So by our last coast trip I had figured out Unilocal and it helped me find this little place. Yay Unilocal! We really enjoyed it. It is very small, it was pretty crowded, and yeah, the chairs aren’t so comfy and there isn’t a lot of room. But we dealt. My husband wedged paper under the table leg(again) to even it out, he usually does this anyway, even at super nice places. A nice fun man waited on us, worked the register, and I swear he went back to help cook, too. This is a small joint, run by a few people. But it was full of locals and everyone was friendly and easygoing. We thought the coffee was good, the eggs were fab, we all liked our big breakfasts and kid was happy with her hot chocolate and bacon. The toast was especially good as they make their bread themselves. We got a loaf to go home with us. I hope we can go again and that it’s not closed for good as Kathy H. noted. That would be sad!

This place is closed. Hopefully just during the winter season and not forever.

Food was huge! The service was awesome. I had the cinnamon raisin French toast and it easily fed two people.

High points: Great service, strong coffee, reasonable prices, delicious food– the breakfast and bakery items are especially good. Low points: Seating is terrible– it’s cramped, the chairs are uncomfortable, and there isn’t a level table in the entire place. I hope they keep doing enough business to be able to justify an upgrade to their location.

Great friendly service… food was perfectly adequate. Place needs a good top to bottom scrubbing.

I was 20 miles into a 60 mile day of bicycle touring. It was getting near lunch time and the sun had come out. I hadn’t yet had a full meal, just a cliff bar in the morning, and my stomach was growling for food. I stopped in Waldport looking for nourishment, and when Unilocal didn’t turn up anything I looked over my shoulder and noticed that I had stopped in front of a small bakery that had hand-painted signs in its window advertising that they served breakfast and lunch. I stumbled inside after taking care of my bicycle. I could barely form a full sentence, but the waitress recommended the fresh squeezed lemonade flavored with blueberries and ginger. The cook saw me from the back, and came out to mention that I looked like I needed a serious meal, and recommended the breakfast burrito. The waitress also said they had some great coffee. I ordered all three and sat down at a table. Over the next hour and a half, I drank a number of cups of delicious coffee, had a great glass of lemonade, was reenergized by a giant breakfast burrito, and met a constant stream of nice friendly people. The waitresses were great, and I talked with one about bicycle touring. The cook came out, and we talked about how their café was a popular spot for people that had grown sick of eating fried fish, and how they made all of their bread fresh. A couple locals came through and we talked about my bicycle and the trip I was taking. After way too much time spent here, I was sad to have to move on and continue on my trip. It was a wonderfully welcoming café with delicious food and good company. The food was hearty and delicious with a definite homemade charm. Definitely stop by if you have the chance.

Didn’t find this place until lunch time, but will definitely go back there for breakfast next time I am up that way. Awesome service, very fast and efficient. Refill your own coffee… Tilamook ice cream for dessert. Fresh scones and danishes and an awesome cranberry oatmeal cookie. Nice, homey feeling with cool décor. The Beatles playing over head as you eat… very cool place. Would recommend to anyone!

Plain Food, Mediocre Coffee, Rude Staff. While eating our run-of-the-mill breakfast, an older woman came in and made the HUGE mistake of picking up a wrapped loaf of bread to purchase. She was promptly admonished to put it back, and someone would get her a loaf from the back. Our breakfast was nothing special. As we were leaving — we were out the door on the sidewalk and were chased down by the«host» and told NOT to use menus(a single photocopied page) under the table next time. Well, we didn’t put them there in the first place, and there will certainly be no next time. Avoid this place unless you are starving and thick-skinned.

Spent the weekend in Waldport… not much to do except enjoy the peace and quiet. Stopped in to grab some coffee and pastry, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the espresso, and the tastiness of the pasty. I will most definitely stop in again the next time I am in the area and try the famous homemade crumpet bread French. toast

Quirky Oregon-granola semi-gourmet brunch place. We had brunch here on our way leaving the coast on Sunday, and quite enjoyed it. I had a smoked salmon omlet, which included local hot-smoked salmon — terrific! Also, of course, they have all their own bread. Coffee is good too, but then it is Oregon. Don’t expect high-class service; there was just one person working the restaurant and bakery counter, and he looked like he’d just woken up and threw clothes on 10 minutes before we got there. But friendly enough, and answered some questions for us about Waldport. Amusingly, with a table with 3 gourmet-ish breakfast options, what they messed up was the eggs over-easy. Would eat there again.

Extremely friendly staff, and a great breakfast. I had the breakfast special — spicy Louisana sausage scramble… it was top notch. Fresh organic ingredients — the eggs, sausage, and onions were all excellent. The fresh squeezed orange juice tasted great. The coffee was also very good(and organic). The bread was freshly made in the back, and there was even a sign telling us which breads were the most recently made. If I lived in town, I would be a regular!

Sea dog is a nice spot where locals congregate. The Tuesday breakfast is a super deal! The only bakery within miles

Fabulous food! The French Toast is some of the best we have ever had. My panini was crisp and well done. My husband’s was good but not crisp. The baked good are quite tasty. The bread is prefect. The staff is friendly and it’s filled with locals and not too many tourists. The atmosphere is nothing special but is homie and welcoming.
