I’m not sure if they’re still open in the Main Street Promenade food court, but they do serve at the Wailuku First Friday event. FOOD: Royal Plate — It’s a 5 item plate for $ 8 consisting of chow mein, beef broccoli, mochiko chicken, crispy gau gee, and salt & pepper shrimp. The chow mein was mainstream but good. The beef broccoli was flavorful but the broccoli was overcooked. Some pieces of the mochiko chicken were rock hard and inedible, and overall lacked flavor and mochiko breading. The single piece of deep-fried gau gee had good flavor and was cooked perfect. The shrimp was lightly breaded with a mild savory flavor. SERVICE: The staff are friendly. OVERALL: Good price & portion size.
