Yummy coconut shrimp got us in the door, but the shrimp tacos were hands down better. Huge chunks of shrimp bathing in salsa tomato sauce, lettuce in a tortilla. A serving of 2 large tacos is easy to share. Awkward side of the road seating in junky chairs– but the food justified the stop.

$ 14 for non peeled shrimp. What a joke. Flies were everywhere. Terrible experience. Don’t waist your time or money!

Coconut shrimp is the best on the menu– I’ve had most of the menu! Delicious. The coconut shrimp is deep fried perfection. The shrimp is super plump and it’s a fun atmosphere. The garlic shrimp is also very tasty and shrimp tacos are Mexican and full of flavor.

I got the beer battered shrimp and it was really good. Definitely recommended. The food comes with French fries and a sauce. The fries are perfectly cooked. The shrimp is perfectly cooked, also.

I love everything shrimp and when we found this place — I died and went to heaven. The Cajun shrimp were amazing. I saw someone make a comment about how there’s too much sauce. No such thing! The portions were quite generous too, my husband and I shared since it came with two scoops of rice. The next time we came there was no sharing because it’s just too good. Get the Cajun shrimp you will be happy you did.

Nice little place we stopped at after our tour in waimea. Great for quick food. I got half of the cajun shrimp and half of the thai. Not the biggest fan of the cajun. But if you like spicy get the thai shrimp ! Alot more flavor. My husband also got the coconut shrimp which he enjoyed. Although he liked my thai shrimp better!

Nice spice on my order. Patio seating. A local favorite. Lots of business, but they get the orders out quickly. Basic, but clean bathroom. Easy access. Good parking off street.

This place is great. A little stop on the side of the road with plenty of parking and great food. They even have a restroom around the back that customers can use, which is very helpful. We had the coconut shrimp and the creamy sweet chili garlic shrimp. Both perfectly cooked and so delicious.

This place is fantastic! We came here for lunch after driving around Waimea Canyon. First — let’s start with the employees! Super friendly — kind and enjoyed talking with them for a quick minute! Mahalo guys and gals! Second– food fabulous! My hubby got the Cajun shrimp with rice and had great flavor. I got the shrimp tacos and they were awesome! If we had enough time I would definitely come back! We got the onion rings, which again were great, only thing was small portion for the price. It was basically $ 1 per onion ring but they were definitely good! Third — you should go! Totally recommend it!

I LOVE shrimp. Service was sweet and efficient. Quality I can see the draw. The ohana ordered the coconut shrimp basket and the Cajun shrimp plate. Will we come back? Sure. Is it phenomenal… not quite.

Stopped here on our way down from Waimea canyon. I checked reviewed before we set out for the island and it was a must stop. We got the coconut shrimp plate. Shrimp was great. We went right next door and for a shaved ice to go along with it. Check them out.

Great service! Nice parking lot and plenty of seating. I guess after having Giovanni’s shrimp truck, nothing is comparable. The flavor was good, very buttery and creamy sauce. My husband and I shared the half Cajun and half garlic butter shrimp plate with 2 scoops of rice. The shrimp was a bit over cooked but for $ 12.95. Not too bad, compared to the expensive taco place with the ride server across the street

The shrimp is good. BUT if u plan to have some beer with it – no luck! Beer batter and coconut shrimp both good. Large portions. Would be great if they had a sampler plate. Good for a lunch break after you visit Waimea Canyon. I guess you have to go to say u were there.

Garlic shrimp and coconut shrimp. So delish, worth going off of diet for. Garlicky creamy goodness sopped up by sticky rice. Papaya dipping sauce made the lukewarm barely cooked fries tasty. Can never go wrong witch perfectly cooked coconut shrimp. But the garlic shrimp is really to die for. Not best atmosphere alongside of the road, but who cares when the food is this good. Worth going back for. Get there early when they open at 11 o’clock or else you have to wait in line with everyone else.

Once again we stopped by for a quick bite after a beach hike up at Polihale. Quick service and lots of foot for $ 12.95. I ordered the shrimp tacos and won’t do that again. A little to chopped up for my tastes a and the sauce didn’t hit me with the right flavors. Others ordered the coconut shrimp which looked like the best option. Calories packed but yummy.

Great place to have local shrimp specialties. Come here for lunch after sight seeing in the Koke park and Waimea canyons. Once you had the shrimp, cool down in the Juice place next door

This place is a good example of how all the hype has eclipsed the fact it is carnival food quality. My wife and I stopped there on the way out of Kokee State Park and were not impressed. It’s nothing more than a shack on the side of the highway. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp. First, the sauce was not remotely what I’d call Cajun(I’ve lived along the Mississippi for about 35 years, so I know Cajun). It was more like a Vodka Penne cream sauce with a weird twist. It was very close to gross and I don’t say that about many things. Second, and more importantly, the shrimp were NOT peeled. Really? Why would they serve shrimp drowned in sauce and NOT peel them first? It’s a huge mess to try to peel them to eat. My wife ordered their«famous» Coconut Shrimp(they were peeled). They were alright, I’ll admit, but the batter tasted more like a funnel cake than coconut. They are the only reason I gave them 2 stars. Those two platters(with rice) and a single soda was $ 30 and I nearly threw out my plate I was so disgusted by it. In the end, the quality isn’t worth stopping for and the price is certainly not worth stopping for.

Mmmm… tasty shrimp! FOOD: I ordered the cajun shrimp and thought it was really really good. The cajun sauce was flavorful but not overwhelmingly spicy. The shrimp tasted fresh — as in it didn’t taste fishy at all. The shrimp was cooked perfectly– hot but tender, not chewy. The sides are limited… I got rice. But you come for the shrimp, and the shrimp was good! SERVICE&SPACE I felt the service was really good. The girl working behind the counter was sweet and the food came out fast. There is outdoor seating and you can wash your hands before and after eating at an industrial sink. It’s not fancy, but the town of Waimea makes for a great atmosphere while you eat. PRICE Not to shabby, because they give you plenty of shrimp on the plate for $ 13.

We stopped here for lunch around 1pm today. We ordered the garlic shrimps and the coconut shrimps. It took about 10 mins to get our food. Both items were pretty good. The garlic shrimps plate was flavorful and juicy. It came with a side of rice and potato. The coconut shrimps plate had too much coconut on the dough and not as good as the garlic shrimps. The patio has a few tables and chairs to sit. I had to take off 2 stars for the bathroom! It was super super super dirty and old. I don’t understand why they cannot spend some money to improve it.

Coming from New England I’m accustomed to great seafood. After reading all the reviews I was excited to try the shrimp station. I’m not a fan. My shrimp tacos look & tasted like mush. I was expecting succulent bites of shrimp. Instead I had baby food size pieces. My husband got the coconut shrimp. The serving size was generous but the shrimp were beyond overdone. We also got the Thai sweet chili & garlic shrimp. These were the best but again not worthy of another trip back for them. All in all disappointing.
