Best. Spa. Ever. With my past experiences at grand hotels/resorts, although the spas look luxurious, the treatments themselves lack quality. Awili Spa in the Andaz Resort is AMAZING — from top of the line customer service to all the services they offer. My husband surprised me with a complete spa day that included a body scrub, scalp massage/treatment, milk bath, massage, facial, lunch at the cabana at the pool and ended with a pedicure afterwards. I was led into a personal massage room with a shower, tub, restroom, sitting area, and breathtaking view of the resort and ocean. Every single staff I encountered went out of their way to make me feel special. And I am no one special — just your average, busy mother who just turned 34, whose husband wanted to spoil for the day. And that is exactly how I felt-SPOILED and pampered to the max. I would love to thank Chanel, jamie, PJ, Robin, and Katie for your beautiful smiles and for making my experience extremely special and memorable. You ladies are so awesome, THANKYOU!

Bottom Line: Schedule a deep tissue massage with G if you can… Tiana is also amazing. I’ve had a lot of so-so massages at hotel spas, but keep going back… because even a so so massage is pretty good. This was not a so-so massage. In fact, I spent 20 minutes trying to convice G to move to San Francisco so I would be able to see him all the time! My first massage was with Tiana. She had an amazing, calm, soothing, welcoming presence. She had a great technique and my deep tissue massage was so lovely and healing. She even went so far as to leave me a note at reception with some recommendations for local places to try. I LOVED this massage. She was great. So great, I booked another one.(I know… greedy.) I was matched with G, though I am sometimes hesitant about male massage therapists. G’s energy was amazing. He truly listened to my requests and used a bunch of different techniques to help my body relax and feel AMAZING. It came as no surprise that he is a yoga teacher also, and studied massage in Brazil, Japan, India, and Maui. The facility is clean, new, and has all the standard amenities(hot tub, sauna, steam room, hair dryers, etc.) It was very comfortable. I will be back to the Andaz, if only to see G again! Someday…

I had a nurture, or prenatal massage, with jamie on 9÷21÷15. i am currently 15 weeks and had never had a prenatal massage in the past. i have had MANY massages when not pregnant and this by far was the best massage i have ever had! she even massaged my face and head! at the end, she did an exfloliating foot scrub. i am a physician and i don’t think there was a muscle group she missed. i did a 90min massage which i think helps get all the key areas as well. i HIGHLY recommend jamie for a massage while you are visiting maui! worth every penny! mahalo :)

We had a spa credit, so I decided to book a massage. The hot stone massage was very nice, but the facilities are lacking in comparison to the Spa Grande at the Grand Wailea. Moreover, the prices at the Andaz were far higher. Bottom line: skip the Andaz spa and go to Spa Grande. You’ll have a better experience and save money.

Today was my third visit for a massage by Jessica. I am greeted by name as I walk in the spa. The massages with Jessica have been extraordinary. Can’t wait to return in October. This is a very high end spa, beautifully decorated, very peaceful and with a very welcoming staff. I have been to most of the spas in the area over the past 24 years. This is now my favorite spa in Maui.

The Spa looks nice, modern and on the expensive side. People look sweet. We thought that would be a nice place to go for a special occasion when our family visited and stayed in the hotel. I have received over a hundred of massages in my life. The quality of treatments is below average though. I am not sure what the reason is. I have talked to one of the workers and was told they have several different licenses, so I was curious if the person who was massaging me was actually a massage therapist. My aunt got a bad itch after the treatment. LOL.))) Maybe she was allergic, not sure. Anyway, definitely does not worth the money spent unless you are ready to waste $ 200+ bucks to lay in a pretty room receiving a $ 30 bucks massage.

Jaime is the strongest masseuse I’ve ever met! She is a tiny lady who can tell by looking at you what is wrong with your muscles. I had been suffering from hip and neck pain for months from a combination of sitting at a desk all day, running and barre method. She took one look at me and told me what I already knew– my whole right side was tight and constricted. She worked out all the pain I had in my shoulders, back, neck and hips. Some of the pressure points she just held and I could feel all tension releasing. I’ve had therapists sit there and dig their elbows in, rub for 10 minutes, etc. and all Jamie did was apply pressure. But a lot of pressure, she is strong. Afterward, I sat in the steam for a nice detox and sipped on vanilla bean infused water. Then I soaked in the whirlpool for a half an hour. It was the most amazing thing and I wish I lived closer, I would go there every month. If you really want to relax on your vacation, I highly recommend starting out with a day at this spa! $ 200 bucks with tip, but worth every penny!

The Omakase experience with Theresa cannot be missed at this spa! Designing your own oil elevates your massage experience to an entirely different level of comfort and relaxation. The spa products by COOLA and MALIE are wonderful – perfect keepsakes of your time there. The ambiance of the spa blends well with the Andaz’s contemporary-posh aesthetic. I would suggest spending an entire day in Wailea. Beach, spa, dinner at Morimoto, then cocktails at the pool bar. Ask for Coco she’ll treat you like family.

Absolutely above and beyond what I expected or have been accustomed to here on Maui… Can’t wait to get back !
