Stopped here on the way to New York from Boston. I didn’t know that in Connecticut, «café» means BAR!!! The Hertz GPS, listed it as a «coffee shop.» Sure enough Helen, the bartendress/waitress made me a cup of coffee… also a burger. Both were excellent. Plus, we had a long chat about local streets, thrift stores and life in the CT lane. This place was a real find! Thank you Hertz! This was certainly the friendliest café(aka Bar) of the trip!

First off dont even bother savoring your favorite drink Majority of the time there liquor stock is pitifully low ! Then whatever they have is nothing cheap stuff like Pinnacle Vodka if your lucky you might get Grey Goose. Now moving to the food Wings over priced 15.95 for 12 wings that are about thumbs length. The rest of the menu dont bother looking just ask what they have in the fridge right down to if they can give you a bun for your burger. I think a blind person does there ordering and if they run out of something why not run to a Grocery store but instead the young skinny girl who runs the place is too busy drinking and socializing with patrons rather then paying attention to her business. Complete joke of a business.

The staff here is friendly and attentive. I came in after they had a very busy evening and the owner sat down with me and apologized that they were out of a couple things on the menu before I even ordered!(She also pointed out which items those were.) It was above and beyond for customer service as far as I’m concerned. The environment varies, and you can find the crowd you’re looking for depending on what night you visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The bruschetta burger was delicious as was everything else I have tried. Overall, this is definitely a place you should try.
