I do not recommend this place. Food tasted old and everything tasted the same. My impression is a Chinese family moved to Maui and said«let’s start a food business». Unfortunately, their idea of good Chinese food is not the same as mine.

I can’t even give this place a star at all but because this Unilocal makes me I give them a 1, ate here with my family, I had the loco moco and to only notice after eating half the plate that there was a roach cooked between my patties I showed the lady who by the way was very rude & she snatched out my had n threw it in the trash, before I could even do anything else she gave me my money & told us to leave, I reported them but I can’t believe that they are still open.

Gross food and rude people behind the counter pretty much dim sums this place up. Panda Express has this place dominated in every way, how sad. I had a sick feeling about walking in but thought I’d give it a shot anyway. Several days from fresh would be a good food description and it’s also very expensive for a Restaraunt in a gas station parking lot. The old man behind the counter was a complete jerk. I nicely asked him for a napkin after I got my food, they were within inches of his hand. He rudely said, «wait», and then he disappeared into the back for 5 minutes. I would rather eat dog food than go back in here. Good luck with you stupid business!

Mike’s isn’t the best Chinese food, it’s just average. The chowmein was not bad, the kau yuk was like packet seasoned? They try to do a pork and peas I’d imagine Filipino style, but weak. stick to what you guys should know best, is Chinese, and even that was just ok.

Not impressed. The worst Chicken Katsu I have ever had. Nothing remarkable about the mac salad or rice. My friend had the pumpkin and beef stew and was very happy. I think they are too ‘hit & miss” to give a good rating to. They need to narrow their menu and not just bang out what they think people want… just cook what you are good at. If I want to gamble, I’ll go to Vegas.

Affordable, but I wouldn’t go back. Maybe it was just end of the night, but everything we ordered did not taste fresh. I didn’t finish my meal, and didnt care to save it, also service wasn’t very friendly

This place is absolutely awful! I ordered a NY steak combo and BBQ mixed plate. The funniest part is that the lady asked, «How do you want your steak cooked?» I guess I said I wanted it cooked bubblegum style, because that is what I got… an overcooked, shriveled piece of tasteless steak with a thick border of fat. The BBQ mixed plate was a joke too. Two tiny pieces of chicken, 1 kalbi and 1 piece teriyaki. Sooooooo ridiculously small. I double checked to make sure I didn’t order the keiki plate, but I was charged regular price. Oh, and I ordered fries for $ 3.50. Cold, keiki portion of fries. My kid said, «these fries are yucky.» When do you ever hear a kid say that? When I told the lady that I was going to write this Unilocal review, she said she didn’t understand… of course!!! Go to Pearls instead. This place is pitiful.

Wide array of local Chinese, Japanese, cuisine. Oxtail Soup is legit, expensive at $ 14.95 but close to zippy’s! Mixed plate is average price compared to main stream pandas but good value on all local entrees: chicken katsu and roast pork. Be prepared for poor service as all workers or family glare at you as if your aliens! LoL no joke! Tip of the day act like a New Yorker and bark for what you need whether it be condiments or extras! They will help you but you need to be assertive! :) Overall it beats mintz stop quality next door! If you looking for service and quality this is not for you! Go Lahaina or Kihei!

My boyfriend and I really liked this place. Looked like their oxtail soup was a winner with the other patrons who looked like locals. I had the Chicken Katsu plate and it was delish. BF ordered the ribs and was really happy. We also tried a side of their teryaki meatballs and those were super good. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, service was quick, food was great with generous portions and was inexpensive. We came back a few times during our visit to Maui. Good job, guys. :)

Just ok. Same type of menu as L and L and they have a hot line as well. The choices are pretty good and pretty good prices and portions. Good location with adequate parking.

ATMOSPHERE: Located in a small strip mall in Wailuku. Buffet-style ordering. They used to do plated service with delicious made-to-order Chinese dishes but no more. FOOD: House Won Tun Ramen — Okay. Broth taste was very good. A clear, salty, veggie-taste. Noodles were the thin cake noodle style, which is odd in a ramen dish, but it worked. Came topped with chicken, zucchini, won bok, char siu, mushroom, broccoli, carrot, shrimp and of course won tun(3 big pieces that were filled to the edges of the won tun! Usually you get all won tun and no filling). My only gripe was that the noodles were probably not hot when the broth was combined, because it arrived medium/hot, not piping hot. Chow Fun — Normal chow fun comes with ground pork but Mike’s makes it with only chicken or beef, not pork which is odd, and they use cabbage instead of traditional bean sprouts, another oddity. It was good but tasted more like a stir fry with chow fun noodles. SERVICE: Fast & friendly. OVERALL: It’s just another L&L now, unfortunately.

Affordable food. Edible but not great. It may be unfair to use San Francisco Bay Area standard to judge a local Hawaiian Chinese restaurant. But their lunch is really nothing to write about. Perhaps they have better menu for dinner, but we’ve been there only once, so I don’t know. I don’t remember seeing other Chinese restaurants on the island, so if you are craving for Chinese food while visiting Maui, I guess this is it. I ordered a BBQ short rib which was quite good. One of my kids ordered a wonton noodle soup. She whispered to my ear, «Can I not eat the wonton?» «Why?» «I just don’t like it.» We taught our kids since young age not to waste food. So whenever they seek approval from us to skip a meal, it is a sign for 1 star. I added back another star because I liked their short ribs. Also the clanking noise of the spatula hitting the wok sounded quite authentic to me, and the smell coming out of the kitchen was pretty good too.

My husband and I tried this place tonight and loved it! He had the duck mein and I had seafood with cake noodle. So inexpensive and delicious. The lady there(probably the owner?) was so very friendly and welcoming, which certainly added to the experience. One tip, though – they do use MSG, but at your request, will do without it.
