessert, but next time saving room, some of the creative and housemate gelatos and sorbets sounded amazing. Loved this place and plan to return again soon!

We were happy to see the long awaited opening and renovations were worth the wait. Visually, you will immediately notice that it looks like a team of carpenters have been busy transforming the place into an open and more casual dining experience. The custom wood bar tables give it a warm and unique touch as well. If you like custom beer selections this place has lots of local breweries which I was happy to see. It adds to the theme of supporting local business which we saw they also do with vegetables from farms in town. To start, our appetizer was fried calamari which was done well. We had the filet mignon and the flounder which were both excellent. The parmesan fries were new to me but they had a pungent kick that I liked. We saw the bar menu as well had some much lower priced dinners if interested as well. We will have to come back and try it. Lastly the service was very personable and friendly as with the very engaging chef making a presence afterwards to ask for feedback from the patrons. You don’t see that much!

Stellar food in a gorgeous atmosphere. It was well worth the wait for the interior to be finished. The lighting and tables are beautiful. The only thing better is the food. Each item is perfectly prepared and presented. The flatware and plating match the décor and food style perfectly. Would recommend it to anyone whether for a casual evening, to sit in the bar and watch some games or date night.
