Denny’s is Denny’s, nothing special, but still a decent, inexpensive meal. My wife and I went this past weekend… she got the ultimate omelette and enjoyed it. It was the typical liquid eggs out of a box with precooked sausage crumbles and pre-cut veggies out of a bag, exactly what we expected. Same with the hashbrowns, straight from a bag and somewhat crispy, but not quite. Not homemade, but still edible for a decent price IF you know what you’re getting. I got the ‘Build your own Grand Slam’, I picked eggs over easy, bacon, sausage and toast. The eggs were cooked good, the sausage, bacon and toast were all good as well. Denny’s is about feeding the masses more than it is about good quality home cooking. They are good at what they do… serving mediocre, semi pre-cooked/frozen foods to create complete meals(ie., frozen peppers, onions, mushrooms and sausage in the omelette. If you go there knowing what to expect, you will not be disappointed. However if you go there expecting a home cooked meal, you will be very disappointed. The waitress was the star of the show, very friendly, attentive and quick. One more thing I do not like about Denny’s transaction process is when the waitress takes your Credit or Debit card you have to tell her the amount you’re tipping. Not her fault at all, but a tacky process on the part of Denny’s management. I always have and always will leave a tip whether the service is good or bad, this is how the waitress’s and waiter’s make a living. But I do not like being put on the spot and being asked how much I’m tipping.

Although the coffee is pretty terrible my wife’s skillet was very good and we had a pretty good waitress. Using Unilocal I got 20% off 1 meal so overall a good experience.

Went to this Denny’s as we were snowed in and had no where else to go. We were greeted in a pleasant manner and seated quickly. The atmosphere was nice and quiet since it was snow everywhere. Not many people where in due to the weather. A great thing about this one is it being connected to a 7 – 11 so you can just walk over for a quick snack. Our waitress was very nice in asking for our drinks and orders. Since it was empty our food came out pretty quick and hot. The food was pretty good. I ordered the loaded chicken potato skillet and it came out just like I liked it. If you ever need a quick save meal Denny’s is a great place to stop!

Wow! I didn’t expect to be saying this about a Denny’s, but this is the best breakfast experience in town! The service, food, coffee, and menu options were all very impressive! We will be back.

My experience here today was TERRIBLE! I was waiting for someone to come out with a camera and tell me I was being pranked… Seriously. I’ve taken my kids here multiple times and we have never had an issue before. I mean, it’s never been spectacular, but you get what you pay for, and everyone was always kind. Today, as soon as we walked in I got a strange feeling. I had to wait a few minutes to be seated even though we were the only people there. There was a waitress staring at us from across the room though… Highly odd… just seat us already! Our waiter was a teenager with NO experience or manners. He waited way too long to come over and get our drink order. By time he arrived, we had closed the menus and we’re ready to order everything. After I ordered my meal, he asked me «does that come with eggs???» I said, yes… It does. So, 2 mins later he came back telling me I was wrong and that my order did not include eggs. I showed him in another menu that indeed, the All American Slam has 3 scrambled eggs! He was VERY rude about it all. Once that was done… I heard him laughing with the cook about our food. They were trying to short my kids of their fries on purpose. They literally brought my kids like 5 fries each with their kids meals. It’s not funny to mess with my children. Wtf?! Usually they bring out a plate full. I immediately commented on this when he came out and asked for the usual portion. He said there was nothing he could do. When I asked to talk to the manager I found out he was also the cook(wonderful) and gave an unimpressed face. THEN, I heard them loudly talking shit about me in the kitchen. «She said it was a bullshit amount of fries and wants more. She rolled her eyes when I told her you were the manager. You might wanna go make her stop.» Wow. So, as the dumbass«manager» approaches I told him I could hear everything that was said about me and that I actually didn’t say the fries were«bullshit» and was confused why he shorted us on purpose. He of course did not admit he did wrong and blamed the waiter for everything. He told the waiter to apologize to us, and complained about making more fries… When will they realize you can hear them in the kitchen??? So, long story short, I was completely disrespected, angry and won’t be returning again. IHOP it is from now on. I hope they both get fired. Some people should NEVER work in customer service!!!

We’ve been to this Denny’s a number of times. I think like just about everywhere else it is a hit or miss. Last time I went, I did not order breakfast! I ventured out and ordered the fried platter. It was basically a fish and chips with a side of broccoli and fried shrimp. It was delicious. Very flavorful. It was fried a nice color and texture held tight. Broccoli was well steamed and seasoned. I was pleased and would get it again.

Just ok. Went here with my wife for breakfast. Service was not good at all. The waitress only brought us a drink once. I asked for a refill multiple times When the food finally came, I asked her for some toast. That never showed either. Got the bill and course I was charged for the toast. I won’t be coming back !

Visited this Denny’s for the first time last night about 1:30am. My guy and i are in the service industry so it was a rare treat to get out after a long night closing down the restaurant we work at. I’m more understanding than most, being a fellow server… however, upon walking into the restaurant we saw four tables cluttered with dirty plates, cups, and napkins. There were 2 tables of four guests and three with individual patrons sitting solo. All but the table of four behind us appeared to have closed out their checks or were in the process thereof. The table behind us were all in need of beverage refills but were not getting any attention from the staff. My guy and I were sat quickly then forgotten about, just like the unbussed tables. Our booth was not properly cleaned and previous patrons napkins and straw wrappers littered the floor by our feet. Fortunately, after 20 mins our orders were taken. Our food took more than 14 minutes(for basic breakfast items this is ridiculous). I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of limp, cold sausage(biscuits were good). My guy ordered the avocado omelette and grits. What he got was a heap of cold avocados, pico, rubbery bacon wrapped in a big, cold, egg-pocket. His grits were soupy and terrible. The server was very pleasant however, although she completely left the restaurant in disarray. The tables were still unbussed and the restaurant a complete clutter even after we left. Being servers and understanding that the hours can be long and the foot work exhausting we left a big tip regardless of having a terrible conclusion to our long day. I do not recommend this restaurant for those needing comfort food or even a snack in the late hours. I’m guessing by the full parking lot at daytime the A-Team gets all the good shifts. Will not be visiting the skeleton crew again!

It is hard for me to decided weather im a fan or not I love dennys that’s no the problem the issue is certain food is and some isn’t we stay at the hotel and eat there all the time so for example one night the classic burger is really good cooked well and ver tasty but then the next night it will be chared or the side salad that’s supposed to have lettus, tomato, onion, cheese, croutons, and cucumbers 9 times out of 10 it has nothing but lettus and onion so all in all the food is good but sometimes its not

People don’t realize that you can get a meal here for $ 2.00! The biscuit with sausage gravy and hash browns is a real deal. I eat there twice a week. Lori and Quentin are our favorite servers. We also love the different menu specials that offer tasty treats. But our all over favorite are the breakfast items you can have any time of the day. Denny’s is the place to go when you are on a budget.

I’d never been to a «Denny’s» before, but we had errands to run in Warrenton & northern parts, so stopped in here for Sunday breakfast around 8:30 a.m. Not very busy, so we were seated immediately in a booth that had obviously just been«wiped down». Both the seats & the table were sticky wet, as were the menus. We stuck to the seats, the menus stuck to the table, & the menu pages stuck together. How disgustingly fun first thing in the morning. We started by ordering our beverages. Water for hubby, one coffee($ 2.09) & a large orange juice($ 2.55) for me. Waitress returned with one large orange juice &2 coffees in Styrofoam cups. After apologizing for the accidental extra coffee, she volunteered the information that they didn’t have any«real» coffee cups available, thus the Styrofoam cups. Reason? They were«understaffed». How being«understaffed» has any bearing on not having china coffee cups available was beyond us — especially since all the surrounding tables had regular coffee cups. I really didn’t care until I took my first sip. WORSTCUPOFCOFFEEEVER. And this was their«Signature Coffee». Good grief. Strong, bitter, utterly unpleasant. I’m not a coffee connoisseur. All I ask is that the coffee has a nice flavor & hasn’t been sitting around for an eternity. This was terrible stuff, & the very first time I haven’t finished restaurant coffee. Barely made a dent in this swill. Orange juice was thankfully fine. Hubby ordered a «Build Your Own» «Grand Slam»($ 6.49) with scrambled eggs, chicken sausage patty, turkey bacon, & pancakes. No syrup is on the tables, no syrup was brought, & it took between 15 – 20 minutes before that was corrected. Hubby said everything was«just okay», but let’s just say a couple of hours later, he rescinded that. I ordered the«Moon over My Hammy»(I could excuse the kitsch if it had been any good) omelet. A ham-&-cheese omelet with ham, Swiss, & Cheddar cheese($ 8.59). Came with hash browns & toast. The omelet itself was — as with hubby’s meal — «just okay». A bit overdone & more than a bit lacking in cheese. Lots of tiny bits of diced ham though. I took one bite of the hash browns & was done with them. Half-&-half charred black & raw cold uncooked white, with an absolutely horrible flavor of griddle grease. AWFUL! And the toast? Soft, cold, & floppy. Had barely been subjected to any heat. While we sat«enjoying» this repast, our waitress returned with a large tray containing some other table’s four breakfasts & nearly proceeded to begin serving them to us. Hello? Brain engagement anyone? We’re sitting there eating — do we LOOK like we’re waiting for 4 more breakfasts? Maybe those extra breakfasts were to go with the extra horrible coffee we didn’t order. Both of us were somewhat ill several hours later, which we completely attribute to this horrible breakfast. Monetary damage for this travesty after tax & a less than stellar tip due to crummy service in a less-than-full chain restaurant? $ 23.71. Bottom Line: Folks — I’m not a food snob, especially when it comes to breakfast. All I want is a fresh cup of coffee, a glass of juice, & simple breakfast fare properly cooked. That’s it. This was one of the worst restaurant breakfasts I’ve ever had — & I’ve had some doozies in my lifetime. It’s given me a whole new appreciation for IHOP, & I’m not a big IHOP fan. We will NOT be darkening the door of this, or any other, Denny’s in the future.

I think the bad reviews are just people in a bad mood. I had good service and a yummy grand slam.

I love this Denny’s location. The coffee is almost always fresh & the food is great. I always build my own grand slam — I love the oatmeal! They have wheat toast too which is nice. The staff is attentive & usually the food comes out to you pretty quick. They’re open 24 hours too — which is a huge bonus!

Haven’t been to a Denny’s in the past 6 – 7 years. Had breakfast at the Warrenton location this morning. On one side of the building, Denny’s shares a common entrance with a 7 – 11. I was surprised to see a Free Wifi logo at the entrance to the Denny’s — not the first place I would think of for free Wifi — I guess they are trying to compete with Panera in this regard. I asked for a non-smoking seat and was told the whole restaurant is non-smoking. Bonus points for this — many moons ago — whenever I used to go to the Denny’s in the City of Fairfax, even getting seated in the non-smoking section was not a guarantee that you were going to be insulated from smoke or the smell of smoke. I ordered the Heartland Scramble — a scramble of eggs with small chunks of potato, bacon, green bell peppers and onions, and cheddar cheese, plus two strips of bacon, two links of sausage, and two pancakes. I added coffee and a small glass of pink grapefruit juice. Cons: The bacon strips were paper thin and crumbly — very insubstantial amount of bacon. The sausage links were not as «sausagy» as I think they should have been. The grapefruit juice tasted like some sort of mix. Pros: The Scramble was damn tasty. The sausage was not greasy. The hash browns were cooked perfectly. Extra bonus points for having a brand of hot sauce I’ve never seen before. It could simply be an existing brand rebottled/relabeled — but I did not recognize the taste — it had a nice kick to it(see attached photo). A manager made the rounds through the dining room to check with each table to see how everything was, and my waitress was attentive. So service was good. The place was clean and well appointed as Denny’s go. (Insert Cheech and Chong accent): The place is open 24 hours a day — no cover charge any time!
