Love this place. I’ve tried a lot of coffee over the years, but nothing tastes as good as this. I love the«holiday» drinks. One of my favorites is Salted Butterscotch! I really enjoy the friendly baristas, too. My favorite barista is Keilli; her customer service skills are outstanding! Plus the flavored powders they sell inside the store so you can make-your-own-at-home is just as tasty as the in-store drinks.

This was a Seattle person in search of a strong cup of coffee and this fell flat! Good medium roast coffee but not a good strong cup that we were looking for … This is a pass for us. Great pastries and nice employees

The coffee was tasty, the price was significantly cheaper than a lot of the nearby options, the large cup actually was, and they had free cookie samples! Don’t question it, just do it!

Visiting Maui from California and after a long run discovered this The Coffee Bean in the wailea shops. It is a family run store and is absolutely the best coffee shop I’ve ever visited! The great assortment of fresh baked goods are local Sandwiches, wraps and salads available. And the coffee drinks are wonderful. I finally found a 32 oz iced coffee with crushed ice – not a 20 oz that is mostly ice! Wish I could find this on the mainland…

I’ve been reluctant to return to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf since The Shops at Wailea(damn the new owners) started charging an absurd amount for parking. That being said, I miss this place. I used to close it down most nights of the week when I was working on various manuscripts, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. Their coffee is always, always terrific – their Breve latte is, as the kids used to say, the bomb – and the café is kept in pristine condition. Plus? Their baked goods, made locally, are fresh and fantastic. It’ll forever be one of my number one places to chill out, get some work done, and talk story with the baristas.

The drinks are great no doubt about it, but so many new baristas that just don’t know how to use the computer and can’t make drinks and they ALWAYS forget your pastries NEEDSBETTERSERVICE!!!

Nothing like a good strong cup of coffee for lunch! While running around on Maui yesterday, I really didn’t have time for lunch, so upon finishing a job in the Kihei area, I decided to drive down the road towards Wailea, to see if I could find a restaurant I was looking for, and do some«scouting» in the area for this particular restaurant. Upon getting into — The Shops at Wailea, I found what I was looking for as far as the restaurant I want to try out(this will happen next month), and upon walking around I came across the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Store. If you like Starbucks, Peets, Philz, Seattle’s Best, Honolulu Coffee Company… yada yada yada… well, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is similar. You know… the overpriced designer cup of coffee! Lol! Upon walking into the store, there a few people in front of me, but they move the line pretty quickly. Upon getting to the counter to order… I asked the girl to give me the strongest cup of joe they have available. Got my 20 oz. cup of joe & found a spot in the store to sit a bit to relax. Service was okay. Store was clean, and had a very nice décor.

I was so happy to see a Coffee Bean here at the Shops at Wailea. I knew that would be my stop in for early morning drink during my visit. I was a little disappointed, sad to say. I walked right in and ordered my usual drink of Double Vanilla tea latte. The gal was so confused and didn’t know how to ring it, I felt her pain, so I changed it to a Tropical Passion tea latte. She then asked me if I wanted that as a double… Oh no, young lady, please don’t ring that twice. My tea came out okay and sweetened, so that made me happy, but tea taste was a little light. Location is hidden from main mall area, it’s off to the side wing by Coldwell Banker, facing the Wailea Marriott hotel. It’s clean and there are a few tables inside as well as outside. I didn’t go here for the remainder of my trip, but I’m hoping that on my next visit, it’ll be better…

Just three words for local people — lihing mui lemonade! Amazingly good! Got this figuring I wouldn’t have to share with hubby(he’s not a li hing mui fan) but he ended up drinking most of it! Gotta go back for more.

After 3 unimpressive visits, I can’t give any more than 3 stars. In one word: inconsistent. Today my drink was wrong 3 times, but the last time I just said give me black coffee and get me outta here. It was a zoo and took 15 minutes to waste my money and not get what I ordered. The service has also been inconsistent for me. I’ve had everything from staff: friendly, helpful, ignored and acting annoyed. They do have smoothies, tea, coffee, pastries, and even some gluten free options too. There is little indoor seating and several nice tables outside. This place can get crowded in the mornings. I went here because I wanted a break from Starbucks, but I wouldn’t say this is a good solution. If you’re in the area, there is another coffee shop upstairs at the Shops of Wailea that I’ve had better experience with so far. Go try it or take your own risk here.

5 stars for my drink 2 stars for the service. Sherry was flustered. Huffed and puffed when I had a couple questions and asked for a stamp card. I ended up with the wrong drink, and then she tried to tell me it’s what I ordered when I didn’t. They fixed it and it tasted great. Just wished I had some better service. Maybe it was just a bad day… Who knows.

Always favored Coffee Bean over starbucks. This one is no exception. Chai Tea is my preference and just like on the Mainland, it is much better than starbucks. Staff is extremely nice and they do a nice job remembering you and your order. Even offer a discount to mall employees which is nice.

Really peppy staff and even serves their coffee in «real» cups just like when I was in Brazil and Barcelona. Was really looking for a quick pick me up and found it.

Holy Cow $ 6 for a cup of Coffee. Well everything is jacked up in Wailea. This shop is located in the Shops at Wailea, which is a great place for a stroll on Black Friday.

Didn’t know there was a Coffee bean in Maui until the boyfriend and I went shopping at the Shops at Wailea. This shop is located in the entryway leading to Sunglass hut and Lapperts. I know I shouldn’t complain about the price, since we are, after all, in Wailea… but man, a large ice blended was upwards of $ 6.00. Good thing Maui’s tax is lower than Oahu! They have wi-fi and close at 9:00 p.m. Have some other pastries like brownie cookies and muffins, but at the time that we went at 6:00, they were pretty empty. Standard CBTL fix.

I have always been a big fan of The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf but this store gets some extra cheers because not only do they sell some of my favorite drinks but they also sell Bubbies Mochi icecream. Yum. So if you are in need of some caffeine and some sweet treats, you should check this coffee shop out! By the way, my favorite drink is the«Pomegranate Blueberry Tea Latte.» It’s a combination of green, oolong, and black teas, with an infusion of blueberry and pomegranate flavoring. It is an extremely aromatic tea. Mixed with milk and vanilla powder, it makes a delicious, sweet and fruity tea latte.
