I was once a religious customer of christos for lunch during the work week but things have gone from bad to worse. Many times when a group of us have ordered and all got the same dish all 3 dishes were made with different things when they should be all the same. Also every time we have ordered something is either missing, like a salad dressing or prepared wrong. Then to top it all off last week I ordered the special which was chicken broccoli alfredo and ended up getting food poisoning. I will never be ordering from christos again.

The food is great, pizza was phenomenal. Also the eggplant was a perfect appetizer choice. The bartenders have a great personality and were helpful in choosing a drink. Will definitely come back.

I’ve heard that Christos’s food is very good. Just wish we had the chance to try it. We walked in with a party of 10. A week prior, we’d called and they said they didn’t take reservations. Then when we walked in, they told us they couldn’t fit us because they had a 6 person reservation coming. Then some bald guy in sweatpants that apparently worked there found us in the parking lot and told us to get off his property. Not only was it not his establishment, but he was quite literally screaming in our faces while we had small children around. I won’t be supporting this business in the future.

We were not fans of Christos in their old location, but decided to give them a try in their new location. The pizza is much better. We love the thin crust New Haven style pie. We have had the mushroom, sausage and pepperoni and all three toppings are good. My wife loves the Brussels sprout appetizer. She tried their Brussels sprout pizza and did not care for it. I had their meatball grinder, which tasted great but gave me terrible heartburn. My aunt had their crab cakes, which she loved. What we don’t like about Christos is three things: 1. The loud, annoying music. The music they play is not appropriate for this type of restaurant. On two occasions, we have had to ask them to turn down the music so that we could hear what our server was saying. They did turn it down for a few minutes, but then the volume went right back up. 2. The tables are very cramped. We are far from«big». The problem is that you can’t get your feet in around the table legs. Removing one table would make a huge difference. 3. A lot of noise comes from the bar area. They should put up some type of sound barrier between the bar and the dining area. We really love their pizza but it’s not a great dining experience.

I love«well done» almost everything so when I saw christos advertising I was thrilled. Since then we have ordered regularly and also eaten in the restaurant. The pizza is my absolute favorite. Anyone that is over when we order feels the same. The service is also stellar. One night our delivery order was cold upon arrival and I messaged the and received an immediate response with an apology and a credit for my next order.

Horrible. Had a decent pizza there a few weeks ago. Thought we should give a «regular» dinner a try. Had the eggplant tower appetizer. Looks great in the menu. It tastes like a bottle of vinegar. We also tried the pasta fagioli. Had to send it back because there were pieces of uncooked pasta in it. Then I had the Rosemary shrimp. Um. It was simply shrimp over capellini tossed with what I can only describe as cream of chicken soup. Gross. My husband tried the shrimp Madeira which is shrimp and goat cheese wrapped in prosuto over pasta in a cream sauce. It tasted like eating salt straight from the box. Had to send it back. The place itself doesn’t know what it wants to be. A bar? A pizza place? A family restaurant? The music playing was techno and it was way too loud. The only good thing I can say about the place was the waitress was very nice and attentive. Overall a very, very poor restaurant. Will not be back and cannot recommend at all.

Treat customers terribly. People work too hard to spend their money somewhere in which an owner would yell at a customer for asking for their money back after their order was messed up not once, but TWICE. Go somewhere where you’ll be treated like you matter, because it certainly isn’t at Christo’s.

Best pizza and resturant in wallingford. Ifyou haven’t had the chance to go there, what ate you waiting for. They have a great menu. Been a customer of there’s since they first opened in the old location many years ago.

I’m from Western Mass and go to the sprawling boredom of CT as sparingly as possible. However, In the past few years, I’ve been playing metal shows in CT here and again, and always wind up in Wallingford at least a few times a year. One summer day, my wife and I were starving and outside in an oppressive fucking heatwave and wanted something besides the easily accessible garbage fast food on the other side of the railroad tracks. I saw a Christo’s pizza box behind the bar and figured I’d google it and order something for delivery because I was shithoused and needed something with grease and oil. This was my first experience with Connecticut pizza and I was a bit shocked at what was presented before me, as it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen in the wonders of the world. Nothing like what we have up here at all traditionally in Massachusetts. This son of a bitch was thin as loose leaf paper, crispy to no end with blackened char on the bottom(apparently it’s called WELLDONE in CT and not«burned», and now it’s how I prefer my pizzas), and had sparingly placed oily cheese on top with a definite huge cut of Romano/Parmesan. It’s the kind of pizza where the cheese kinda melds into the sauce and makes it a strange uniformed splatter color. My wife is from NJ and called this pizza«JERSEYSTYLEPIZZA» when I asked what the fuck we were looking at. *bonus tip– I asked a friend of mine who’s from NJ but operates a pizza parlor in NH about what exactly ‘jersey style pizza’ is because I refused to believe such a thing existed when my wife told me that cause I thought she was having a laugh, but his explanation was plain and simple– ‘it’s new york pizza but cheaper’. LOL. Case in point, this shit kicked ass. We went to town on a large between three people tailgating behind our SUV the first time, and then just ripped through one on our own last time we went. Apparently, this is more«new haven style pizza» according to some sources, but I really don’t care what you call it. I suggest you order a few rounds at a local dive and order one of these for delivery to the parking lot. 4⁄5 for the food. I’m not wasting time on prices, delivery service, hospitality, and so forth because I truly don’t care about that in a place like this.

Finally I was able to try Christos. Appetizer was very good and interesting. Service was fine. My dinner, a steak burger on a pretzel roll was a puzzle. No really, I couldn’t understand why my piece of steak was in 2 pieces. And I could not reconstruct them to their original state. I fear they were remnants from a prior dinner! Yuck! Yuck! The waitress was nice but should have alerted the manager. She did try to correct the situation with another dinner, beer or desert but I find it hard to recover from that mess. The tables were rather close and felt cramped. I won’t be back. Even the driveway was to tight to get a car turning in and out at the same time. Happy dining all.

Went to Christos new location down the road from the old place. They may have a new building but the food and service is still awful. Ordered a pizza, it was burnt and tasted bland. The Greek salad my friend ordered was warm and smelt funny. The girl that waited on us was rude and looked annoyed we were there. We ate around some of the burnt pizza and we just decided to get up pay and leave. I would be embarrassed to serve food like that. I should have remembered when we left unsatisfied at the old location. There are many great pizza places in CT and Christos needs to take a lesson from some of them. I won’t be back!!!

We went for an early dinner tonight at Christo’s. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. We both enjoyed our meals… I had the tri tip steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus and the fiancée had the short ribs with mashed butternut squash and asparagus. My steak was pretty tender and everything was perfectly seasoned. All entrees come with a good sized salad and garlic knots. I’m not a huge fan of their pizza(well done), but we will definitely be back for their entrees.

Ok, first let me say I do NOT understand why they only have 2.5 stars because they are one of the TOP pizza restaurants in Wallingford! We have loved this restuarant since it was in its first location near the movie theatre and we love it even more now. Our pizza was PERFECT. Crust was thin but not too thin and perfectly done but not burnt. Bacon was nice and crispy and not oily at all. The Greek salad for 1 fed 3! My only negative comment would be less raw garlic on the Margherita pizza(still delish though) and the wait was a bit long for our pizza BUT it was super busy and it was definitely worth the wait! To quote my son«Everything is SOOOO good at Christos»…give them a try you won’t be disappointed!

They say we’ll done, but seriously they down right burn their crust. If you like burnt chewy crust, then this is your place, otherwise, skip it. They use good mozzarella in their pizza I’ll give them that, but otherwise, not good at all. I’ve tried Homeland Pizza in Wallingford several times now and it’s much better. I’ll stick to that place.

I have mixed feelings about Christos. Since Family Pizza closed down this is one of the few places that delivers so I ordered a pizza and a salad and wings. The wings were so fatty that you could hardly eat any meat off the bone. The pizza crust was rock hard and burned to a crisp. Then they had the nerve to charge me a 5 $ delivery fee. No thanks I’d rather drive to Track side for good pizza then have you guys deliver me shit pizza with a fee.

I’m not really a pizza person. In fact I’ll only eat pizza at two place and one is Christo’s and the other is in New Haven. The pizza at Christo’s was amazing plain and simple. Our group of four ordered 2 medium’s and there was more than plenty to go around. The staff was friendly and the menu had so many amazing choices that I told my wife we may have to come back a few times.

Great pizza!!! It’s not burnt, it’s well done, ASITSHOULDBE!!! Finally good pizza close by. Also tried the gluten free and it was yummy. Picked up a couple of calzones for a party a few weeks ago, probably the best I have ever had.

I’ve always been a fan of Christos think crust, new haven style pizza. They were number 1 on our takeout list! Clearly business has been good for them, as they were able to move to the new establishment and do a wonderful job renovating the new space. Wallingford really needed a cozy hometown sit down restaurant, without the need for reservations or a big tab for 4 people. We started with a house salad, family sized. They offer a single serving or family style on a lot of the apps and salads, what a good idea. Generous sized, with fancy greens, they even let each guest choose their own dressing. We ordered two pizzas, one Brussel sprout and bacon speciality pie, and a traditional margarita. Both pies were excellent, their crust is fantastically thin and a little burnt, which us haven county-ers love. Only thing I’d change on the Brussel pie would be to shred the sprouts and use pancetta instead of bacon, but that’s just me! We’ll be back, def want to try their entrees!

We tried out the new Christos location and really enjoyed it. The inside is much different from the old location. The ceilings are high, the interior is bright… really nice. We didn’t make it to the bar, but it’s a large open area and looks sharp. I went with a Margherita Pizza; my wife a salad. The salad was big! Plenty to share if needed. My pizza was really good. I did not find it too burnt at all. They sauce their Margherita and add tomatoes; so it can be a bit more moist vs a traditional tomato only Margherita. The crust and pizza had a very nice texture to it. The over all flavor was very good. I think this is one of the best spots in the Wallingford area to get pizza. Our server was excellent. Very friendly and checked in on us often. We will be coming back.

DONOT order the Chicken Marsala Pizza — down right the worst pizza ever!!! It was Wet… Very heavy handed on the the toppings, they poured gravy on it. horrible! The only reason they get 2 Stars is because they made really Yummmmmm Wings — Sriacha And inferno wings were amazing
