If you’re looking for a place to eat on the westside, stop by Gina’s for breakfast or lunch. The first time, I was craving a burger and got the teri beef sandwich and fries. The sandwich was drenched in sauce, which I would recommend having on the side since it’s a little sweet. My husband ordered the loco moco. I am not a fan of loco mocos but let me tell you, the homemade beef patty and gravy was on point. The next time we went my husband got a hamburger steak and chicken katsu plate and I was not disappointed. Overall, Kauai just knows how to make beef patties! I can’t wait to return and try their breakfast menu.

I love their plain grilled cheeseburgers. It is the same recipe as when it was Yumi’s café and tastes the same as when I used to get in the 80’s. My food came quickly, was yummy, and satisfying. 4 stars because a little too much ketchup and mayo in the burger(I rather add my own), and the price has gone up a bit since I had them.

We were lucky enough to meet Gina and her mother on our flight to Kauai and made a plan to visit her restaurant. We were very impressed! Great food at reasonable prices, friendly, fun atmosphere. Wished I could have come back for lunch sometime to try their burgers– next time we’re in Kauai… Highly recommended!

Gina’s is a great place to visit before or after driving Waimea Canyon. It has the feel of a small diner, super nice and helpful staff, and delicious food! I went there at about 11am on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. I ordered the Lava Burger and fries and my mom ordered the loco moco. Both were very good, came quickly, and were exactly what was needed to fuel up before the canyon drive. The other item that was recommended to us was the sweet bread French toast, so I’ll definitely be back to try it next time I’m on Kauai. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend to anyone who is hungry and rolling through Waimea!

Great place for breakfast or lunch! Good customer service, great food. If you’re hungry and don’t need to move for the rest of the day, get the Lava Burger. There really isn’t a bad choice on the menu. They also have random daily specials which are awesome as well. Our favorite lunch spot in Waimea!

Not a bad place for a quick bite to eat. Basic local foods from loco moco to chicken katsu and burgers. Definitely have to stop by for their coconut and apple turnovers.
