I love this place. One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. Prices are fair, service is friendly and quick and the menu selection is large.

It’s time for me to upgrade Rey Azteca to the coveted 5 Star Realm! But seriously… this place is really good. They have an awesome menu — and the portions are big. My favorite things to order here are the fajitas(if you get the fajitas for two, you’ll still have leftovers) and any of the combos that includes a cheese quesadilla. I LOVE cheese quesadillas, and I’ve never found one as good as the ones here. The refried beans are also great. They have great vegetarian options as well — not always an easy find at Mexican restaurants. You also get complimentary chips and salsa, and they’ll refill it with no hassle if you’re like me and usually end up filling up on chips and salsa: P The servers are patient if you have questions, and they’re extremely attentive. The place is clean. I’ve never had a bad meal at either of the Rey Azteca locations I’ve been to — I definitely recommend this place.

AMAZINGFOOD! This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The prices are incredibly reasonable and it’s a BYOB. They have lunch specials as well that make it even cheaper and you still get a ton of food! Rey Azteca is worth making the trip, I’d suggest it to anyone in the area!

5 stars off the beaten path Mexican food. Food made with love. Can’t beat the cost either. Highly highly recommend stopping in to grab a bite here.

The complimentary salsa and chips were nice. The salsa was not too spicy which I enjoyed. I ordered the carne asada tacos. The foil randomly had something like sour cream on the bottom of it but there was none of it in my actual dish so I have no idea where it came from. The meat itself was decent but the taco had nothing else in it. I’m used to having these types of tacos with cilantro and onion in them at other restaurants. The refried beans that came as a side to my tacos were very tasty! I had fried ice cream for dessert. It was just alright. The service is good though, can’t complain about that! Overall, I’m kind of disappointed with the food I ate especially after reading all the great reviews. I’m just not in much of a hurry to return. Nothing really wowed me.

Really good prices, very fast service. This is Mexican fast food: Not junk like Taco Bell(although I do appreciate TB every now and again,) but legit Mexican fast food. Ask for the cheese sauce with your free chips and amazing salsa. The burrito san jose is gluttony at it’s finest.

Great Mexican food, great prices. I’ve gone to this place many times over the years, and never had anything bad or just ok. The do it good, and they do it right. You really can’t ask for better.

Awesome food! It’s fast, cheap, and delicious! The lunch specials there are the perfect size and for $ 6 or less. Chips and salsa are delicious. Ask for the spicy salsa… it is so much better than the regular salsa. The regular salsa kind of taste like jarred salsa. I love the refried beans. I always get the special steak burrito that is covered in melted cheese. YUMMY!

Coming from Texas, we were looking for authentic Mexican food, and decided to try it after reading the reviews. The pork taco, chicken enchillada, and beef burrito were good, but the chili relleno was not egg battered or fried, and the tamale’s masa to chicken ratio was way off. Not too spicy, and the salsa was good. The décor needs work, but for the prices the food was good.

The food here is unbelievable for the price. We go there often, maybe 2 times per month. Never had a bad meal there.

Extremely fast service, and the food was good + inexpensive. The complementary salsa is also great, it has a mild tangy flavor and is just spicy enough to make it interesting. Would visit again.

Probably the best Mexican restauraunt in bucks county. Prices also cannot be beat. I ordered the taquitos plate(2 chicken and 2 steak taquitos) and couldn’t believe how full I was after only 2 or 3 of them. Also had their fish taco and it, too, was awesome. Service was great and staff was super friendly. Complimentary chips were good, too. Great place. Will definitely be back.

Hand down my fave Mexican restaurant! The chicken flautas are FANTASTIC. The service is always timely and the workers are always friendly. The prices are fair and you can feed a lot for a little. I frequent here every time I am back in The Hatboro area. You also can’t beat the free chips and salsa!

I eat here a bit ago and didn’t care for it at all. Having traveled to Mexico and eating here at other places, I’d say this place isn’t very authentic to me. The food seems mass produced and actually bland to me. To be honest I think it’s a bit of a joke that they serve what they serve. I’d doubt anyone working here eats what they send out of the kitchen.

Just went in & asked what I could get(to go) without onions on it. The waitresses eyes got big and she said, «but EVERYTHING has onions on it.» I was bummed(super craving mexican food) but she said wait, and tried to find me alternatives. She was SOOO helpful! In the end, I got three grilled chicken tacos supreme & their DELICIOUS fresh chips with salsa for $ 10. I got home, and my chicken was absolutely succulent, couldn’t believe how quickly I got it. My one small gripe was that my flour tacos were unappetizingly soggy. This could have been because I waited 20 minutes to eat them, or they weren’t cooked enough. Either way, the filling was soo good I just dumped it onto my nachos & am enjoying them now!

Rey Azteca feels and tastes like authentic Mexican food. It is one of the only Mexican restaurants that I’ve ever been to that has placed so much thought into the décor. You really feel like you’ve walked into a small town restaurant in the heart of Mexico. My date ordered the Fajitas Texano($ 15) which came with tortillas and a salad. The food itself was cooked well and the meat had a lot of flavor. The only complaint was that it was a little dry and he had to order a hot sauce on the side. I ordered the Quesadilla Texano($ 13) that had a fully stuffed quesadilla with a salad and rice. The rice was a little bland so I mixed up the salad with the guacamole and then it was great. The meal came with a complimentary bowl of nacho chips and salsa. Its great when you have to wait for the food to arrive. The restaurant has always been full when we went so don’t expect the food to come out right away. This isn’t going to be like Chipotle or Taco Bell so be prepared for ground beans and full pieces of meat. If you want real Mexican food then this is the place.

I have eaten at Rey Azteca at least 2 dozen times for a reason! Their food is fresh, fast and delicious. Beginning with the bottomless chips and salsa placed on every table(both are yummy) and with every entrée I have tried, all is delish. I have eaten here with at least 6 different dining companions, most frequently in a party of 2, but also several times as a party of 4. Just as good each time on food and service for all of us. Prices are reasonable, and portions sizes are good to generous. This is a casual BYOB, and the staff is very welcoming and solicitous. Highly recommend it if you like well-priced, homemade Mexican food and fast service.

Ray’s is our go-to local Mexican spot. Reasonably priced, no frills place which happens to serve delicious Mexican food. I wish I could provide a more robust review but the first dish I ever ordered there(steak fajitas) was so delicious that even though their menu boasts a TON of temping options, I can’t help but stay loyal to my old standby. My husband is the same, always ordering the California burrito. The food is always fresh, plentiful and extremely delicious. Again, it’s no frills. If you’re looking for haute cuisine Mexi-fusion, this isn’t the place to go, but if you want authentic cuisine in a lively, family oriented environment, than this is the place. Final note: the servers are amazing and always super accommodating to us and our toddler. We love that it feels like family when you’re inside. Keep it up, Ray Azteca!
