The Philly cheese steak was excellent. The environment also good. I would rate this place 5 stars but the woman behind the counter didn’t seem very excited to serve us. That was a very brief interaction though so I would go back.

I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. The Philly Cheesesteak is one of the best I’ve ever had. I added all the options. Fries were great too! My boys had their pizza for the first time and loved their slices so much we bought a whole pie to take home. They said it was the best pizza they ever had. My wife got a small salad and said its one of the best little garden salads she’s had in a while. The prices were good on everything which is one of the many reasons we keep coming back for more.
Dave is always the greatest. He is half the fun of coming here and always treats us like family.

Best Calzones Ever! My husband and I ordered calzones here about once a week when we lived on island. Iv’e had a few other items on the menu that were good as well but rarely ordered anything else. If you order during busy times it can be a little slow and we had our orders messed up a few times but the owner is a nice guy and the food is good so it’s not a big deal.

We had been out all day on the road to Hana and just wanted something we could stop in without cleaning up. We checked Unilocal and found this place. True to the reviews we met Dave (the owner) the moment we walked in. He and the staff were friendly and the food was fantastic!
Edit: the homemade cheesecake is amazing!

I stumbled upon this spot on my last day on Maui recently. The service was exceptional and the pizza was really good and fairly priced. I enjoyed the outdoor seating as it looked out on an older Maui.

A+ friendliness, A+ food, A+ atmosphere.
This little place is tucked in the corner of the busiest street in wailuku. Really glad I stumbled upon it. I ate:
Chicken Caesar salad– was surprised to find the portion size of this salad a meal in itself, the chicken was tender and didn’t require a knife. I usually prefer my Caesar a bit more rich but the fresh Parmesan really stands out on this salad. One thing that I found really enjoyable was the red peppers in the center used as a garnish for color. I would vote to throw a handful in the salad and mix it with it, added a nice mild bit to the salad.
Veggie slice pizza– first thing I noticed about this is was that they appeared to have made me one slice rather than reheat one out of a box. The dough was excellently prepared, I would prefer larger toppings.
Overall, great experience will be back when in this area.

Real NY style pizza and Italian food. Born and raised in NY, and when I need good home style pizza this is where I go. The meat lasagna on Fri is also yummy, and comes with a salad and drink at lunch. They always have a good lunch special. My son loves it here as well, and they are great with him.
Service at times is more NY rush than Maui Aloha, that’s my only complaint and reason they get 4 stars.

As soon as you walk in it feels like home, all the pictures on the walls of Daves family and friends and organizations and schools he sponsored. Feels just like home.
The food was amazing! Dave recommend his home made mozzarella sticks and omg delicious! I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and my husband gotta the pesto pizza slice. WINNAH WINNAH!
Overall my first time here was great. Met Dave the owner a real nice guy, got served with Aloha and his fantastic dishes. Now that’s how you run a business! Mahalo Dave for your aloha!

So our first meal on Maui was Italian. Yes, I said Italian. We were really hungry and this was the closest spot that was out of the airport area and on our way to our eventual destination.
We ordered chicken wings, veggie pizza and Philly cheese steak. Wings were small and dry. Pizza was thin crust style and was soggy in the middle but probably because there were so many veggies on there. The prize food piece here was Philly cheese steak. Juicy meat, great flavor with the right proportions of meat, cheese and bread.
Nice spot if you’re in a hunger lunch.

My calzone was alright but it took over 30 minutes… for 1 calzone. I may order takeout from them but I probably won’t dine-​in again.

Next time your in Maui skip out this place. It’s a nice set up, although staff and history of the place is great the food is nothing special and it’s super over price. For two slices and a drink your looking at around 17 $ and once again pizza is greasy thin crust and topping just don’t look appealing. last resort place to grab pizza I would go here other wise don’t bother. Grease will upset your stomach and your pocket and belly will be empty.

Since your pizza choices on Maui are fairly limited, I decided to check this place out. Large pepperoni comes under $ 20 bucks which is a pretty good value, but their pizza is average at best.
Dough is mediocre, sauce has sauteed onions in it (and I mean whole onions, bud and basal plate as well), which makes it quite pungent (very apparent on re-​heat the next day), and pepperoni tasted cheap.
This being Maui, I went in with low expectation so there was no let-​down. Will I be back? Unlikely.

(Item # 1) deluxe no bell peppers, add mushrooms (basically all meat) and its good.
And for the big ticket item… Drum roll… please… This item is not on the menu…
(Item # 2) A Fried eggplant calzone, added red sauce (pizza sauce), shredded mozzarella cheeSe and sliced fresh mushrooms, … Simply… speechless… This simply wins awards, only down fall, i mean only down fall, size of calzones have been getting smaller and price is getting higher… But the flip side is im losing weight eating here, i guess… Lol. … It was only $ 13.00 a calzone, i ate both of them and i could have eaten a salad if i was still motivated if not another one and still be hungry…
Now keep in mind One bbq chicken plate lunch from L&L at $ 7.00 would be more food… But once again this eggplant calzone was taking names, suggest eating it for dinner and not lunch due to cost lingering in my mind…$ 13.00 dollars for a petite dinner is a great price… $ 13.00 for a petite lunch isn’t… But… I believe i will order 2 eggplant calzones this Friday for lunch… Im sold on this…

I grew up eating subs in Massachusetts. It was a big part of my diet growing up, and I loved them. I lived in NY for 10 years before moving to Maui. In my opinion Giannotto’s has the only real subs on Maui. I always get the Italian, but their cheesesteak is off da hook as well. They ship the bread in from Philly, and it really makes all the difference. If you’re coming from Lahaina like me, you might want to get two… Their pizza is good too, so check it out.
It would be awesome if they stopped using styrofoam though… Subs taste better wrapped in paper; for me anyways.

The pizza was average at best. The staff was sub par. I was disappointed to say the least and would advise spending your money and getting your pizza fill somewhere else. Hell even the water tastes like crap, no joke.
Save your money. And time.

Very delicious Italian salad. We had a large pizza pineapple, and meatball thin crispy crust.

we just waited at least 45 minutes for the food to come to our hotel. Their store was 2 miles away from the hotel, so we wish we should’ve drove there instead. We ordered the calzone deluxe!
Would definitely order again when we come back to Maui!

Fantastic! Ordered delivery. Fast, friendly and suggestive. The food is delicious! Full of flavor. Hot on arrival. Desserts were exceptional! This has gotta be a weekly thing for my household!

I came here on a hot day to get some calzone but even though i had to wait 15 mins. For it, trust me its well worth it. The guys were awesome, on their game. They didnt forget me & kept me updated on the times.
There’s no AC in there but just smelling the pizza… Omgeeeee it made me more hungry, lol.

Pros: Delicious food
Cons: Hot, long wait, unfriendly staff, inconvenient location
I love the food, but the cons outweigh the pros…, what a shame!
Will probably not return.

I’m bumping my review up from 2 stars to 4. My husband picked us up some pizza and we were both very impressed with how AWESOME it was. Orders go quicker if you phone them in in advance. Still not my first choice to go and have lunch, but definitely better than my first impression.
