This Cracker Barrel location is just fine. It was close to my hotel, so it was just a quick hop over there to have dinner. Staff was very friendly and polite and the food came out quickly. Parking lot has tons of spots. The store in the front has lots of tasty treats to carry home with you after your massive meal. Prices overall are pretty good, especially for the amount of food you receive. The food itself is pretty average. I had fried catfish(very tasty) with mashed potatoes(average), fried apples(decent), and cornbread(virtually flavorless). I have never been overly impressed by Cracker Barrel, but I do need to try their breakfast sometime, as I have heard it is pretty darn delicious.

The hotel we stayed at didn’t have free breakfast and so it was good olé Cracker Barrel to the rescue after our 1st choice, a local diner was showing up as closed. My brother and I got drinks(OJ for $ 2.69& Lemonade for $ 2.59) and then egg sandwich with over easy eggs and hash brown($ 4.89). When I got the bill, it really struck me how high the mark-up for drinks are when they cost half of our food! My hash brown potion was also super-salty and when I mentioned that to my brother, he said his was fine. Indeed when I took a bite, his tasted ok, so very weird! I’m also really disliking the sweetness of the sourdough bread served by Cracker Barrel and next time, if remember, will try to get brown bread instead. Out total was $ 15 and change but annoyed me that cost was 1⁄3 of that was for the drinks! Service was great as always, but I kept thinking of the Snooze chain of restaurants I’d eaten at while in Colorado and wishing they were a bit bigger and available here as an alternative to Cracker Barrel. This place deserves 0 Stars, but seeing as how that isn’t an option it will get 1. We ordered 2 kids plates, and 2 adult meals. All of it was disgusting and flavorless. There was no seasoning on anything. The best way to describe the food, is SLOP! We ordered chicken and dumplings, fried chicken and naked tenders for the kids. Just nasty. I didn’t see salt or pepper on anything, let alone taste it. Do not go here!

Eat here all the time with my parents. Had excellent service today. Ralph was a great waiter. He seated my parents while we were still driving to Cracker Barrel. He checked on us but did not hover. Very polite.

Asked for separate receipts as it was business lunch. Waitress put all on one receipt They separated at register. Everyone paid separate but I got an additional separate charge on my card. May have crooks amongst them. Called manager and still awaiting credit to my card 8 days later. Don’t trust them at the registers. Have notified corporate. Still waiting.

Food and service were good. Management and cleanliness need some serious attention. After sitting down, we went through 10 sets of silverware for 5 people and it was all dirty. Not«water spots» dirty, but«chunks of food» dirty. I’ll post photos if I can. After the 10 bad sets, we asked for the manager. After explaining our problem, he politely said he would take care of it. Our food arrived and still no silverware. We found the manager again and asked for the silverware. What he brought us was worse than the original 10 sets. We ended up eating off plastic ware with absolutely no confidence that our plates were any cleaner than our silverware. We asked for the GM afterward. He gave no s#its. Go to Perry or Macon.

Went for breakfast. So many options to choose from! Had scrambled eggs, sausage, grits. Not a lot of eggs, but they were fine. The sausage was a little greasy but tasted amazing. The grits were a bit plain. The biscuits and gravy were good. Service was amazing. Lots of refills. Offered to go cups. Offered straws!!! She was super friendly and very helpful. The store is cool and had lots of neat things like the super sized candy! I’ll be returning…

This is a pretty good Cracker Barrel. I went there last New Year’s Day to get a traditional meal and it was good. They were giving away sides of black eyed peas for the occasion. The restaurant is often crowded, but I guess that just means a lot of people enjoy it.

Ordered their chicken and dumplings. Looked like pule with chicken. So disgusting and it was served to me warm… almost cold. Biscuits were also hard as a rock… their broccoli and sweet potato weren’t too bad though… still somewhat disappointing

Ask for Tavia during the day, and Key in the evening, for the best guest experience ever. Food is great and consistent, and you’ve gotta love service from awesome truly wonderful individuals. These two are amazing.

Not a very good experience at this restaurant. My wife and I ordered the catfish filets recommended by our waitress Jenna. The fish tasted old and stale, my wife ordered a baked sweet potato and it was cold. The corn bread had no taste was like cardboard, not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Went mostly for the biscuits and apple butter jam. They were so good. Ordered a meal with country ham and when they brought my plate I could smell the meat was bad. My husband said it smelled like ham and tasted weird. I tasted it and had to spit it out. I asked our waitress to bring me sugar ham instead. That was much better. Our waitress Jaime was extremely nice too.

This Cracker Barrel is like any other Cracker Barrel which is a good thing except that the weekday crew needs to work on their customer service. Just because we are«young whippersnappers» coming in for a breakfast amongst a bunch of old folks does not mean that we should be met with cold shoulders especially since I was in my duty uniform! Food is usually delicious. Pancakes were good and fluffy as usual. Eggs and bacon were unremarkable. Unfortunately, I ordered a a simple ham biscuit and it was overbearingly salty. The biscuit wasn’t even a biscuit; it seemed like some small dry roll. The ham was so salty. I had to put some syrup on it and that didn’t even work to cut some of the salt. I couldn’t eat the nasty biscuit. The whole time I kept thinking about a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit… yummy! The waitress we had was not very personable but at first she was fast and responsive. This went downhill when our food hit the tables and then we were forgotten until I had made a point to stack all of the dishes and leave them in plainview. Finally she brought the check over but ignored the dishes. Flash forward to the cashier and she was Ms Congeniality – NOT. What a grumpy, wretched woman who mumbled and grumbled and snatched our card and threw it back. I really wish we didn’t stop there yesterday(2 January 2014).

Have been here several times and have yet to have a bad experience. I love CB by the way — delicious food. I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner and every time, the food is hot and well seasoned. CB is popular so expect a crowd anytime you go. For newbies — its an actual store and restaurant with an old southern flair. They usually have rocking chairs outside and some have checker boards to play on. The store — sell their products for cooking — pancake mix, syrup, cornbread mix, jam, gravy, etc, clothes, cook books, southern décor, that state football paraphernalia, children clothes and toys, lotions/creams, and more. The restaurants usually have old time posters of products sold in the past and historical pictures. I like that the menu stays the same but adds on like currently they have low calorie menu — for lunch, breakfast and dinner meals — and they were good too. I would definitely recommend going for breakfast and getting their pancakes — OMG delicious!

Oh mah gawd… It’s only been a few days, I miss this place already. Y’all need one of these in California! Honestly, I came here to see if I could buy some gifts/souvenirs to the friends back home in lovely Bay Area– California. Since a few of us keeps talking and drooling over the commercials for the restaurant. The line looked pretty long to dine in as we browsed the country store. My brother asked and the wait was actually pretty short so I paid for my gifts and it was already time to sit. YAY! The tables had board games on it. The kids had crayons and of course a kid menu activity to enjoy as we waited for our waitress. The menu, I couldn’t decide! I originally wanted the sampler meal, but I saw that 10oz rib-eye with 3, yes, THREE, sides was only $ 13.95, I had to have it. A little fear of it being some small portion for the price, but I was okay with it, since I was about to board the plane afterwards. The meal came and I’m pretty sure my eyes bulged open pretty bad. I thought I had all my food brought out to me then I realized my bread/biscuit was still missing. The wait for the food was a little longer, but it wasn’t that long. Probably because we were all hungry. ** My medium rare rib-eye? It was only alright. Why? It was cooked perfectly the way I want it, my cow to still moo just a bit, not under cooked nor over cooked. It was only alright because it was a little on the plain side. But the meat to fat portion was excellent. ** Mashed Potatoes– you get it as it is, no gravy, but it was flavored deliciously, the only down side was that it felt dry. Luckily that’s where my dumplins came in ** Dumplins– you’d think it’d come with chicken or vegetables of sort. Nope, straight up just soup/sauce and huge dumplins served in a bowl. It was wonderful! Even thought there was no meat or vegetables, biting into it, slurping it, just made it taste like it wasn’t missing. You wouldn’t know it was missing unless you poked around the bowl. Perfection never made me drool this bad. ** Macaroni and cheese– who can say no to mac & cheese? SCRUMPTIOUS, would that be the right word? The pasta wasn’t hard or undercooked, the sauce wasn’t running, watery or even dry. It was faultless… the only thing wrong was that I wish I had more! :) … pricewise as a whole? I told my brother it was my treat since he was gracious enough to drive us from middle of nowhere to the city and mini cities inbetween without complaints. So when the bill came, I feared the worst of at about $ 60 – 70 for the bill. My jaws dropped and I showed my brother. For 3 adult meals and 2 kids meal? It came to about $ 40. HOLYCOW! where I live, for meals costing $ 40, that’s only for 2 people. Very impressed. Everyone was polite, courteous, worked at a pace no one can complain over. It was clean, the look and feel of the place made me wish I lived there. My only regret? I didn’t get to take a picture of the old-fashion looking fireplace with pots.

This place is like a time trip back in the early southern tradition. This is what we used to imagine what a restaurant would look like back then as we read our history book. s We ordered biscuits with our order and had them come out first. They were no doubt delicious. The atmosphere of this place is a real feel into the definition of what southern home-style cooking means. I would really recommend the Country Fried Steak.
