Been here a few times, especially when I lived about two blocks away. The drinks are tasty(especially the lineup of martinis) and the bartenders are friendly. The food, however, has never been good here, despite multiple tries of various menu items. Great place to go for a drink, just don’t arrive hungry.

This place is rotten. The food was of a poor quality, and the drinks were weak. Also, poor crowd in attendance. Do not highly recommend.

I’m here for lunch right at opening. So very quiet, but exactly what I was looking for. I had a haddock sandwich that was good. Not blown away, but a good lunch that I would order again. Overall, a good experience. Except for country music playing.(Unless you’re into that)

Great neighborhood bar on Main Street Waltham. Food is very good. Everything on the menu is great and the cooks know exactly how to cook a burger, steak tips, etc… Waitstaff and bartenders are always friendly. Good music is always playing. Parking can be a bit challenging at times but never impossible. If your parallel parking skills are up to par you’ll have no problems.

My co workers and I usually go on Wednesday nights for trivia. The service is hit or miss, but the food was surprisingly good given the atmosphere. The outside looks nice and clean, but it is a bit dark and worn on the inside. The prices are very reasonable and as I said before, the food was actually good. I’ve order the burger with BBQ twice and it has been delicious every time along with the Cajun fries. There’s a decent selection of beers which keeps my co workers coming back(but mostly for the trivia). There seems to be a good group of regulars that come each week. If you are looking to be entertained this isn’t the bar for you, but there are TVs located throughout.

At the corner of a side street and Main Street, Joe sent me is a casual,(literally) dark bar with an outdoor patio in the back. They have a decent selection of draft beers and appetizers that I tired. It’s a low key, casual place for drinks after work. The sloppy fires that I tried were simply tossed in BBQ sauce, a little salty. Again, it’s a simple place to grab drinks.

Came because it’s one of the only places in Waltham with patio seating. Food was so so… ordered a turkey burger and fries. Burger was big and juicy, fries were ice cold. Good beer list on tap. Service could’ve been more friendly. Would come back for the patio but likely not order much in the way of food.

Atmosphere is your classic divey, hole in the wall restaurant. The pricing is is not to bad. $ 10 for burger type sandwiches with fries. Food quality is ok. I had a pulled pork sandwich sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, I like it a bit drier and spicier. Roll was ok toasted, not too doughy. They do have a nice selection of beers on tap, however I had a jack and diet coke, light on the coke., ;). Service was average, nothing special .we didnt have to wait too long for so that’s a plus. Also note that we sat outside on their«patio» under a pergola and it looked like it might fall so watch where you sit. out there. My final thoughts are if you are in a pinch for time and need a bite. otherwise go somewhere else.

Went early on Saturday night with family including 1 year old. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio(inside was a little dark). The waitress was friendly and we appreciated the high chair she brought out for us. When 3 of us ordered the same beer, she suggested a pitcher and that was a good deal. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the black bean soup. Easy walk from our house.

I’ve driven by and walked by Joe Sent Me a few times. The outside of this bar is very nice, the building is clean and clearly marked. As soon as you go into the bar, it does not reflect the outside. The place is very worn/outdated but charming. The space itself is small and really has no entertainment except a few TV’s and a Video music player. There is a full bar and they do offer a great selection of beers on tap. The prices are low and good, which is why the regulars keep coming back. In terms of food, I was pleasantly surprised at the food choices as well as the taste. We ordered two wraps and enjoyed them very much, I was very surprised as the kitchen is the size of a small one bathroom stall! Food came out quickly and service was good. I did find myself getting a little bored as all four TVs were showing the same college basketball game and country music was blaring from the bar speakers. There is enough space to add a game; golden tee or buck hunter, I am not sure why they do not have something fun in the corner? No KENO or lotto either in this establishment. Trivia is on Tuesday and Wednesday, I think that if I did return it would be on a night that had something going on.

Kind of bare bones with the service, but that is totally ok and expected at a bar. The burgers are EXCELLENT… That was a nice surprise.

Pleasantly surprised. Although very dead on an early Saturday night, we got great service and the my husband said the steak tips were best he has had in ages! Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Fajita salad was good too and very fresh. Prices were awesome! Carding is strict. Refused to serve my 30 year old husband a single beer. Would def go back for Bloody Mary bar or trivia!

So the ambience here is not the best, but in terms of bar food, it is absolutely delicious. The goat cheese burger is amazing and so are the sweet potato fries. The quality of the food is pretty insane given how teeny tiny the kitchen is! Wait staff is friendly. Love the patio out back in the summer.

went there for lunch for the first time. The pulled pork sandwich was very tasty. The place was fairly crowded and the bartender was acting as the waitress too so it can be a bit slow if you need to get back to work. All in all… not bad.

This is definitely a place to just get a beer or drink. veggie burger is from a freezer. even the fries weren’t worth eating. My friend got a buffalo chicken wrap and she said it was gross and didn’t finish it.

We have been going for Tuesday night trivia lately and it’s great! Pitcher of beer, sloppy fries, and trivia = great way to break up the week.

So, this place was okay. I went here because it’s literally down the street and has trivia. We got two appetizers: wings and a bucket of fries. The fries were awesome and hand cut. There were condiments on the table, picnic style, including malt vinegar, which is key. The wings were crispy and the buffalo sauce was good. I got charged for extra condiments… really? Are you hurting that badly that you charge 50 cents for extra blue cheese? For our meal I got fish tacos which were okay, not amazing. The fish itself was tasty. The pub rice side was blah. My husband got the steak tips because he saw the Phantom recommended them. They were huge and tasty but again, the pub rice was blah. Good craft brew selection and pitcher prices. Trivia is fun and fills up this dive. Overall, I will go again. For the beers, the trivia, and the decent pub grub.

The bartenders are amazingly friendly and making it worth the while. The kitchen provides very good bar food. The patio is nice. I was surprised to be charged for my additional dressing on the salad — but who cares? The bartender just gave me amazing service and convinced me to assign 4 stars. She is so modest.

Definitely not my favorite bar in Waltham. I’ve never been to eat, but in terms of going out to have fun on a weekend night, it’s almost always dead unless its«Brandeis Night» or «Bentley Night.» Some good things about them are that they have cheap drinks & fishbowls with fun flavors, & the bartenders are overall pretty cool. Overall, I can’t attest to their food, but I guess don’t come here if you’re looking for a quality drink or a bumpin’ time.

Oh come on. Joe’s a pretty good guy. He sent you to a decent bar with kind and attentive servers, a decent music selection on the jukebox, and a reasonably priced selection of beers on tap. Their buffalo chicken sangwich is an actual chicken breast with buffalo sauce, not a deep-fried battered horror like most places. I would respect Joe’s decision to send me here.
