perfect example of simple but wonderful. I’ve eaten here several times now and have nearly tried everything on the menu. I’ve yet to be disappointed, the food isn’t over powered by the spices used like most places, nor is it riddled with grease. Its just good food, done well and is my favorite place for mexicana.

Go for a quick eat or take-out. Deli with small seating area so it’s easy to get in and out. Was deciding between Rey Azteca and here, I think I made the right choice for me. Rey is a sit-down style place better for families or parties. Cholula is a deli so no need to tip(but you should) and don’t expect table service, besides bringing you the food. I decided upon the 3 taco combo trying: carnitas, al pastor and cesina(salted beef) would recommend al pastor and cesina. The tacos were authentic style and reminded me of El Limon but even slightly more filling as the tortillas are more substantial. You know tacos are real when the meat juices drip from the other end as you tilt it up to your mouth for consumption. Also tried one of the pans and it was really good! Just tasted like sweet bread, or pineapple bun if you’re familiar with Chinese pasteries. Overall, very solid taco place with pretty decent value. Not dirt cheap but well-priced. You can get your Mexican goods here too!

This place is as authentic as it gets. You know it’s good when all the local Mexicans come here to get fed! The authentic Mexican deli is pretty good, too, with some hard to find ingredients like authentic chorizo, cactus, husks for tamales, a variety of beans and hot sauces etc.

Not even close to authentic Mexican food, unless you like your Mexican to taste like Chinese. I’ve lived in the southwest for the last 10 years and have eaten lots of Mexican. Granted, even the Southwest variety is different from what you would have in Mexico, but I’ve had that too, and this place ain’t it. I had a Carne Asada burrito; my wife had the Pollo Asado burrito. When I got it home the refried beans they promised on the platter were not there. But the real surprise was cutting into it — there was rice in there. Rice. In a carne asada burrito. Carne Asada is carne asada, maybe some guac or pico de gallo and that’s it. They had rice and black beans. What made it worse was the rice on the side and the rice in the burrito wasn’t Mexican rice, it was Chinese fried rice! It had the little peas and carrots bits in it. Gross. This marks the first time I have ever eaten Mexican food and had the lingering taste of Chinese food in my mouth when I was done. And so begins the search for good Mexican food in Pennsylvania.

Total hole in the wall. Place was freezing cold when we walked on, but they eventually turn the heat on. The food was pretty good. My wife and I probably would have been good just with the loaded nachos(they were huge). I also got a trio of authentic Tacos. Carnitas was not very flavorful, but tongue and enchilado(I think that was it) was pretty good. Decent food at a decent price.

Another hidden gem! As authentic as is gets! I ordered the chicken tacos, and got an order of nachos for my son. Off the small deli area is a newer room with tables to sit and enjoy your meal. We ordered at the deli counter and had a seat. The wait was about 15 minutes for our food but well worth it. This was fresh! The tortilla were not something out of a bag, these tasted fresh as in fresh pressed! The cilantro and onion added a flare to every bite. The hot sauce was hot! I enjoyed the green(tomatillo?) sauce. The grilled cebollitas and pickled cactus petal was awesome! I brought the nachos home, and they were fantastic. Fresh made tortilla chips, refrained beans, tomatoes, cheese, and cream done the way nachos should be done. The menu is limited, and the deli counter is not like your neighborhood deli. This place is well worth it,

Finally stopped here today and got a trio of beef tacos for lunch and they were terrific. Next trip will involve some type of burrito I am sure. My new favorite spot is Cholula.

Cholula is the best authentic Mexican in the area. Leave the tex-mex for the American joints. Their tacos are amazing!
