my review from the Hong Kong Restaurant in Wallingford, CT if it is no longer on their website they removed it because they did not like it… Title: 12/30/15*RUDE/WINNIE*12/31/20158:57:55AM My order was merely missing an egg roll… All I needed was a sorry. Winnie asked me for my order number to look it up. I said it was obliterated from the staple on the bag. Winnie REFUSED to even discuss this w/o the order number. I said how is this now my fault. Are you asking me to rummage through my GARBAGE before you will even speak to me? Winnie still would not discuss an eggroll! W/o this number. Winnie was rude, incompetent, and not fit to be in charge of the store. Winnie claimed there was no owner, or manager there that night, Winnie was in charge. Winnie said hold on a minute and put the phone down to help other customers(I could hear it all). I said I cannot believe you put the phone down to help someone while I was in the middle of speaking to you about my issue. Wow! I pick up food here about once a week, sometimes more. All I needed was a simple sorry and Winnie would not even speak about anything w/o the order number. I had called 10 minutes after I picked up my food from an empty restaurant. Then next day Winnie answered again, refusing to give me her name, and said there was no owner or manager or anyone in charge again, the owner was on vacation. I also called another number I found online for the owner that happened to answer at the restaurant. Winnie said he was not there and then hung up on me. Winnie: all you had to do was say sorry when I called the first time! Andy Lin: all Winnie had to do was say sorry when I called the first time! Is she the same employee that everyone complains about? Or is everyone that rude and in? Should I have just dug through my kitchen GARBAGE like an ANIMAL just so Winnie could speak to me about an eggroll. Was Winnie really in charge of the whole place during your vacation? I wonder how many people she was RUDE to in your absence?

I had special order, nothing out of the ordinary. I am a regular– twice a week minimum. Every time I get the same thing — Egg Fu Young with gravy on the side. They put way too much gravy… but on the side, it is ok. This time the lady yelled at me because i wanted the gravy on the side. The food is so-so but the freaking lady is rude as heck. Like I said, I am a regular… check that… I used to be a regular. I will drive the extra ½ mile and get the nice folks at the competition. Rude, Rude, Rude… you have lost a loyal good customer.

I’ve eaten at Hong Kong a few times, and figured a review was finally in order. This is a small restaurant with both dine in and take out options. The dining room is small but comfortable. Floors, tables, and chairs are all clean and in good condition. They offer a typical Chinese menu, but also offer an extensive list of Susi option. Both menus have yet to disappoint. The food is made with quality ingredients and is always consistent. I Highly recommend you give it a shot.

Sorry Hong Kong you’ve lived up to the other bad reviews. Ordered delivery which took 45 minutes because the two delivery drivers apparently had a big fight. This coming from the mouth of the guy delivering the food. Ordered General Tso’s, Crab Rangoons, Shrimp and Broccoli and veggie fried rice. The other person had no problems with the shrimp and rice. My General Tso’s was cooked just OK. No crispiness to it. Just a bit soft. The flavor was decent but I kept getting a weird chemical flavor in my mouth. No idea what it would be from but it just raise a big red flag. The crab rangoons were ok but just lacked flavor. Price a was a bit steep for the quality of food. Not a good experience at all. I have yet to try the sushi but honestly I don’t think I can trust Hong Kong with my sushi when their normal dishes taste like chemicals.

I come here because it is close to my Wallingford stomping grounds. First time i tried cashew chicken and it was awful. Second time i tried the cold noodles with peanut sauce. It is literally noodles thrown in a container with lettuce and peanut sauce on the top. Other places I have gone to mix the sauce and lettuce in… Guess they are too lazy, but the price doesn’t reflect that. Then I tried the sweet and sour chicken which is an all time chinese favorite. Grease city. Finally I tried the General Tso’s and actually found something on the menu worth getting. All of these orders will run you about $ 10 which is standard, but never in my life until this day have I spent $ 9 on a quart of Fried rice. Wtf man, $ 9 on fried rice, something that if white and with nothing else comes free with your meal. The service is incredibly fast and the staff is very friendly, but what is going on elsewhere? I rarely have to wait for my food to be ready which is a plus, but if I do not enjoy anything I eat there and still pay top dollar for it compared to other chinese places that are extremely decent, why bother? This place is my last resort Chinese go to.

Ordered sushi from here and they deliver! Sushi was fresh and made to order. I got a three roll combo for $ 10 and then a special roll«mid orange roll» which honestly wasn’t worth the $ 10 all by itself. it was basically a super sized spicy salmon roll :/ It took 45 minutes for them to get here. not to to bad
