A nice, upscale lunch and dinner destination, with very well done sandwiches, soups and entrees. The setting is very nice as well.

Eggs Chesapeake featured an english muffin cut in half topped with crab cakes, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, paired with roasted potatoes and fresh grapes and orange. It was excellent. The coffee was very good too, and the entrée came with a basket of fresh and warm cranberry scones. One of the best meals I’ve had, the entrée costs 16 dollars.

Excellent food, and they will try to get you in even when you should have gotten a reservation. Great service, too.

Took my wife there for her birthday dinner. The décor and staff were very warm and inviting. She had the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes, I had the filet with creamy mashed potatoes. It was outstanding and delicious to the last bite. Highly recommended.

First time at Claire’s…went for wedding anniversary(wife and I). Atmosphere was very nice… old town Warrenton is cool area. Crab soup is excellent and I would return just for the soup alone. Wife had garden salad & veal entre which is was flavorful and I had the the beet salad(excellent) and filet/grilled shrimp special. Big portions and really good quality!

We are visiting from out of town. We happened to find Claire’s on Unilocal. They were packed when we arrived and they went above and beyond to find a table for 5. The food was absolutely delicious. Have to say probably the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. The service was fantastic. I’m so disappointed that I we won’t be here long enough to have another meal.

This is a good place and about as «classy» as you can get in warranton. Good atmosphere and the food is usually very good. Love the view overlooking the garden… and table by the fireplace in winter is excellent.

Amazing food, great service. One of my favorite places for dinner and the brunch is good too. I often bring out of town guests to Claire’s and they are always pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful restaurant in a small town like Warrenton.

Great happy hour at the bar with special prices on appetizers and drinks. One of Warrenton’s best restaurants. Always consistent.

Beautiful little restaurant, known for its history, very good food, and atrocious service. If you’re looking to treat an out-of-towner to a dose of Fauquier County, this is a great place. I will say, the rude service is a poor reflection of our friendly county, but being curt is a forgivable factor for me — they bring me my food and drinks and that’s really all I need them to do. I love the atmosphere. It’s clean, rustic, and bright. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Give it a shot if you’re feeling a little fancy.

My friend and I met for a business lunch at Claire’s having selected the place for its location nicely halfway between us, and also based on excellent Unilocal reviews. We weren’t disappointed. This restaurant, nicely fit into an old brick train station, has great food, great service, and great ambience. I can’t wait to bring my wife back for lunch, brunch, or dinner… even though it’s a 50 minute drive from home. My friend had a nice-looking salad served with two good sized grilled lamb chops and I had a cup to delicious Thai peanut and chicken soup, followed by «the perfect Reuben,» both of my choices coming from the Specials menu. I have zero bad things to say about the experience and so feel compelled to highly recommend Claire’s at the Depot.

Hadn’t been to Claire’s for lunch, dinners yes but not lunch. What a delight! The bright and sunny rooms were cozy with not one but two fireplaces going. Charming. Menu light and yet hearty. Her She Crab soup rivals my own and the Shrimp Cobb was bountiful in their portion of grilled shrimp. While a must for dinner, it is now going to be on my radar for lunch.

Bartenders are amazing. Finally, the cocktails compliment the food. In previous visits, the drinks were subpar(If you’ve ever tasted that Thyme Lemonade you know I’m not lying) and I was pleased to see someone finally talked some sense into hardheaded Claire. Emmett is a wonderful addition, hopefully the 72 year old will take a backseat and let him do the business justice.

I’ve been here on two occasions. Not sure what we ate last time but tonight was as great as my memory. We started with the beet and goat cheese salad and the ahi tuna wontons. Delicious and fresh! Followed by the main courses. My wife got the flounder stuffed with crab meat and I got the filet topped with crabmeat — regularly topped with shrimp. Leonardo was our amazing waiter and Emmet, former owner of McMahons is the manager. It’s been three years since I have seen him and he still remembered my name. WOW! Crem brûlée for desert finished perfectly and an affordable check to top. Hands down the best restaurant in Warrenton! I’m bringing friends back. Cheers Claire’s.

Dined here on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. I requested a table by the fireplace, to which they happily obliged. We had the She Crab soup, which was good, followed by the Yellowfin Ahi Tuna Wontons, which were great. I got the filet & frites(awesome) and she got the special. We shared the salted caramel gelato for dessert and loved it. It was delicious and they didn’t skimp on the serving :) Service was excellent although the drinks were a little slow to show up. Not a big deal, I suppose. If I find myself in Warrenton again, I’ll definitely return here for a meal.

Our evening began with drinks. Claires’ bar is well-stocked, including one of my favorite rye whiskeys. Our server was happy to modify my order for a Claire’s Manhattan, including a stirred finish rather than shaking, resulting in a very satisfying cocktail. There was a hint of St. Elizabeth’s Allspice Liqueur in the mix, which made the drink all the more interesting. My wife enjoyed an Elderflower Prosecco cocktail, a floral upgrade to sparkling wine. Very tasty. Dinner was a delicious salmon on cedar with mango salsa for me, and a petit filet mignon for my wife. The filet was buttery and very tender, and my salmon was perfectly cooked. The vegetables were well cooked, if not exactly memorable. We skipped dessert, as the portions were perfect for our appetites. Service was polite, discrete, with a dash of humor. Highly recommended.

Very good food in a great setting. The place is not that large and does not have the noise of a chain restaurant. The bar area seemed busy, and if you get a table, you will like the atmosphere there. The service was great. The specials were great options. We had an appetizer that was excellent. I had the seafood special for the night, and that too was very good. The coconut cake for dessert is a must if that’s your flavor. Highly suggest you try this place, with great service, excellent food, and parking is readily available just outside the doors.
